Excellent Olds Delta 88 Royal

403 Cubic Inches of American attitude!

2 Door white leather interior and vinyl half top.

This car was garaged winters and is in original, untouched, factory condition. A true survivor that still looks and runs great!

The paint is all original and has nicks, scratches, and the usual wear for its age but it still looks good. The photos don't lie! The chrome all the way down to the ball hitch is in excellent shape. All the original trunk pieces and parts are in great shape as well!

Clear title never in an accident!

Runs and drives great. AC is ice cold. All the power options work. The only glitch with this car is the in dash clock which is hit and miss when it comes to keeping accurate time. The white leather seats are in excellent shape. Drivers seat is full power. The carpet has a few spots as shown that should shampoo out. We have not had the time to do it. There are matching GM rubber floor mats for the front that are not shown in the pictures. There is one trim cover piece missing on the drivers side door pull. The trim piece looks like it should be available at most car parts stores. This old girl always starts right up and drives like a dream. She actually floats down the road like classic American iron should! The new Cooper tires have less than 1000 miles on them and everything has been professionally maintained and replaced as necessary. The exhaust was replaced 8 years ago. We would not hesitate to take her on a cross country trip tomorrow! Clean, sound, and ready to roll. Why settle for a green, four door, old lady Olds that are so readily available when you have a chance at a 403, 2-door, leather, low mileage beauty! (We hate to admit it but this was a grandma car but at least this one picked out a two door with attitude rather than a pea green grocery getter!!!)

Because we have been receiving so many questions and requests for more information we decided to relist one last time. We shuffled the warehouse around this year so we could keep this car out a little longer. We lease out space in our warehouse over the winter to offset the cost of heating it! This car needs to be in and up on blocks before the deer hunters bring in their mobile castles. Please let us know if you would like to come and inspect or test drive this beauty. You must have a valid drivers license to test drive and someone from our facility will accompany you. We will NOT allow test drives if there is any salt on the roads.

Payment:

We require $500 down via paypal within 24 hours of the sales end with the balance due in cash at pickup. We want to be perfectly clear that cash is all we will accept at pickup. No cashiers checks, personal checks, bank checks, money transfers, money orders, or any other payment method besides cash will be accepted. We will not make any exceptions no matter what the circumstances so please plan accordingly. The title is clean and clear.

Contact Us:

Because of a few scams offering listings on other sites, financing, and other payment scams we are no longer posting a phone number on the listing. If you would like to speak with us about this car please contact us by asking a question about this listing on ebay. Include your phone number and the best time to contact you and we will return your call. We realize this is a hassle but we got tired of the scammers and other non-listing related calls when we posted our number.

This car is also for sale locally. We reserve the right to end this listing early if a local buyer drivers her home first!

Thank you.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

eBay Find of the Day: 1976 GMC Motorhome is a jolly green giant

Wed, 18 Jun 2014

If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense.
The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride.
The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]

Thu, 09 Oct 2014

The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?
