The enclosed system has a few specific goals in mind:
· Keeping hot air out of the intake stream. Modern engines are much more specifically engineered than the coal burners of yesterday. Bully Dog's Rapid Flow Air Intakes have been precision designed and tested for optimal cold air flow and decreased air turbulence.
· Designed to pull air from cold air sources from within the engine bay. Increased cold air is then fed to the engine, which in turn increases power.
· Accommodating a high flow cotton gauze air filter. Bully Dog also offers these top of the line air filters.
· Improving the look of the engine bay with slick-looking style. Our intakes are designed to give your engine bay a nice, sleek, custom finish.
· Clean Install - Quick and easy install achieved by snap on parts and easily assembled fittings makes the installation process simple.
Bully Dog Air Filters
A higher quality air filter is critical to achieving optimal results from an air intake kit. All Bully Dog's Rapid Flow CAI systems come with the industry's highest quality filter. Thus, performance is guaranteed.
Our Air Filters are manufactured under ISO 5011 specifications to ensure quality. We design our air filters with more surface area than any stock application. Overcompensating for air filter surface area helps guar- antee air flow, and will also extend the time needed between necessary filter maintenance.
FEATURES:
· Manufactured under ISO 5011 conditions
· Over 99% efficient at stopping debris
· Up to 25% more air flow over paper filters
· Filters are pre-oiled and ready to use
· Lower maintenance costs vs. paper filters
· Cleanable and reusable the filter's lifetime

· Prefilter available for every filter for a lifetime
· Multiple sizes for custom application

Nissan NV200 finds new work as ambulance, Gibson guitar repair truck
Thu, 28 Mar 2013We live in a world now where not every police cruiser and taxi is a Ford Crown Victoria, not every executive car is a Lincoln Town Car and not every ambulance is based on a Ford Econoline van. Vehicles like the new Nissan NV200 are making inroads into the service, livery and emergency vehicle markets, and we've got a couple cases in point to share.
The first one is a fleet of 30 new ambulances based on the heavier-duty NV2500 chassis. They are entering the Mexican Red Cross fleet of emergency vehicles this year after performing well in pilot tests last year. The Mexican Red Cross says it receives 1,200,000 ambulance service requests per year, so the mettle of these new machines will be tested in a hurry.
The second example is less useful for life-saving, but may save a guitar from going to the scrap heap. Called the Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, it can take the services of an authorized Gibson rep anywhere they're needed to repair or restore an axe in need. The van features a whole aesthetic designed to evoke the classic Gibson look, with wood veneer and shades of brown and black used throughout. There's a guitar rack that holds four instruments, a sliding 56-inch long repair table, toolbox, genuine Gibson stools and a sound system by Gibson Pro Audio.
Junkyard Gem: 1996 Nissan Quest XE with 338,549 miles
Sun, Jul 9 2023When I hit the junkyard, I always look for vehicles with impressive final figures showing on their odometers. I find so many Hondas and Toyotas with better than 300,000 miles that I don't consider them especially noteworthy (the exception being super-low-spec cheap models, such as a Tercel or Civic VX), and it goes without saying that the bar is quite high for Mercedes-Benzes as well. It has been surprisingly difficult to find discarded Nissans that made it past the 300k mark; today's Junkyard Gem is just the fourth I've documented. The highest-mile junked Nissan I'd found prior to today's minivan is a 1994 Maxima with 364,238 miles, followed by a 1987 Maxima with 341,176 miles and a 1986 200SX with 309,222 miles. Keep in mind that Nissan didn't go to six-digit odometers on most of its US-market cars until the early 1980s, and then went to tough-to-read-in-the-junkyard electronic odometers in the early 2000s; this means the pool of potential high-mile Nissans is limited to about the 1983-2000 range of model years. Ford has just as much right to claim credit to this van's impressive mile total as does Nissan, since the Quest was a collaboration between Ford and Nissan that also produced the Mercury Villager; this van was built by Ford at the Ohio Assembly plant. The Quest/Villager platform was derived from the Maxima's, and the engine is pure Nissan: a 3.0-liter VG30 V6 rated at 151 horsepower. The only transmission available in the first-generation (1993-1999) Quest/Villager was a four-speed automatic. This one appears to have been sold new at Landrum Nissan in Pueblo. The rear glass has been painted flat black, possibly to keep prying eyes from seeing valuable cargo. The rear seats are long gone, so this van probably hauled cargo for much of its long life. The front interior seems to be in good shape. Why is this van here? There's body damage on the left rear and right front, suggesting a crash that may have bent the suspension past the worth-fixing threshold. Perhaps the crinkled metal just made this van too unsightly, or maybe some powertrain problem was the culprit. This content is hosted by a third party. How did Nissan tweet a response to the Royal Baby announcement so quickly?
Sun, 14 Sep 2014A mere seven minutes after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced they were pregnant with their second child, Nissan had the perfect post circulating on the Twittersphere. How did Nissan know to expect Kate and William were expecting? By paying attention to the Internet zeitgeist.
It could be triplets and there would *still* be enough room for the Queen... #XTrail #SevenSeats #RoyalBaby pic.twitter.com/k4HiNAb7lq
