For sale is my 2011 “galaxy black” Nissan Titan Pro-4x that I purchased
new in April of 2011 and has 38,700 miles on it and is located in Mount
Pleasant, SC. The truck has been
maintained by the dealership where it was purchased with the oil changed every
3,000 miles and all regularly scheduled maintenance performed. Recently performed 30,000 mile service
included flushing the transmission and coolant along with new filters etc. Also, has newly installed platinum series
battery. The truck has been tastefully
modified to be used for off road or overlanding use, however it still maintains
it’s factory ride and is practical as a daily driver. Asking price is $36,000.00 and includes a
full tank of fuel. The vehicle is no longer
under warranty, however it is still eligible for a factory warranty extension
for an additional charge. I will be
happy to assist in shipping this vehicle at the buyer’s expense.
The 2011 Nissan Titan Pro-4x is a full-size, crew cab, pickup truck that features a 5-foot, 7-inch bed. The Pro-4x package includes four-wheel drive with 2 speed transfer case and electronically locking rear differential and 5.6-liter V8 engine joined to a five-speed automatic transmission. The V8 is rated at 317 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. The Titan Pro-4x crew cab is rated to pull up to 9,400 pounds and the transmission features a tow-haul mode for handling heavy loads. This truck has every option that was offered for this model year including: • Standard features: 18-inch alloy rims, lockable tailgate, 40/20/40-split front bench seat, 60/40-split rear bench seat, air-conditioning, power windows and locks, keyless entry, receiver hitch and a seven-pin wiring harness connector.• P03 PR3 Pro-4x Premium Utility Package: Foglamps, rear parking sensors, a class IV hitch, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass display and Bluetooth. Lockable bedside compartment, adjustable tie-down cleats, tailgate area lighting, a 12-volt power source and a spray-in bedliner, power-adjustable pedals, power-extending/heated side mirrors, front tow hooks and an eight-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system with 6 disk changer and satellite radio. Rancho dampers, heavy-duty skid plates, a shorter final-drive ratio, all-terrain tires and a push-button rear locking differential. • U01 TEC Pro-4x Technology Package:
• X01 LUX Pro-4x Luxury Package: Leather upholstery, four-way power passenger seat and driver memory functions • A92 EXT Utility
Accessory:
Under rear seat storage tote/bin• L93 FL3 Pro-4x Floor Mats In addition to all of the listed factory components, the following
aftermarket components totaling approximately $10K have been professionally
installed (note that labor was not factored into price of aftermarket
components): • ARB Deluxe Front Bumper utilizing OEM skid plate and tow hooks
• Warn M12000 Winch • Anzio 24” LED light bar • Rocky Road Step/Sliders • Reunell Rear Plate Bumper with integrated 20k pound 2” receiver and tow hooks
• PRG Suspension Lift (3")
• Rough Country Traction Bars • 2013 Nissan Titan “Hyper Silver” (charcoal) colored rims with Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70R-18 Tires with 90% tread left • Century Truck Cap • Bed Rug • Hi-Lift Xtreme Jack & Bed Rail Mounts The truck is in very good condition with the usual wear associated with a 3 year old vehicle. I have never had any issues with the truck and everything works as it should. The only reason that I am selling is that I want to move up to a 3/4 ton truck with a longer bed. This truck gets compliments wherever it goes as the components have a somewhat factory looking appearance. The lines of the Reunell rear bumper compliment the front ARB bumper nicely. The cap was purchased used and is matching in color (galaxy black), however it has a few dings and scratches from it’s previous owner. The factory rear locker is a nice upgrade that is not found on some of the other 1/2 ton vehicles; a front ARB air locker is currently available as an aftermarket upgrade. I bought the cap last winter with intentions of removing it in the spring and liked having a covered, lockable space so I never removed it. There is also a scrape under the passenger tail light which I believe occurred in a parking lot when a car scraped by me pulling into a parking spot. I will see if I can get the scrape buffed out and I believe there is a pic illustrating the scrape. |

Nissan's Le Mans-bound ZEOD RC electric racecar nearing completion [w/video]
Sun, 01 Sep 2013Nissan is working away on its ZEOD RC (Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car) which is still on pace for a Le Mans arrival in 2014. As of right now, the DeltaWing-shaped car's carbon-fiber tub and chassis have been completed. The next step will be installing the twin electric motors and fitting the seat of driver and GT Academy winner Lucas Ordóñez. If the current schedule sticks, the zero-emissions racer will hit a UK track for test laps in September.
But while those initial shakedown laps will be under full electric power, it's unclear whether the setup fielded in the UK will survive until Le Mans. Nissan itself says that it will be testing a number of "electrified" drivetrains ahead of the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is a significant departure from race car design - usually, the teams know what's powering their car before they start building it.
"Just developing a single powertrain option in only 12 months would be a mammoth task but we're looking to carefully examine a number of options to ascertain which will be best suited for Le Mans," said Darren Cox, Nissan's global motorsport director. Take a look below for a video and press release from Nissan documenting the ZEOD RC's build process.
Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings
Mon, May 26 2014The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year. These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss.
