Bangor, Pennsylvania, United States
WELL , WHERE TO START ????????? AS YOU WILL SEE , WHEN YOU VIEW THE PICTURES , THIS CAR WAS NOT OWNED BY SOMEONE WHO LOVED OR KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT PONTIACS !!!!! I HOPE THIS PIECE OF PONTIAC HISTORY IS PURCHASED BY SOMEONE WHO HAS THE ABILITY & COULD RESTORE IT TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION. WELL , WITH THAT SAID, THIS IS 1 OF 1817 10th ANNIVERSARY 400/4SPD TRANS AMS PRODUCED. IT HAS 23,478 ORIGINAL MILES ON IT, WITH THE ORIGINAL PAINT & INTERIOR. THE BODY , INTERIOR , FLOORS , TRUNK , & T TOPS ARE BEAUTIFUL. THIS CAR ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 400 , 4 SPEED TRANS , & A BEAUTIFUL 5 COLOR BIRD ON THE HOOD , WITH A 6.6L SHAKER. AS YOU CAN SEE THE CHEVY 350, CHEVY TRANS, B&M SHIFTER ,HOOD SCOOP, FRAME CONNECTORS , TRACTION BARS & WHEELS ARE NOT WHAT BELONG WITH THIS PONTIAC. SOME OF THE OTHER MAJOR CHANGES THAT WERE MADE INCLUDE , BRAKE LINES , FUEL LINES & TANK , FRONT SPRINGS & THE A/C REMOVED. I WAS TOLD WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR , THAT THE GENTLEMAN ( MR I THINK I OWN A CAMARO ) ORIGINALLY HAD A BIG BLOCK CHEVY WITH A BLOWER IN IT & THAT IS WHY THE HOOD WAS CUT ( IDIOT !! ) . I DO HAVE A USED HOOD & GAS TANK THAT WILL BE SOLD WITH THE CAR ( SEE PICTURES ). MY PLANS WERE TO REMOVE THE CHEVY PARTS & BUILD ANOTHER PONTIAC RACE CAR, BUT SOMETIMES PLANS CHANGE. THIS CAR IS NOT ROAD READY & WOULD REQUIRE MECHANICAL WORK , AS STATED. I DO FEEL IT IS ABOUT READY FOR THE DRAG STRIP AS IS. THE PICTURES SUPPLIED SHOULD TELL MOST OF THE STORY, BUT MORE CAN BE SUPPLIED IF NEEDED. THIS CAR IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY. I CAN BE REACHED AT 484-274 3847 FOR ANY TOUGH QUESTIONS KEITH. THANKS FOR LOOKING OR BIDDING

New Forza 6 car pack will let you race the Pontiac Aztek
Fri, Jan 29 2016Just in time for this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the new Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 on the Xbox One lets you slip into the driver's seat of last year's winner. If you want to take something much weirder for a spin, the collection also includes a 2005 Pontiac Aztek. The download is available now for $6.99. The Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona was in a four-car battle early in last year's race, but it eventually was victorious. Forza Motorsport 6 also challenges drivers who download the car to a new Rivals event around Daytona, and the fastest people could win Alpinestars prizes. If you're nostalgic for a classic Daytona racecar, this pack includes Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7. The V8-powered beast won the IMSA GTO class in the 24-hour event in 1990. It should be fun around the game's longer road courses like Road Atlanta. This collection also has an eclectic mix of vehicles that aren't racecars. The controversial Aztek and the equally-controversial 1996 Subaru SVX take their places beside a lineup that offers drivers three eras of performance cars – a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5, and 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde. The video below shows all of them in action. Race to the Finish Line with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 By Xbox Wire Staff posted on January 27, 2016 at 8:00 am With the racing season set to kick into full gear during this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race, Forza fans now have a chance to get their own taste of endurance racing glory with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, available on Thursday, Jan. 28. Leading off the pack of seven cars is last year's 24 Hours of Daytona winner, the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype. The prototype will be fielded in this weekend's race, which begins at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 30 and can be viewed live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S. The Alpinestars Car Pack features six additional cars, each with a unique pedigree all its own. From the 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 – also a competitor in Daytona 24 Hour events of years past – to the inimitable 2005 Pontiac Aztek (famous more for its fictional owner than its performance), this pack has something for every kind of car fan. Forza Motorsport 6 is the only game where players can drive last year's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner on the recently remodeled Daytona International Speedway.
General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. Junkyard Gem: 2010 Pontiac Vibe
Wed, Apr 17 2024Just over a month before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2009, General Motors announced that the 83-year-old Pontiac Division would be "phased out" by the end of 2010. Only three Pontiac vehicles were sold as 2010 models in the United States: the Solstice, Vibe and G6 (new G3s were sold here during 2010 but they were all 2009 models, while the G5 was available as a 2010 model only in Canada and Mexico). Today's bit of junkyard automotive history is one of the very last Vibes ever built, found in a yard near Denver, Colorado. This car is significant not just as one of the final vehicles to bear Pontiac badges but also as one of the last cars built by the New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated GM-Toyota joint venture in California, better known as NUMMI. The NUMMI factory began life as GM's Fremont Assembly, which built its first vehicle (a C-Series pickup) in 1963 and closed in 1982 after building its final vehicle (an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera). Rebooted as NUMMI, the first 1985 Chevrolet Nova (an Americanized AE82 Toyota Corolla Sprinter) rolled off the line in December of 1984. A quarter-century and better than eight million vehicles hence, NUMMI shut down production after its last Corolla was finished on April 1, 2010. While there was some noise about the Oakland Athletics building a new stadium on the site at the time, Tesla ended up buying most of the site soon after that. Tesla now builds more vehicles per year there than NUMMI ever did. The Vibe was co-developed with Toyota and based on the same platform as the ninth-generation Corolla. The Toyota Matrix was mechanically identical and was built in Canada, while the Japanese-market version (known as the Toyota Voltz) was built on the same NUMMI line as the Vibe and shipped across the Pacific. The Vibe/Matrix/Voltz got a redesign for the 2009 model year, but few noticed due to all the turmoil in the GM world at the time. The final Vibe was built in August 2009. This car was built in July of 2009, just before the end. It was living in West Texas just prior to coming to Colorado. El Paso is about a ten-hour drive from this car's current location. Once in the Centennial State, it got parked somewhere it shouldn't have been and ended up being auctioned to Pick Your Part. An occupant of this Vibe had time to sample some of the local agricultural products before that happened.
