The vehicle will need a tune-up due to being in storage for the past 2 years.  The vehicle will need a new battery, new brakes, and new tires.  The previous owner was a heavy smoker, so there is an obvious smell of smoke and ashes within the vehicle.  The interior seats are in fair condition, however, VERY dirty.  Due to being a seized vehicle, we do not know a great deal about it's condition.

Should you have any questions or would like to view the vehicle in person, please contact me through eBay email, ask a question through the auction site, or telephone me at (708) 579-2334 and follow the prompt.  If I am unavailable at the time of your call, leave me a voice mail and I will return your call as soon as possible.  I am currently working 7:00am-3:00pm (CST).  The winning bidder should make a deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of the closed of the auction.  The winning bidder may pay in full upon pick up of the vehicle with either cash or a certified bank check ONLY, at which time a Bill Of Sale and clear title will be provided.  Again, pick up of the vehicle should be done within seven (7) days of the close of the auction.  Good Luck, Sgt. Cimbalista!

2015 Nissan Micra is your cheapest new car, Canada

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

Canadians looking for a brand-new car on the cheap, take note. This is the 2015 Nissan Micra, and it will arrive at dealerships this spring boasting a starting price of $9,998 Canadian dollars (circa $9,100 US), well under the $11,898 asked for a 2014 Versa Sedan.
Of course, that ultra-low asking price isn't for a fully loaded model. The Micra will arrive in the Great White North in three trims - S, SV and SR - with the buyer's choice of a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. A 109-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder is the sole engine choice. There will also be a number of accessory options that should allow some personalization for the small cars, with Nissan claiming that things like door handle finishers and mirror caps will be available in five different colors (plus chrome) for under $200.
"At Nissan, we understand the need in Canada for small, urban-friendly cars that are fun to drive and express their driver's personality. With Micra, we're delivering a proven global vehicle at a very attractive price - it's going to make a huge impact on the market," said Christian Meunier, the President of Nissan Canada.

Gran Turismo vs reality as Red Bull pro-gamer takes on Nismo pro racer

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

The last time we saw a real racing driver pitted against a professional gamer, Viagame threw one of each in a Renault Megane RS and the contest was staged as the pro driver navigated the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. That could be seen as a handicap for the gamer, since he's got to get his drive on while dealing with all sorts of unfamiliar G-force sensations that are out of time with what he's doing. Even so, the gamer won.
Nismo has taken its turn, running almost the same contest at Silverstone in the UK. This time, though, it has put its GTAcademy Driver and pro driver Wolfgang Reip in a car by himself, while Red Bull pro gamer Erik Leštach gets to play Gran Turismo 6 safely locked down in the pits. With each driver in his chosen milieu, the game is afoot.
You can find out who won by watching the video below, and for a chance to win something yourself, Nismo will send a box of goodies to whomever guesses the winning time in the video's comments on YouTube.

Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.
