Up for sale is this 1971 Plymouth Satellite GTX conversion with potential to be a roadrunner clone. It is a sharp looking and well done DRIVER as can be seen in pictures.

It has a 318ci engine and automatic transmission. As far as the previous owner knows, the engine and transmission are stock and it is a matching numbers car. Previous owner did restoration 8 years ago and he kept the same engine and transmission. Since the drive train was not replaced at time of restoration it makes us believe that it is the original engine and transmission. It was the premium price class at the time of assembly, with extra options like the floor shifter and center console (rare to find)

The car is in excellent mechanical condition. It has discs brakes in the front which was also an extra option from factory. The engine bay is clean and well done. I get complements of it all the time. It starts without the need of cold start choke and transmission is smooth. Suspension is solid as well as steering. Our mechanic said that the drive shaft might need to be balanced in the near future as it produces a vibration over 70mph. This however does not affect the drive ability of the car at all, specially under mentioned speed.

It is a turn key and go car!

The car sounds great accelerating down the road but it is not so loud at idle which make it a great driver. (SEE 2 VIDEOS)

Body looks sharp and gets plenty of attention when driving. I took plenty of detailed pictures. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES AND VIDEOS. It has wider tires for the back. Also, headlamps have been upgraded. I have an extra set of aftermarket blue headlamps in the trunk as well as factory. All glass is intact and all 4 windows roll up and down accordingly. It has the factory spare wheel in the trunk. The trunk is also painted flat black to match the engine compartment.

Like I stated, this car was restored 8 years ago and as such there are imperfections, which I pointed out on pictures. These imperfections are not noticeable from a distance so I took close up pictures. There is bubbling of clear coat in left fender, scratch on right mirror, rust beginning in lower part of rear window, scratches on rear wing. There are 2 minor paint chips that turned into rust on edge where door meets fender (size of dime and less). one rust spot in the lowest part of right side wheel well. The chrome pieces show sun wear as well but NO rust. This summarizes its defects and I took pictures of everything.

Again these are all hardly noticeable from far. It is indeed a nice clean driver. Paint is in great shape. The stripes are painted, NOT vinyl.

The undercarriage is solid. all suspension and steering parts are free of major rust. The exhaust is also healthy. Floor and trunk pans look good as well. It has minor rust spots that I took pictures of.

Interiors are also in good condition. It has an upgraded steering wheel as well as sound system with two speakers in trunk. The back seats are spotless!. The front seats are all in good shape and have no rips. The inside door panels are also good. The gas gauge only works at times and the tachometer does not work. All lights and wipers work, including high beams. The previous owner added an oil pressure gauge on the center console. The upholstery is clean as well. Headliner has a hole the size of a nickle but it is in excellent shape.

I have described this car entirely to the best of my knowledge. I encourage potential buyers to see ALL PICTURES AND VIDEOS as they are more informative than what I can describe with words. I took several pictures so buyer can see the car from different points of view and different lighting.

I am confident as of the good drive ability of the car and good condition. It is a nice, clean driver.

Note: Please note that this is an antique and a toy and should be looked as such. It is in good but not perfect condition. Call me at (845)591-9481 with any questions you may have. It is my job to sell this car without any misunderstandings

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.
