Rust Free

Selling at NO RESERVE!!

Rust Free car from Arkansas that has been in storage for over 10 years. There is no rust anywhere and never has had any.

Here is your chance to own a great muscle car that you can drive as is, or turn it into a Bandit car! The car only has 69,380 original miles and it drives perfectly down the road at any speed! I just took it on a 400 mile trip and got over 20 mpg at 75mph.

The vehicle looks great and has only minor chips in the paint, but no dents. It shines very nicely.

The 6.6Litre 400 Big Block engine runs perfect, and has plenty of power. There are no knocks or engine noise, and it does not smoke when you start or drive it. The dual exhaust has no leaks and sounds great!

With only 69,400 miles, the interior looks great with only minor defects. The carpet, seats, door panels, dash and headliner are in good original condition and the seat belts are all in working order. Here's a bonus, the clock still works!

The glass is all good and the windows roll up and down as if the car was new. You will see in the videos that the Hood, Trunk and Doors all open and shut perfectly.

The headlights, tail lights and turn signals work.

The 225/70R15 Uniroyal Raised White Letter tires are in very good shape, and the car drives perfectly. The  Pontiac aluminum wheels are in great shape.

We have taken a lot of closeup pictures because there is nothing to hide. The car will drive anywhere without worry, so feel free to fly in, and drive it home. If you choose to have it shipped, we can get you a great quote as we have shipped cars all over the world.

We are located 20 miles south of Lincoln Nebraska and 60 miles southwest of Omaha. Feel free to come look and drive it before you bid, or have it inspected before you bid.

Why Pontiac should come back and how it can be relevant again

Mon, Apr 17 2017

When I was a kid growing up in Metro Detroit, our family was always entwined in the General Motors empire. My dad and some of our relatives worked for GM in various capacities, and we had our fair share of Chevrolet, GMC, and even Buick products in our humble driveway. However, it was my Uncle Ed that always had a vehicle from the one GM brand that always appealed to me the most: Pontiac. Seeing him pull up in his Pontiac 6000 and later the '90s era Grand Prix sedan that replaced it was always an exciting occasion, and both of these models also reflected the playful spirit that once defined the Pontiac brand. Back when Pontiac first got its performance groove on in the '60s, names such as GTO, Firebird, as well as Bonneville became iconic nameplates in the broader muscle car era. The '80s saw Pontiac lose some of its styling heritage, but also try new things at the same time including turbocharging as well as the mid-engine sports car with the flawed but still sleek Pontiac Fiero. When the Pontiac brand was shuttered in 2009, it was a mere few years after I earned my drivers license, and also when Pontiac was just beginning to regain some of its lost luster. Granted cookie cutter efforts like the Pontiac G3, (Chevrolet Aveo) G5, (Chevrolet Cobalt) and G6 (Chevrolet Malibu) certainly did not help matters during Pontiac's final years on the market, but two models in particular offered a compelling glimpse into what could've been for the storied brand. The first was the Pontiac Solstice roadster/coupe. Originally introduced as a concept back in 2004, and championed by everyone's fighter jet flying auto executive Bob Lutz, the Solstice was designed to be a serious competitor to the Mazda Miata, and while its interior ergonomics were flawed and the top solution not ideal. It proved to be a fun little car to drive, and also a sales success for Pontiac with initial demand exceeding expectations. This was especially due to its lineup of engines with the 2.0 liter LHU turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 260 horsepower in GXP variants. The second and (inarguably my favorite Pontiac model) was the Pontiac G8 sedan. Originating in Australia as the Holden Commodore VE, the G8 was designed to rectify the multitude of sins created by the last generation Bonneville. Front wheel drive was pitched in favor of rear wheel drive, and for the first time in a long time interior ergonomics and cladding free exterior styling were key building blocks for success.

Junkyard Gem: 2001 Pontiac Aztek

Tue, Jul 11 2017

Ah, the Pontiac Aztek. Everyone laughs at the Aztek ... except, apparently, for Coloradans who like to go camping, bike riding, hiking, and all that outdoorsy stuff that folks do in the Centennial State. You'll see Azteks being driven, unironically and without shame, all over the place in the Denver region, and now plenty of them are showing up in the local wrecking yards. Here's a first-year-of-production example in its final campground. These minivans or crossovers (or however the experts finally decided to categorize them) had built-in air compressors, audio controls in the rear cargo area, and other features meant to enhance tailgating, camping, and other activities deemed central to Generation X's allegedly active lifestyle. You could even get an optional camping kit with a tent that attached to the rear of the Aztek. So, it was a General Motors minivan-like vehicle, cousin of the weird-looking Dustbusters of the 1990s, with lots of useful features for those who did more than just commute to work and drop off kids at school. Unfortunately for GM, the Aztek was staggeringly ugly, and Generation Xers were too damned broke to buy new cars in 2001, anyway. I see plenty of them in Denver-area wrecking yards now, along with their slightly-less-offensive-looking Buick Rendezvous siblings, and so I decided to document one before they're all gone.
