Hello Ebayers!  I have a beautiful, fully equipped, low mileage, Pontiac Fiero SE for sale.  Please email me with any questions.

Vehicle:

1985 Pontiac Fiero SE; 2.8L V6 Engine; Manual 4 speed.  White with gray/black Interior and pop-up removable sunroof.  78,920 Original Miles.  100% Rust Free California Fiero.  Runs and drives excellent.

Equipped With:

Power windows, door locks, mirrors and cruise control all work properly.  Seats are in very good condition; the seats have had sheepskin seat covers since the car was new; replaced gray sheepskin seat covers in 2011.  Tinted windows all around.  Viper alarm system with keyless entry and remote rear deck opener.  Air conditioning blows ice cold; was converted from R12 to R134a in May 2011.  Tires and rims are approximately 2-1/2 years old (I have original rims if you want them).  No dash cracks.  New clutch, rear brakes, EGR valve, EGR tube, shift cables and battery replaced in 2013.  Aftermarket stereo system with CD, USB and Ipod connection.

The body and interior are in EXCELLENT condition.  The car has been in our family, here in California,  since 1988 and has always been well cared for and maintained.  The car has been garaged most of its life.  It’s a great car for any Fiero enthusiast.  Passed California Emission Testing (smog test) in April 2013 and can be driven anywhere in the U.S. without hesitation.

Known Issues:

1.  Emergency parking brake lever is worn.  Fierostore.com has a replacement for $65.00.

2.  Sunroof gasket needs to be replaced; the sunroof leaks when going through a carwash.  Fierostore.com has a replacement for $79.95.

3.  Headlight doors work, but occasionally they will not pop open when the headlights are switched on.  You need to turn the manual knobs a few times in the hood compartment and then the lights will pop open. Rebuilt/remanufactured headlight motors at:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1986-Fiero-Headlight-Motor-Rebuild-Service-GT-SE-/151187206017?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1985%7CMake%3APontiac%7CModel%3AFiero%7CSubmodel%3ASE&hash=item233375af81&vxp=mtr for $75.00 each.

Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."

Motorweek looks back at the Pontiac Aztek

Thu, Jul 9 2015

The Pontiac Aztek has earned a position as this generation's ultimate, automotive punchline. Even other execrable models like the Yugo or Mustang II probably get more respect these days just out of their sheer quirkiness, but the Aztek remains a joke. Fortify your mind for what's coming, though, because the much-maligned Pontiac might not be quite so atrocious, at least according to MotorWeek's latest Retro Review video. MotorWeek calls the Aztek, "GM's first true crossover vehicle," and it's amazing to think of the hated model as a progenitor of one of the most popular segments today. While admitting that the looks are polarizing, John Davis and company actually come away pleased with the Aztek's utility. They praise that there's a ton of room in the back, and the interior is packed with useful features like a removable cooler in the center console and radio controls in a cargo area. The show is even impressed with how the Pontiac drives and throws around accolades like "nimble" and "pleasant." After seeing the Aztek leading the pack on lists of the worst vehicles of all time for years, listening to it get such effusive praise is actually quite jarring. Could we all be so wrong? No, there's absolutely no debate that this is still a hideous automobile. However, MotorWeek asserts a complete reversal of the generally perceived wisdom about the early CUV. While unexpected, thinking about such an abhorred model in a different way is a cool experience. Check out the video for a different take on the Aztek.

Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way

Tue, 21 Feb 2012

There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
