Meet FURIOUS a 68 Plymouth Fury III that is dripping with COOL! someone is going to get one heck of a deal here. This is a neat ride that is selling for CHEAP MONEY this would make a great entry level car for some Rocabilly Rebel or a great calling card parked out front of your tattoo shop, it stops them dead in it's tracks. This car was a nice stock 383 powered Fury III then we gave it some ATTITUDE. The body is finished in Blitz Black and the car has been covered from headlight to taillight in Caramel Gold "Watson" style flames. The flames have been painted to look worn and distressed and hand pinstriped with a Blood red outline. The interior has new custom tuck and roll style seat upholstrey with red piping and the rug is new as well. The floors were rock solid when we changed the rug.  Under the hood is a good running 383 thet just had new plugs, wires, dist cap, points, rotor, valve covers and gaskets, air filter, recent edelbrock carb and battery. It had recent dual exhaust with mellow sounding glasspacks out to the rear bumper. Fresh Oil Change and trans fluid and filter, just had the fluid and filter changed due to a leaking pan gasket. It runs good, shifts good and stops good. the car has new upper and lower ball joints, a couple of tie rod ends and the rubber brake hoses have been changed as well. It still need an alignment to be performed. I just installed four brand new uniroyal tiger paw whitewall radials all around and new spider caps on the factory steel rims. The trunk houses the spare tire and original jack. There were a few rust areas repaired in the trunk but overall it is solid. This was a factory undercoated car so everything underneath looks good still. As I said earlier this is a great deal that has a sharp look even sitting still. But it is not a Barret Jackson showcar so don't expect one for the price. It is Nicer than a Typical Rat Rod no street sign floorboards or license plate doorpanels but once again it is NOT a show car. Please ask ALL questions BEFORE bidding and be sure to read my terms of the auction below if you can not agree to them don't bid. Thank you for looking and God Bless America INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME!

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
