OK MOPAR FANS UP FOR AUCTION HERE IS A REAL HEAD TURNER! A VERY NICE 1973 ROADRUNNER CLONE. I AM LISTING THIS FOR A FRIEND OF MINE SO PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS NECESSARY AND WILL GET BACK TO YOU, USUALLY WITHIN ABOUT 10 HOURS. YOU CAN ALSO TEXT ME QUESTIONS AT 814-341-4644. THAT WILL GET YOU A QUICKER ANSWER. PLEASE DO NOT CALL BECAUSE I CAN'T ANSWER AT WORK MOST OF THE TIME AND I USUALLY DO NOT ANSWER UNKNOWN NUMBERS.

FIRST OF ALL LET ME SAY I AM FAR FROM A CAR SALESMAN. THAT BEING SAID I CALL IT AS IT IS AND NO B.S. I HAVE SOLD NUMEROUS CARS, TRUCKS, ATV'S, ATC'S, MOTORCYCLES, DIRT BIKES.

JUST TO CLEAR UP SOME CONFUSION TO START OFF, THIS CAR WAS REPAINTED AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS GOING TO PUT A 383 BIG BOX IN IT, WHICH IS WHY THE STRIPES ON THE HOOD CLEARLY SAY 383.  MY FRIEND WHO PURCHASED THE CAR KNEW THAT IT WOULD KILL THE VALUE REMOVING THE ORIGINAL MOTOR, WHICH IS A 318 C.I.D. SO HE LEFT REMAIN.  SO IT DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL 318 WITH AROUND 67,000 ORIGINAL MILES.  THIS CAR WAS HIS WIFE'S AND WAS DRIVEN VERY LITTLE (UNDER 250 MILES) THE PAST 6 YEARS, JUST AROUND TOWN, WHICH IS THE REASON FOR HIM SELLING IT, TO BUY SOMETHING SHE CAN USE FOR DAILY DRIVING.

THIS CAR DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL AUTOMATIC TRANNY.  THIS 73 ROADRUNNER IS A RARE FACTORY AIR CONDITION EQUIPPED CAR.  HOWEVER, IT IS NOT HOOKED UP, BUT ALL PARTS ARE INCLUDED EXCEPT THE CONDENSOR, WHICH IS MINIMAL COST TO ACQUIRE IF DESIRED.

THE CAR DOES HAVE AN OPEN DIFFERENTIAL IN THE REAR, BUT THE GEARS ARE UNKNOWN.

THE CAR HAS NEW BRAKES ON ALL 4 CORNERS AND THE TIRES ARE 60 SERIES TIRES, FRONT AND REAR, AT LEAST 95% TREAD AND SHOW NO WEAR OR DRYROT.  BRAND NEW FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS, WHICH WERE CLOSE TO $1000.  THE CAR DOES HAVE CURRENT PENNSYLVANIA INSPECTION AND OWNER DOES HAVE CLEAR TITLE IN HAND.  THIS CAR, IN MY OPINION, IS A SOLID 8.5 TO 9 OUT OF 10 AS FAR AS MECHANICAL AND PAINT CONDITION.  THE WORST BLEMISH IS SHOWN ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, WHERE I AM HOLDING A DIME TO SHOW A SMALL CHIP OUT OF THE PAINT.  AS FAR AS THE INTERIOR GOES,  I WOULD SAY THE INTERIOR IS A TRUE 8 OUT OF 10, BUT TO MAKE PERFECT, THE DASH PANEL NEEDS REPLACED, BUT HAS A NICE COVER OVER IT SO IT IS NOT AN EYESORE NOW, AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES.

THIS IS A TOTALLY RUST FREE, ORIGINAL ROADRUNNER.

THE ONLY THING THIS CAR NEEDS IS THE FUEL SENDING UNIT, WHICH THE OWNER DOES HAVE INCLUDED TO INSTALL.

ALSO, THE CAR IS TUCKED AWAY IN THE GARAGE AND IT IS AMONGST HIS COLLECTION AND I COULD NOT GET ANY PICTURES OF THE PASSENGER SIDE, BUT THE OWNER GUARANTEED ME IT IS COMPLETELY 100% FLAWLESS AND THAT CHIP THAT I SHOWED IS THE WORST OF THE PAINT.

I ENCOURAGE ANYBODY THAT IS INTERESTED IN PERSONALLY VIEWING THE CAR AND POSSIBLY DRIVING (WEATHER DEPENDING), WE CAN SET UP A TIME TO VIEW IT IN PERSON.  THE OWNER ACTUALLY HAS A CAR LIFT IN HIS GARAGE THAT HE WILL LIFT THE CAR UP AND YOU CAN TRULY INSPECT 100% OF THIS VEHICLE BEFORE YOU BID OR BUY, ETC.

MY FRIEND IS A DIEHARD MOPAR COLLECTOR AND HE IS SELLING ONE OTHER ONE FROM HIS COLLECTION IF YOU WOULD CARE TO VIEW ANOTHER AUCTION FOR A '67 DODGE CHARGER.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS CAR, I AM SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT AS FAR AS A TRUE SURVIVOR.

I AM OPENING THIS AUCTION UP TO WORLDWIDE SALES, BUT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SET UP ALL SHIPPING UP AND COSTS.  I HAVE ACTUALLY TRAILERED QUITE A FEW CARS FOR PEOPLE BUT I HAVE LEARNED IT IS CHEAPER TO GO THROUGH AN INSURED CAR COMPANY FOR A CAR WORTH AS MUCH AS THIS ONE, THAT IS BASICALLY IRREPLACABLE.

PLEASE NO TIRE KICKERS.  I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS, BUT WILL MOST LIKELY PUT YOU IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE OWNER IF YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED.

THE RESERVE ON THIS CAR IS SET VERY LOW AND AT A GREAT BARGAIN, SO PLEASE DO NOT MISS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THESE CARS FOR SOME TIME AND HAVE SEEN CARS VERY SIMILAR IN MUCH WORSE CONDITION GO FOR MORE MONEY THAN THIS RESERVE IS SET AT. HAPPY BIDDING! THANK YOU FOR VIEWING!

EBAY ONLY LETS YOU LIST 24 PICTURES, BUT I HAVE POSTED A TON MORE PICTURES FOR VIEWING IF YOU CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING PHOTOBUCKET LINK: http://s1074.beta.photobucket.com/user/jklucik/library/73roadrunner

I HAVE SOLD NUMEROUS CARS, TRUCKS, ATV'S, ATC'S, MOTORCYCLES, DIRT BIKES.  PLEASE VIEW MY 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK THAT I WORKED HARD FOR. I DO NOT INTEND JEOPARDIZING THAT ANY TIME SOON, WHICH MEANS ALL MY ADS ARE AS TRUTHFUL AS CAN BE.

THIS IS A RUST FREE, NUMBERS MATCHING, ORIGINAL CONDITION CAR.

IF I HAD THE MONEY AND WASN'T EXPECTING ANOTHER CHILD, I WOULD DEFINITELY BE OWNING THIS CAR MYSELF AND IT WOULD NOT EVEN BE FOR SALE. I WOULD BUY IT IN A HEARTBEAT!

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
