1966 Plymouth Hemi Satellite Convertible - Real Car! One of 27 Made... This is a bucket seat, console automatic HEMI Satellite Convertible
I've tried to include all the details for this car here but if you want anything else, just contact me. It's is a
project car. I'm a private collector and have had it for years so it's been out of the Hemi crazed spotlight. The paint and bodywork is basically
complete and very straight. Anyone that
has worked on these old straight sided big cars knows how hard it is to get the lines right. The engine was rebuilt before I bought it and is complete except for
carburetors. I had a distributor but can't find it so assume it's not included. The underbody and chassis
have been worked on but not been pristinely restored like some are today it is very presentable as shown in the photos. There is no rust in the floor pans or trunk. All the seats have been recovered with original
materials. This car was exported to
Sweden years ago and imported back to the USA in the late 90’s but I have no history as to how it got there nor how long it was. It does have a speedometer
which is calibrated 0 to 200 KM/HR and I have the European plates that were on
it when I bought it. Note that I can't verify the mileage but the 34673 on the odometer is KM not Miles. It’s a project that
I would love to finish but I have better use for the shop space and money right
now plus more project cars behind this one. If you have any questions at all, call John at 214-769-6588, text or message me here. It's a real deal car and needs a good home. I apologize for the poor quality photos. Note that one of the pics here is of the Chrysler Manifest documentation which verified its lineage from the factory. It shows where it was originally sold to and so on, on the same photo is a breakdown for the data plate. Another photo shows the Data Plate itself, Vin Tag and the frame stamping number that connects the car together for authenticity. Like I said, if I missed any information, let me know.
The following
components are included with the car:
426 Hemi Engine complete except for carbs
Exhaust manifolds
Air Filter housing
Seats, front and rear, recovered
Door Panels – recovered
New Carpeting - uninstalled
Console, shifter
Original wiring harnesses
Bumpers and brackets
Convertible top mechanism – appears to be complete with
cylinders and so on. Needs restoration
Power Brake Booster
Most if not all of the body trim Boxes of miscellaneous parts
The following Items
are known Missing or Damaged Beyond Use:
Windshield
Carburetors
Automatic Transmission
Rear interior seat side panels
Miscellaneous: This car is sold as is where is with no guarantys or warranties real, implied or otherwise. Although I will answer any questions posed, the buyer is responsible for their own interpretation of the condition of the car prior to bidding or purchase. I will make it available for buyer inspections at any reasonable time. Also note that upon purchase of this vehicle (successful final bid on EBAY), it will be yours and as such I am not responsible for any losses or damage from that time forward. I will assist in shipping in any manner practical. I will not prepay shipping nor will I arrange for shipping. The car is in a safe and secure place that is easily accessible by commercial truck so pickup by any carrier will be no problem. All the parts will be boxed or wrapped prior to pickup. Everything will not likely fit in the car proper so notify your shipper to insure they understand there will be loose parts. If special issues are required (storage beyond a week, international paperwork, special crating, what ever), it is not included unless agreed upon in writing and must be negotiated prior to auction end (EBAY messaging OK). I'm very serious about the payment terms. If you can't arrange for the initial deposit within 24 hours final payment within 3 days, please save us both the time and trouble. I will accept a check but it needs to be verifiable in Fort Worth, TX within the allotted time so it should be drawn on one of the major banks I'm really an easy going guy but experience over the years has made me cautious therefore the statements and requirements herin. The seller reserves the right to end this auction at any time for any reason. The car is also for sale locally.

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
