1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula Coupe 2-door 6.6l on 2040-cars
Katy, Texas, United States
This car is sweet! 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400. Car has a very strong engine and hauls butt. This car is complete, and road ready. Bought the car as a weekend toy, and now I need the money. So unfortunately its gotta go. This car is a lot of fun. The only things that this car needs are.. a couple trim pieces need replacing on the interior. Nothing major. Then drivers seat needs repair.. If you care about those types of things. Wasn't bad enough to bother me, and I'm pretty anal. Last but not least the car does leak a little oil, but not coming from seals. I had all them replaced. I think maybe the oil pan is leaking or something. So should be an easy fix. I drive the car everywhere. Never any overheating issues. I will buy a new battery for the car once it's sold because every now and then I have to jump it. That's about it in a nutshell. Whoever gets this car will love it! It makes you smile everytime you mash the gas.....

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
BMX rider flips for wrecked Detroit football stadium
Fri, Jun 12 2015Detroit is littered with derelict ruins. Abandoned automotive assembly plants, sure – but also former sports venues, like Tiger Stadium in Corktown, Roesink Stadium in Hamtramck, and the Silverdome in Pontiac. BMX rider Tyler Fernengel remembers going to see the Lions and Pistons play at the Silverdome in his youth, and competed there in Supercross as a boy. The stadium hasn't been used in years, but now, with his career just picking up, Tyler has returned to film this video – riding through its halls, jumping its stairwells and flipping over its grandstands and field. It's a fitting tribute to a once-great venue of suburban Michigan. Check out the footage in this latest clip from Red Bull. General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
