Up for auction is a beautiful 69 Plymouth Roadrunner. It is a REAL RM21 Roadrunner NOT a clone. This is a true muscle car and there aren't many of these left out there. This car was built to be driven and taken to the occasional local show. It is a nice car, but it is not a perfect trailer queen. It has the original 69 383 HP motor. The motor was bored .030 and put back to stock specs. It has an 833 4 speed trans with brand new flywheel and clutch. The rear end is an 8 3/4 with 3.91 gears. All the brakes are new and all the brake lines are new correct reproductions from inline tube. It has new shocks all the way around with air shocks out back. It has factory mopar 15x7 steel wheels and BFG radials with 275s out back to give it that A12 muscle look. It comes with dog dish caps as well. The body is nice and straight and is rust free. It was painted the correct vitamin C orange in PPG base/clear and has a beautiful shine. I would say the paint is an 8 out of 10, with 10 being perfect. All the weatherstripping is new and the windshield is new. The interior is nice and is mostly new. It has new carpet, new seat upholstery, new headliner, and new dash pad. It also has a factory tach, which was a rare option. If you've been looking for a nice roadrunner or mopar to take out to the cruises, here is your chance! Don't miss out! There will be a $1000 deposit due via paypal within 24 hrs of auction end. Thanks

I ALSO HAVE THE TRUNK MAT, JACK, AND SPARE. I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PUT THEM IN FOR THE PICS. ANY QUESTIONS, CALL 608-295-8382. THANKS

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
