Selling my attention-getting 1966 Plymouth Satellite Belvedere II.  This is a pro-touring car proven very dependable and comfortable on long drives like Power Tour and NSRA street rod events in Springfield, MO. with no problems at all.  Plenty of power is on tap with a fresh 440 engine up front!  The power steering is very light and predictable, upgrade to disc brakes in front enable you to stop almost on a dime!  Factory bench seat is very comfortable, 727 automatic transmission with mild shift kit is very precise.  The new Classic Air components and Sanden compressor provide cool A/C.  Being a touring car the gearing in back is around 2:84 for highway use not stop light to stop light.   A quick summary follows:

     --  Fresh 440 CI/ 385+ HP V-8 engine

--  Built 727 automatic transmission with mild shift kit

I am sure that there are other upgrades that were performed but not included in this description.  I have a receipt folder and building photos that document the work history that has gone into this beautiful car.  I have enjoyed driving this sharp Plymouth big block pro-touring car for the last couple of years but as a car enthusiast I am always looking for something different so sadly this one has to go.   Willing to consider another pro-touring , early C1 or C2 vette, 61 Impala, 55 Chevy or 56 Ford Vicky as partial trade.  Let me know what you have of interest.  No projects please,  I have a few of those already!  Also;  I am very confident that you will like this 66' Plymouth that the winning bidders deposit will be refunded (in person/on site)  if your not satisfied during your pickup/personal inspection of my vehicle is as described above.   That is how much confidence I have in my personal vehicle!  You will not see that type of refund offered on any other vehicles offered on E-bay!  As they say:  Bid with confidence!  Bob M. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
