Please read this auction fully as well as look at all pictures prior to bidding on this Titan.

Now up for your consideration we have a 2012 Nissan Titan SV 4x4 crew cab with only 18,177 miles.  This is a very easy truck to repair and the condition is as follows:  Interior is very clean with the normal wear to be expected with the mileage, but as you can see in the pictures she will a drivers side airbag.  But overall in good condition.  Mechanically: She does run, of course because of the damage she will need to be towed home. But like I said she does run, but will need radiation as part of the repair to make her road ready.  Body:  Paint shines and shows just like a 2012 Titan should, as you can see in the pictures she will need a little attention.  This was a clean up the middle damage needing hood, bumper, grille etc. (please see pics!), but the fenders are clean an undamaged. She has the typical wear to expect from a vehicle with 18k miles (surface scratches, chips, dings etc.).  But overall a very easy repair to make her a road ready driver or work vehicle, and priced to be sold.  You can call me (914-968-0066x124 Billy D) or email me with any questions.  Please remember your bid is a contract, please treat it as such.  Also please make sure your funds are readily available to purchase this vehicle at auction end, if you do not have the funds ready to go, please do not bid.  We would like the Titan removed as well as paid for within 10 days of the close of this auction. This Titan is being sold as is, our dealer facility ID# 7109629. New York residents will be required  to pay sales tax, out of NY residents do not pay sales tax in NY.  New York residents will need to apply for a 907a inspection, all other bidders please copntact your local dmv for your states proper procedures.  With all that being said thanks for looking and good luck bidding to all.

Nissan rowed the Note ashore [w/video]

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

Normally we wouldn't suggest trying to float your car on water, but Nissan has made some modifications to turn its new Versa Note hatchback into a makeshift rowing shell.
Nissan replaced the car's rear seats with a sliding rear rowing seat, modified the doors to open wider at 90 degrees and fitted a pair of oars. Most importantly, they put the whole thing on a floating platform to keep it from sinking into Eton Dorney Lake, the site of the 2012 Olympic rowing competitions in England (where the car is simply known as the Nissan Note).
Then they invited medal-winning competitive rowers Helen Glover, Sophie Hosking and Polly Swann to come along and row the thing, making use of the around-view monitor system to see where they were going. All in all it may not be quite as cool as the boats which Fiat made out of the 500 or Mini made out of its convertible, but it's still enough to float our boat. Check it out in the video clip and press release below and the image gallery above.

Nissan Sport Sedan Concept foretells a future Maxima

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Nissan is in the midst of overhauling its design language. We got our first glimpse at the direction its style was going a year ago with the Resonance crossover concept, which was followed in Shanghai by the connected-car Friend-Me hatchback concept. And now, after dropping a few hints, Nissan has revealed the third in this developing series.
Unveiled at today's Detroit Auto Show, the new Sport Sedan Concept applies many of the same design elements we've seen on Nissan's previous show cars to a more conventional four-door shape. But far from a design exercise, the decidedly uncreatively named Sport Sedan Concept previews "a future production sports sedan," which has every indication of being the next Maxima.
Its dimensions reveal the concept to be bigger than the current Maxima in every direction but height, with that visual impression further entrenched by a floating roof design that combines with a high waistline to give a coupe-like profile. There are also sharp creases in the bodywork that visually break up the space between the rear set of 21-inch alloys and the tapered greenhouse. The shape is further punctuated by the V-shaped grille and distinctly Nissan boomerang-shaped lights that lend a face to this distinctly Japanese design that was penned in California and honed back in Japan. The sharp and simple cabin is characterized by a high-contrast palette with quilted leather and metallic trim.

GT-R takes on Altima V8 Supercar and Leaf Nismo in Nissan time attack special

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

One of the support races for the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar race in Australia was a Nissan showcase in the form of a time attack challenge: at the starting line were the Nissan Leaf Nismo RC, a GT-R and an Altima V8 Supercar. The 80-kilowatt Leaf Nismo RC was given a seven-second head start on the 545-horsepower GT-R and a 26-second lead on the 600-hp Altima V8 Supercar in hopes that it could get around the 3.21-kilometer course first.
Nissan's not afraid to burn the Leaf Nismo RC's rubber at the track, recently letting video series Translogic hit the kerbs, and it's put it up against some competition, having raced a Tesla Roadster - and lost. The odds were a bit better this time, but it wasn't the finish the hosts expected. Now a race commentator, the driver in the GT-R, Neil Crompton, finished on the podium of the Toohey's 1000 race in an R32 GT-R in 1992.
You can watch the hard-fought time attack in the video below. Skip ahead to 3:43 if you just want the action, but Crompton's recap of every driver interview ever is worth a watch at 2:41.
