Hello

I am selling my 1974 Trans Am 400, M20 four speed, 3.42 Safety T Track Posi  with only 77000 miles on it. It is a beautiful example that has had only two owners. Both of which loved the car and treated it as such. The original owner had it up until 2003. He purchased it out of John Rudd Pontiac in New York, paying only 4498.00 for it. At some point the car went under full restoration (I believe in early 2000). He kept the bill of sale, window sticker, build sheets, and PHS documentation to say the least. It is one of the best documented cars that I have. The car was then  purchased from the second owner. Right after he bought the car, he sent it to be judged Nationally in Hagerstown MD in 2004. There it won its National Juniors award as a high point car (I have all docs including tag, registry, etc).

Not long after, he got the itch to go faster, and out came the 400, and in went a SD455. The 400 was stored in a heated garage with all its accessories still on it. The rear of the car (though not rusted), underwent major heavy duty frame rail work to handle the modified 455. The rails are completely correct and original looking, however the grade of steel (thickness etc. is heavier duty than stock). The price tag was 8000.00 dollars for the install. Again completely stock with no frame connectors etc. Wasn't even going to mention it, however it gives everyone an idea of how the car was cared for through its life. The car remained like this until I purchased the car in 2012.

The first thing I did was repaint the hood and nose. the blend is near perfect. The TA is a bird delete ordered car. I opted to put the bird on it. If the buyer does not like it, I will remove it. I then block sanded the car. The paint came out beautiful with the base and clear in absolutely excellent shape after all these years. The car is super straight with very little orange peel, and looks like it was just painted. No rust, dings, or dents.  Next came the engine. Out came the 455, and in went the 400. A full engine detail took place including the firewall, inner fenders, engine block, full carb refurb with correct plating, ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, booster, master cylinder, and brake lines. The block was repainted correct baby blue. Correct GM hoses were also used. The Pontiac rally's were then taken off, and fully reconditioned Honeycombs went on it. The price tag was 2000.00 dollars with tires. The correct exhaust was also installed (single muffler with two tails).

The car runs, drives and looks fantastic. The pictures tell no lies. I consider this a very correct car, right down to the carburetor and distributor. Yes, she's all original and numbers matching. Again the bird is not correct, the interior as far as seating is now white (have the original seat covers in excellent shape that are black), and the AM radio from what I was told was replaced at the dealer for an AM/FM delco unit. You will hard pressed to find another this nice with such good pedigree. It is not a show car, as I believe that they are fresh frame offs that rarely see the light of day. This I would say is a very nice #2 car, that was done right the first time. It shows, through the body, paint, interior, and drivetrain. Everything works except the clock. I will give one with the car.

I can be reached at 302-229-0844. You may see the car by appointment. Good luck bidding.

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem

Thu, Feb 13 2014

General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. New Forza 6 car pack will let you race the Pontiac Aztek

Fri, Jan 29 2016

Just in time for this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, the new Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 on the Xbox One lets you slip into the driver's seat of last year's winner. If you want to take something much weirder for a spin, the collection also includes a 2005 Pontiac Aztek. The download is available now for $6.99. The Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona was in a four-car battle early in last year's race, but it eventually was victorious. Forza Motorsport 6 also challenges drivers who download the car to a new Rivals event around Daytona, and the fastest people could win Alpinestars prizes. If you're nostalgic for a classic Daytona racecar, this pack includes Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7. The V8-powered beast won the IMSA GTO class in the 24-hour event in 1990. It should be fun around the game's longer road courses like Road Atlanta. This collection also has an eclectic mix of vehicles that aren't racecars. The controversial Aztek and the equally-controversial 1996 Subaru SVX take their places beside a lineup that offers drivers three eras of performance cars – a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5, and 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde. The video below shows all of them in action. Race to the Finish Line with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 By Xbox Wire Staff posted on January 27, 2016 at 8:00 am With the racing season set to kick into full gear during this weekend's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race, Forza fans now have a chance to get their own taste of endurance racing glory with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, available on Thursday, Jan. 28. Leading off the pack of seven cars is last year's 24 Hours of Daytona winner, the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype. The prototype will be fielded in this weekend's race, which begins at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 30 and can be viewed live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S. The Alpinestars Car Pack features six additional cars, each with a unique pedigree all its own. From the 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 – also a competitor in Daytona 24 Hour events of years past – to the inimitable 2005 Pontiac Aztek (famous more for its fictional owner than its performance), this pack has something for every kind of car fan. Forza Motorsport 6 is the only game where players can drive last year's Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner on the recently remodeled Daytona International Speedway.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge vs. 2006 GTO, which Goat gets your vote?

Mon, 08 Sep 2014

The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
