I have owned this car for about 3 years. It was an impulse buy or a mid-life crisis, still not sure. Anyway,in the 3 years I have owned it I have put less than 500 miles on it and it has been garage kept everyday of those 3 years. The following is exactly the description that was listed when I bought it. 1974 PLYMOUTH DUSTER - 1970 340 CI. W/4BBL -- 727 TORQUE FLIGHT WITH MANUAL REVERSE PATTERN VALVE BODY --8.75 REAR END WITH POSI(not sure of ratio at least 4.11) -- DUAL EXHAUST WITH DR. X PIPE AND FLOWMASTERS -- NEW BC/CC PLUM CRAZY PURPLE PAINT -- NEW STRIPE KIT -- SOLID BODY,FLOORS AND FRAME RAILS -- BLACK SNAKE SKIN TOP -- NEW FRONT SEAT COVERS -REST OF INTERIOR IS VERY DECENT -- DASH MOUNTED TACH WITH SHIFT LIGHT -- POWER STEERING -- DISC BRAKES -FRONT&REAR SWAY BARS -- TRUNK MOUNTED BATTERY --- VERY NICE FACTORY STYLE RALLY WHEELS -- Since I have owned the car I have had alot done.BRAND NEW RECORE RADIATOR $608 -- BRAND NEW HOLY 670 CARB was lucky to know the manager & paid $314 + $200 FOR INSTALL -- NEW SHOCKS- ALL NEW FRONT END,GEAR BOX,UPPER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS,UPPER7LOWER BALL JOINTS,IDLER ARM,UNIVERSAL JOINT,INNER&OUTER TIE ROD ENDS -- PLUS A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF. THAT DAY WAS $2350 ! --2 NEW FRONT TIRES & ALIGNMENT-- TOTAL BRAKE JOB,WHEEL CYLINDERS,ROTORS ETC. THAT WAS $ 592 - PUT NEW DASH PAD ALSO --I HAVE ALL RECEIPTS TO PROVE ALL THE WORK. Car runs very strong. I try to take it down to the corner deli at least once a month. So when I start it, it smokes just a little then goes away. I'm assuming from sitting or maybe a leaky valve? certainly nothing I'm worried about. When I bought it the guy said it had around 15000 miles on a rebuilt engine. I'm not so sure about that, but thats what HE said. For those not familiar ,the reverse manual valve body is pretty much an automatic that you shift manually.I've also bought the fancy Duster floor mats , new rocker moldings.,can't remember all the little things! All lights and blinkers work, gas gauge reads full when you fill it but after 20 miles could read quarter tank? speedo reads 90 when your going about 50, so both those will need attention. No rust, very clean trunk and underside. I'm told it's spent it's whole life in the Carolinas! It has some little cosmetic issues, rattles here &there -- inside door handle rests need correct screws to hold them tight. I'm not a car dealer and have not sold a car on here before, antiques is my main thing. But this is my car,not selling for someone else. check my feedback and you will see I always give an excellent description! I can't really think of any thing else. buyer will be required to give $1000 deposit, non refundable within 24 hours of sale. the remainder can be discussed. But not thru paypal with the fees that would cost me! It's buyer's responsibility for picking up car or making arrangements to do so. email any questions! You will get an honest answer. I have just lost interest and want to cut my losses. I know I will never get back what I have in it,but don't want to give it away. compare this american muscle to the big names! Dusters,Novas and the like are the next wave of interest because no one can afford those hemi's or chargers etc.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars
Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014
We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
