As I said earlier ,this is a nice car I hate to sell , but life thru us a different twist . If I did any more with this car I would paint it again ,but probably put the black oem stripes back on it , but it might not be as what you would like . Other than that we do 2 times a year maintainance  checks ,change the oil , it has a small tranny leak as most mopars do , so check and fill if needed .Due for a coolant flush . The car has new tires with mabee 1000 miles on them brakes are good yet redone 4 years ago  , but the paint is starting to fade , and chip .Car was repainted long before I bought it , but I still take the car to shows because how nice it is and how fun it is to drive , and I am usually the only 65 barracuda at most shows around us , no matter wich of our 65 Barracuda"s  we take .

Please contact me for more info if you are truly interested in a very gr8 deal on a car I would not sell ,if I had another choice because this injury I got last winter , this is a steal , but I have to sell 1 of them .

The car is being sold as is ,no warrentee as it is 50 years old now ,but as I said we have had no issues with the car since we have owned it , but selling due to a hip and back injury .  no tire kickers please, serious buyers with Q"s call Jon at 1 608 837 4427- Jon  for any more info needed or post auction payment and shipping arrangements.   A $ 2000.00 non refundable   deposite will have to be made within 72 hours of the closing of the e -bay auction time  buy the winner, cashiers check or pay pal + fees, and remainder paid in full before the car is moved ,or title transferred . Buyer responsable for all shipping fee"s before pick-up  , and I can help with finding shipping if needed or I am close to the Madison Wisc. ,Dane County Airport  to deliver it to you there or pick you up to finalize the paper work here  , and you can proudly road trip home .

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BIDDING  THIS IS 1 YOU WILL WANT TO OWN     The winner is agreeing to a binding contract between You , I ,and E-BAY  .

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
