I will not email
you a figure but we cantalk about it.
It's an Auction! That means . . .
it's your
number that counts . . . not mine.
Also, if yours is among the hundreds of emails I get with
any of the above lame questions, I will immediately
assume that you(r):
•
have not
taken time to read the listing
•
have
zero intent to purchase
• are
clueless about relevant market values
• forthcoming "offer" will be completely detached from
reality
26
years in the business has proven beyond all doubt that serious buyers
read every line, look at every picture, research well
enough on their own and feel confident making a real
offer. 99% of the time, I accept those offers
without haggle. Try me.
Our presentations are unequalled, on eBay or anywhere
else.
We are therefore, usually able to choose from among
quality buyers that actually wantto
purchaseavehicle.
THE ONLY WAY TO WORK YOUR DEAL IS TO CALL ME!
My
vehicles are so unique and so rare,
knowing how much they will or should sell for is nearly impossible.
That is the magic of an eBay auction . . . serious
buyers making a serious offer.
If
I'm in the
black,
you will own this vehicle!

Backstory
from the owner...
Parsons
Auto Body performed the lengthy body and paint
restoration process for this exquisite
Oldsmobile and it was through him I learned that
a widow was finally prepared to sell her
husband's treasured 442. Negotiations were
delicate and necessarily unhurried and even
though I knew of the car, what I saw when it
first came to my store caught me by surprise.
In 2010 we sold a very expensive, white 1971 442
W-30 to Lingenfelter Motor Sports. Yes,
that Lingenfelter, and as grateful and
pleased as they were with it; that car could not
even begin to compare to the concours-level
quality of this stunning 442. I'm always
searching for top muscle cars and with my
assistant, (Foy) we look at and usually, walk
away from a lot of Detroit iron. I am
extremely picky and this rare Oldsmobile is
among the very few worthy my hard earned money.
Restoration experience, verifiable authenticity
and condition, condition, condition are
what matters. Torque monster muscle cars are not
always treated well, but a precious few are.
This 442 is an absolute knock-out to see
in person and as good as my pictures are,
they can't possibly show the true excellence this car
instantly conveys in real life. What
else could you want? A great deal? I
have that covered too but book values mean
nothing with a car of this caliber. You already know you
get what you pay for and if you want the
absolute best with no excuses, this 1971
Oldsmobile 442 W-30 is a once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity. Read what
Foy has to say about driving, researching and
getting to know this exceptional car. Examine
every picture in detail, see the amazing
condition, up close and personal and then make
your call and give me an offer. I promise,
you will not be disappointed.

Drives Like a Brand New Car
New bumper, crystal clear lenses, crisp
bezels and flawless grille definition means this front end
is ready for the sales brochure photo shoot. Cold air
conditioner, variable ratio power steering and power front
disc brakes means this show car is definitely no chore to
drive . . .
Everything was removed from the body
before being stripped to bare metal. Everything
reattached with new rubber, gaskets and seals.
Correctly dated glass is original as are the seatbelts . . .
Show winning paint is glass smooth
everywhere and there is absolutely no orange-peel, fish-eye,
dust or any other bug-a-boo anywhere on the car.
Superb panel alignment is consistent and unlike too many
restorations, stripe application (under the clear) is near
perfection . . .
Doors open easily, don't sag and close
solid. Side glass rolls up and down silky smooth.
Lock function is clean and positive. Hood and trunk
lid hardware is firm and tight. All bolts and
fasteners are clean and pretty . . .
New rear bumper, unclouded lenses and a
preview of how nice the undercarriage is . . .
Correct reproduction Firestone Wide Oval
tires look great in this smooth, unblemished view looking
down the side . . .
A lot of nice Detroit iron comes our way
and after so many years, I'm surprised to say that this 442
is one of the top two or three highest quality, restored
muscle cars I have ever seen. I can honestly
say too, that trophy winning good looks is only half the
story with this very rare classic. The seat I settle
into obviously has new foam and it immediately feels like
I'm in a new car. That impression continues when I
turn the key and the big 455 rumbles instantly to life.
The Flowmasters sound good and I tap the throttle one more
time (never get tired of hearing it) before pulling the "His
and Hers" shifter into Drive. On the street, anything
more than a light throttle produces instant wheel-spin and a
second gear chirp. The car tracks laser straight,
feels very composed and I've yet to hear a single rattle.
3/4 throttle from about 35 mph flattens me firmly against
the seat. I slow back down to about the same speed and
then nail it to the floor. The chirp this time is
louder as an avalanche of torque unweights the front
suspension and rockets the car forward. I back off at
an indicated 80 mph and no shake, vibration or pulling is
felt at any time. The power steering it light (typical
for the period) but there is virtually no play at all.
The suspension is controlled and confidence inspiring.
Slowing down on the off-ramp, I hold my hands up and the
power front disc brakes bring the car to a complete stop
without me touching the steering wheel. A solid, well
sorted car you will certainly want to take care of but when
the urge strikes, you'll feel no need to hold back.
This Oldsmobile perfectly captures everything I know and
love about old school, American performance and 1971 was the
last year for truly powerful muscle car intermediates.
Unlike other (less powerful, less attractive) places to park
your money, this Oldsmobile 442 W-30 is an investment you
can touch, sit in, drive and fall in love with. An
investment you won't mind being seen in and will always
be a top market car.

Being stripped to bare metal and in the
paint booth . . .
Spectacular interior looks, feels and
functions like a new car. And it's loaded with
options: air conditioning, power driver's seat, tilt
steering, console, Rallye Pac cluster, am/fm stereo with
rear speaker, 8-track tape player, inside hood lock, sport
steering wheel and much more . . .
W-30 455s were factory blueprinted and were
upgraded with an aluminum intake manifold, performance
Quadrajet and a higher overlap cam.
Entire steering and suspension system are
new along with new fuel lines and brake lines . . .
Clean and dry undercarriage with new
springs, shocks, bushings and new fasteners throughout.
This also has a Flowmaster dual exhaust system with cross
over . . .
W-30 red fender liners and a smooth,
pretty frame . . .

I am a “used car dealer” but before that,
I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original rare and high
quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve
been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding
selection of high-demand, high value vehicles. I specialize
in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that
were cherished by their previous owners. I have an
experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my
preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I
have therefore, built my business and reputation around
finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.
Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict
requirements but a car must do something for me on a
personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the
bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional
vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably
won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of
business.
With just four employees and no sales
people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may
at first glance appear. It has taken great care and effort
to create such an organization and often, an unusually high
investment in a particular car we are about to list. To
sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my
corner and Chris, owner of
A-Best Auto Repair
in Henderson, Nevada has my back. He and his crew can fix
anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute
most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no
small detail unimportant. They do an exhaustive 130 point
inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes
their methodical investigation. Experience has shown that
everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back
to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy
customer that says good things about me. Moreover; it
allows my writer to describe the car with ease and
confidence, something that simply is not possible unless
he thinks it is true. If major issues are found or the
cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too
expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply
absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it
at auction.
After the vehicle is fully sorted it
arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious
eye of Tom, my writer that creates the presentations you see
on eBay. He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else
tells him about the car as he combs over every inch,
researches its history and documents originality and
authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special
features, possible modifications and much more are used to
accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty.
Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150
high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey
equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the
very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a
logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with
close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed
views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a
lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty
of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep.
Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so
meticulously clean. This reconditioning can sometimes take
several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially
prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each
car lovingly receives.
Usually, I’ll also include a high
definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If
it’s a fast car, we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4
you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will
hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system
and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser
thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent. How many
“dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty? We
do.
No “dealer,” on-line or in the real
world, takes it to this level. No other seller or
organization provides you, the buyer, with so much
information. I do this because it is the only way I can
convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or
feel their purchase, that my vehicle is for real and what I
say is the truth. All the above is necessary for me to stay
in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every
buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on
eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that
are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought
it.
If you have any questions at all, please
call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is
sincere and your offer serious, you’ll find me the most
accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If
you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my
bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the
conversation. Until you are ready to actually pull the
trigger, I will happily quote you the absolute highest
nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a
number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste
your time, or mine. I am after all, a “used car dealer.”
Serious buyers know the maximum they can
offer. I then must simply decide if I can sell for that
number.
If you hit the reserve, the decision is no
longer mine. I must sell at that number.
I don't respond to emails
asking for "bottom line, sale price, reserve, or Buy-it-Now"
figures on top line cars.
THE ONLY WAY YOU GET THOSE
FIGURES IS TO CALL ME!

The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF. You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator. The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.
General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco. For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down: 7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
If you have a need to relive the 1970s, then here is the vehicle for you. This groovy blast from the past is a 1976 GMC Motorhome currently for auction in Florida on eBay Motors, and it is one green machine - just not in the modern sense. The seller claims that this beast has had just two owners and has covered a mere 61,308 miles in its decades on the road. It's reportedly never been restored or repainted and comes with all of the necessary books and manuals. A 7.5-liter (455-cubic-inch) Oldsmobile V8 with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission powering the front wheels propels this far-out RV, and the double set of rear wheels out back use a self-leveling air suspension to provide a cushy ride. The purported low miles and good condition really make this GMC a stand out, though. The exterior combination of lime stripes and beige with just a touch of green is like nothing else on the road today. Plus, the polished bumpers and wheels make it all pop. Inside, it's even better with monochromatic green upholstery and shag carpet. It features everything you'd ever need on a long trip, including a bathroom, kitchenette and lots of seating. The only hint of modernization is an HD TV next to the stove, but its size is a perfect fit for the hole there.
