This is a Beautiful 1972 Plymouth Barracuda, Low Mileage, Mopar Muscle Car. This sweet old Mopar "Sleeper" is Super Clean inside and out as you can see from the pictures. The odometer shows the Original 26,779 miles. I bought this car a few years back because it was so clean and straight. It was a completely stock Barracuda with the original motor. Since then I have replaced almost everything mechanical with high performance parts and turned it into a true Loud and Fast Street Beast. The 440 Big block was built by Angelocci Racing and was dyno'd at over 600 HP. The engine has 12:1 compression, .509 Hydraulic Cam, Single Plane aluminum Intake, Edelbrock Aluminum Heads, MSD Ignition, TTI Headers, Oversized Aluminum radiator with electric fans, etc. The 727 Torqueflite Automatic Transmission was built by Mancini Racing. The front end has been upgraded to Disc Brakes and Hemi suspension parts. Sub-frame connectors have been added along with new Hemi Springs, Rear Drum brakes and all new Exhaust. The Rear-end was upgraded to a 3:91 Posi-traction. This car is @$#%&*@$ Fast. The car comes with Mopar Ralleyes and Goodyear Eagle ST's. 275/60R15's on the rears and 225/70 R14's on the front. The paint is excellent and I added 440 Hockey Stick decals. It has an aftermarket fiberglass, lift-off hood, but I have the original hood. This car has not been washed or seen Rain since I have owned it. I only wipe it down with a damp rag. The interior is beautiful and just what you would expect for a 26,000 mile car except it does have a cracked Dash as shown in the pictures. This car really is beautiful. Please look at the pictures closely and I encourage you to come and see the car in person. Any questions can be answered by the owner at 734-637-1994. Sorry, but you must have at least 10 positive feedbacks and a Paypal account to bid. Any bids with less will be removed. The winning bidder is required to pay a $500 non refundable deposit to Paypal and contact the seller within 24 hrs of the listing end. Final payment must be in Cash Only. Thanks and Good Luck.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
