2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V.  Runs Excellent, no Mechanical/electrical issues and clear of any check engine light codes.  I bought the vehicle a little over two years ago from Performance Auto in Long Island NY.  They had retuned the entire vehicle prior to my purchase (@93000 miles).  Since then it hasn't had any major issues.  Please see the vehicle history report for extra detail (I have a copy if interested); Minor front right collision before I had the vehicle; damage was entirely cosmetic and repaired 100% and has no influence on drivability of vehicle.

---Recent PA Inspection/Emissions valid through 8/14---

I have upgraded the following:

Iridium Spark plugs (8000 miles ago)
Spectre Shortram Cone Air Intake
Stainless Steel Exhaust Headers
O2 Sensor Reconfiguration
Aftermarket ADR Design 17" Rims with low profile All-weather tires*
Brand new ceramic Brake pads and Clear-Coated rotors on all wheels
Clean interior no rips or tears
Battery is premium Autocraft Silver 1 yr old with brand new brass terminals
Regular oil changes at 3,000 mile intervals.  Purlator premium gold filters used.

****2 Sets of Wheels included.  Stock Wheels (17") + Aftermarket Rims (17").

I have 2 sets of wheels, both of which i am including with the vehicle.  The pictures I have are of the after market rims, which I have only on the front of the car right now.  I placed 2 of my stock wheels on the rear axle because of tire conditions (see below)

Tire condition Aftermarket ADR rims:
  1. Like New
  2. Like New
  3. Very Good
  4. Poor Unusable

Tire condition Stock rims:
  1. Good- inspection worthy
  2. Good- inspection worthy
  3. Usable but not inspect-able
  4. Usable but not inspect-able

I have other extras as well if interested i.e. aftermarket LED accented headlights that are NOT on the vehicle but can potentially be included.

Feel free to contact me about any and all concerns and get back to you with answers, at 570 906 1288.  I'm asking for a $500 deposit within 48 hrs; if you feel funny about putting down money before seeing the vehicle (I definitely would) you're welcome to check out the vehicle beforehand and drive it.  I can also potentially aid in the delivery given the right circumstances.  Thanks a lot and let me know whatever I can do to clarify any other details.

Renault planning a Tata Nano rival. Again.

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

Four years ago, Renault confirmed that it would partner with India's Bajaj Auto to develop a rival to the Tata Nano. At the time, as everyone waited for the Tata Nano to arrive, you could have used a Richter scale to measure the tremors the executive suites of any automaker with an interest in the low end of emerging markets. Then the Nano, still the cheapest car in the world, didn't sell so well - at the end of last year its sales were just six percent of its most conservative projections - and everyone seemed content to let Tata spend the money to figure out if there really was a market for the cheapest car in the world.
Renault believes there is, kind of. Automotive News Europe reports that it will partner with Nissan to build two low-priced cars for emerging markets, one for €3,000 ($3,888 U.S.) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 U.S.). The price of the least expensive offering is nearly $1,400 more than a Nano, which costs $2,500, and that can't be considered a small sum in comparison. But one of the hindsight knocks on the Nano has been that even in emerging markets buyers don't want a car whose biggest lure is that it is cheap; they'd rather give their aspirations a bit more of a workout.
Renault's offerings are scheduled to hit the non-Western market in late 2014, which is coincidentally the same year that will see the return of the budget-minded and emerging-market-specific Datsun nameplate. They'll be built in Renault facilities in Chennai, India, with no mention made of Bajaj this time around.

Tesla about to sell 50,000th Model S

Wed, Oct 22 2014

Nissan sold its 50,000th Leaf a total of two years and two months after introducing the EV to dealerships. Tesla isn't as established as Nissan, and its Model S - with its higher levels of luxury and performance - costs multiple times more than the Leaf. Consider the Tesla's starting price of $70,000-plus (and easily much more with a bigger battery and a few upgrades), and compare that to the Leaf's base MSRP of just a bit over $30,000 before its 2013 price cut. It would make sense, then, that it would take the Model S longer to hit 50,000 unit sales. But, no. The Model S could meet the 50,000 sales milestone before the end of October (in fact, it may already have done so). This is just two years and three months after it launched in late June 2012. The Model S could meet the 50,000 sales milestone before the end of October. Tesla hasn't released its sales report for the third quarter, but the Palo Alto-based automaker sold 39,128 units of the Model S through June. Previously, Tesla estimated it would have 7,800 third quarter sales (putting it at 46,928 through September), other independent estimates put Tesla at 50,000 sales in late October. The Model S may not have beat the Nissan Leaf to 50K, but it's not hard to see how this is a win for the California automaker. Arguably, this is a case where we all win. Anytime some buys an EV instead of a traditionally powered vehicle - regardless of marque - that's less energy consumed while driving, fewer emissions and an example set to others who have yet to make the switch. It's hard not to be impressed by Tesla's relative success. Furthermore, Tesla coming so close to Nissan in selling 50,000 EVs is, above all, a testament to the desirability of the Model S, despite the Leaf's clear advantage in terms of attainability.

NA auto output to reach 11-year peak

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

According to Automotive News, automakers are expected to manufacture 16 million light vehicles in North America in 2013. That's up 500,000 units from last year and marks the largest number since 2002. The prediction comes courtesy of LMC Automotive and IHS Automotive, which point to the improving US economy as a bellwether for total production. LMC Automotive says North America will produce 16 million vehicles while IHS has a slightly more optimistic forecast of 16.1 million units. A total of seven automakers are slated to increase production on the continent this year. Nissan is set to see the largest jump at 20 percent over last year.
Volkswagen, meanwhile, is one of the only manufacturers predicted to scale back production. Analysts expect the German company's output to fall by 23 percent to 170,000 units, thanks in part to slow demand for the Volkswagen Passat and Jetta.
