Looking to sell my 1969 A56 Cuda with a 340. I am selling it as built in 1976 with an over the counter new 340 block, built with 8 to 1 and a Dyers 671 blower. Paint on car is the paint for 1976 and still show very well, the only rust at that time was fix which was the lower 3" of both rear 1/4's, other then that this is a rust free car. Car was parked in 1978 in the garage until last year 2012 when it was put back in running order as built except for the MSD ignition system and Griffen radiator. The motor and tranny was removed and gone through complete with all new rings, brgs, seals, and total rebuilt blower by Dyers. Tranny is a 727 with a Turbo Action reverse manual valve body and 10 converter. It still has the original Headmen Hustler Headers which have been recoated with the black wrinkle finish, and a complete new exhaust system. a new gas tank , sending unit and all new complete brake system, shoes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Interior is all original except for the new seat covers installed. Dash pad and headliner are mint but carpet is fadded. 1976 added gauges include the 70's Auto Meter Tach and Sun Oil & Temp Gauges form the 70's. This car has not been cut in any for or fashion and can be brought back to original as the car is 1 of only 166 Cuda 340 A56 code cars. The original block and tranny and radiator will also be included with the car along with the fender tag and mint build sheet. i am selling a few of my cars off and depending on which ones sell first i will keep the others. If you want something different here it is, as it always draws a crowd where ever it goes. Here's a chance to own a real time capsal of the 70's.   Please call for any questions as i am sure i am forgetting something to 772-370-2538

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
