This is a fun little car.  But, my wife wants a red car so this one has to go.  I'm the original owner.  It's never been in an accident.  It runs great and is in like new mechanical condition.  The sound system is fantastic (has built in Rockford Fosgate sub-woofer in back).  I live in Florham Park NJ, 07932.  Feel free to ask any questions.  I'm glad to take and e-mail more pictures if needed.  There are a few door dings but overall the paint is in good condition.

Details about the car

  • I've included the window sticker from when I bought the car in the pictures, it has the super long list of features/options
  • It has the dealer Convenience Package (keyless entry and ignition), Audio Package, Power Moonroof, and ABS package
  • The Bluetooth system is great for answering and making calls just using the steering wheel controls.  It will mute the radio and the call comes through the speakers.  Also the build in microphone picks up your voice.
  • 27 City 33 Highway
  • Has ABS and as many airbags as any luxury car.  Actually it feels like a mini Infinity based on the interior quality and technology!  Use can feed in 6 CDs in dash and it has an audio in for your iPod.
  • Super Black exterior with really nice two tone beige interior and aluminum accents
  • I just put new tires on last summer, Pirellis!  So it handles as well as any economy car can  :-)
  • Automatic transmission is CVT type so it is nice and smooth.  No sudden jerking from one gear to the next.
  • Car answers to the name "Vinny" but not because of the Jersey Shore!
  • I'll include the winter floor mats I use in addition to the regular ones in the pictures
If you can't pick up in person I can have it shipped at your expense. Kelly Blue Book says this car is worth $10,099 for Very Good and 9,799 for Good.  I think the car is a "Very Good".  I'll post any questions I get for everyone to see.

Thanks and Good Luck,
Nate

Nissan teases new pickup on Twitter [w/video]

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

Nissan is celebrating 80 years of building pickup trucks by teasing its latest one on Twitter ahead of a June 11 reveal. Official information about the new vehicle is essentially nonexistent at the moment, but there are some clues to extrapolate from.

NHTSA opens investigation into Nissan's handling of airbag recall

Mon, Mar 23 2015

In March of 2014, Nissan recalled eight models among its Nissan and Infiniti brands, totaling more than one million vehicles, over faulty occupant classification system software controlling the passenger airbag. The company discovered a variety of factors that would interfere with the system's ability to detect an adult passenger in the shotgun seat, resulting in an illuminated warning on on the dashboard and the passenger airbag not deploying in an accident. Yet 124 complaints submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since the recall allege that the dealer-installed fix hasn't actually fixed the problem; some consumers say the problem persists after multiple trips to the dealer. The Detroit News reports that NHTSA is opening an investigation into the matter to determine whether a new recall is needed. The occupant sensor has been a bugbear for Nissan over the past couple of years; a much smaller recall for the issue in 2013 covered five of the eight vehicles that were recalled in 2014, and that earlier recall also continued to generate complaints after the issue had supposedly been fixed. At the same time, the company learned that in two instances there was another twist, where the dashboard warning wasn't illuminated but the passenger airbag still didn't go off in an accident. Nissan isn't alone, though, with airbag recalls on a steep upswing across the industry even before the Takata debacle.

Runway Rumble: Nissan GT-R, Ducati 1098 and Lamborghini Reventon Roadster battle it out

Tue, 29 Jan 2013

One 2.5-mile runway, three different ways to take off: a Ducati 1098, a tuned Nissan GT-R with 580 horsepower and a launch control upgrade, and a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster. You'd naturally expect the Ducati to assert it's lightweight, high-horsepower authority in these matters, but with more than two miles to run, the ride that gets the jump at the line isn't always the one that gets the win.
That comes in especially handy for the Lamborghini, which suffers from a bad start in the first race and just looks plain ordinary in the second, until it finds redemption. You can see how it all goes down in the video below.
