'64 Pontiac Catalina Ventura Sedan. 389 3speed automatic, with
53,700 original miles titled at 53,409 actual miles (I've put roughly 300 miles on it since I bought it). As far as I know car is all original except for the gas tank, alternator, battery, and tires. Car runs very well, drove it 100mi. on
the freeway at 70mph a few days ago with no issues. Ventura interior in fantastic
original condition except some slight pitting in the dash paint, and the rear deck covering and the top of the rear
seat by the rear deck. is e A portion of the driverside floor trim is broken and missing. Some surface rust on just about every panel, I'd call it fine patina, and a
bit of rust through on the front fenders and a small portion of the
inside of the trunk on either side, inner portion of trunk is solid.
Frame is solid. Doorjams solid. Can literally close all doors with a
slight press of your fingertip! Floorpans are solid as well as 80% of the trunkpan. The original trunk mat and cardboard paneling is even present. All glass is good. Everything works from the original radio
to the heater, only the gas gauge has an issue with the contacts on the back of the gauge itself. Muffler has no exit pipe.
Original weathered paint, bumpers and trim in decent condition, some pitting and chipping in the chrome is present. A bit of
body work, a paint job, and a few routine things here and there will
make this Catalina a showpiece. I get thumbs up and inquires from random people everytime I drive it. Located in Columbus, Ohio, buyer is
responsible for transport. Clear Ohio title in hand.
Comes with original floorjack, owners manual, and hubcaps which are
pristine. 614-316-7983 call/text anytime with inquiries. Please review all 24 pictures included in this auction. Sold as-is. Car is 50 years old in original condition and should be treated as such. Driving the vehicle in it's current condition any distance would be at your own risk under the circumstances. Prefer a cash sale. I appreciate your interest.

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys
Mon, 10 Jun 2013According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
Baseball team to dress like Trans Am, complete with screaming chicken
Fri, Feb 8 2019Come to think of it, the Screaming Chicken actually sounds like the name of a minor league baseball team. Well, it isn't, but the famous logo of the same name that graced the hood of the 1970s Pontiac Trans Am will at least be making it to a baseball uniform this summer. The Lansing Lugnuts, a Single-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will be rocking these special uniforms to honor the late Burt Reynolds and his film Smokey and the Bandit. By default, it will also be honoring the car the movie made famous: the 1977 Trans Am painted black with gold trim and, of course, the screaming chicken on the hood. This is a pretty good history of the emblem. So why the Lugnuts and Burt Reynolds? Although he claimed to be born in Georgia for much of his career, he admitted in a 2015 autobiography that he was in fact born in Lansing, Mich. After a few years, his family settled in Florida. Not exactly hometown hero stuff, but minor league baseball promotions have been made of more tenuous connections. The Burt Reynolds tribute night will be July 20, and if you want to get a screaming chicken jersey for yourself (I mean, wouldn't they be perfect for a cars and coffee?), the game-used jerseys will be auctioned off for charity after the game.
