Up for sale is a 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE. This car has 121XXX miles on it. This car has been my daily driver for 7 years and it has never let me down. It gets good gas mileage, from 28-30 mpg. It has had its oil changed every 3000 miles and has been maintained since I have owned it. This car has new tires, new fuel pump, and new brakes, and the oil will be changed prior to your purchase. This car has a wonderful motor and the transmission shifts smoothly. It goes into all gears with ease. It has a brand new stereo with 4 settings: tuner, cd, usb (for iphone/ipod hookup), and an auxiliary jack. Heat and air conditioning work well and fast. It has power windows, power locks, and power side mirrors. The battery is newer and never hesitates. The paint looks fairly good for being a 12 year old car. It has a couple of small dings and scratches, but that's expected of any car this age. There are a few minor problems that are expected with any used car. The exhaust has a small leak which doesn't change how the car runs, it just makes it a little louder than normal. Also there is a rust spot on the trunk which was there when I bought the car. Since I've had the car the horn hasn't worked which hasn't really affected me. Overall the car runs great and looks pretty sharp too. It is a great commuter, or would make a wonderful first car. It has never broken down on me either. Included in the auction is a Haynes repair manual and an auxiliary cord/phone charger for an Ipod/Iphone. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction. This car is also pickup only unless you want to pay for shipping. Happy bidding!

Bug-eyed next-gen Nissan Titan spied testing
Fri, 28 Jun 2013It's no secret that the fullsize pickup truck market is dominated by offerings from Detroit's Big Three automakers, the Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra not able to outdo the Ford F-150, Ram 1500 or Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra twins. A great deal of that has to do with the fact that, while the American trucks have all undergone evolutionary updates that include a range of body styles, fuel-efficient engines and excellent technology, the Japanese offerings are, well, really old. Toyota is offering an updated Tundra for the 2014 model year, and while we haven't driven it yet, we're already betting that it's still behind the pack in terms of competitiveness - the 2013 model placed fifth out of sixth in a recent PickupTrucks.com comparison test.
At the bottom of the pack lies the Nissan Titan, a truck that hasn't received any sort of substantial update since its introduction nearly ten years ago. But that's going to change - a new truck is slated to debut for the 2015 model year, and these spy shots of a Titan mule clearly show that things are moving forward.
While this tester relies heavily on the current truck's bodywork for testing purposes, the new Titan will have a revised design, some of which is evidenced by the bug-eyed front fascia of this mule. No, the production model isn't going to look all weird (we hope), but the higher, more outboard headlight placement suggests that the new truck will be a bit wider than the current model.
This is Nissan's 2014 Detroit Auto Show concept
Tue, 20 Aug 2013During a media event in Los Angeles today, Nissan flashed a few images of a new concept car that will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January. According to Shiro Nakamura, senior vice president and chief creative officer of design and brand management at Nissan, this unnamed concept has a "very strong design signature" and shows "[Nissan's] future design direction."
It's certainly quite sleek, this concept, yet specific elements like the front fascia and taillamps are evolutionary steps from what we're seeing on some of Nissan's newest products. Those rear lamps look like sleeker versions of what the Sentra wears, and that grille appears to be a more stylized version of what the next-generation Rogue has been seen sporting.
As for what, exactly, this concept previews, that's still up in the air, though our best guess is that it hints at a Maxima successor. After all, Nissan did confirm to us that a new Maxima is currently in development, and showing this concept in early 2014 lines up with our predictions that the next-generation sedan should arrive in time for the 2015 model year.
Nissan's autonomous cars could drive in US first, maybe by 2020
Fri, Jan 24 2014Future shock could be just six short years away, and coming first to the US. Nissan says it might start making autonomous versions of its cars available in the US by 2020, before the tech hits the road in other countries. The Japanese automaker is in extensive discussions with regulators from California, the best-selling state for the Leaf battery-electric vehicle, for allowing self-driving vehicles to be on its roads, Hybrid Cars says, citing a conversation with Nissan executive Andy Christensen at the recent Detroit Auto Show. Many decisions need to be made between now and then, given the hurdles related to issues such as regulations, liability, safety and technology - and Christensen said the first wave of self-driving vehicles would be able to do their thing only on the highway. The vehicle of choice is most likely to be the Leaf because it's completely battery operated, making the conversion to autonomy that much easier. Last summer, Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn first promised production autonomous cars by 2020. The automaker has teamed up with MIT, Stanford, Oxford and others to extensively test its "Autonomous Drive" concepts since then. Late last year, Nissan tested a self-driving Leaf on Japanese public roads. Nissan is not alone promoting autonomous driving as a way to increase safety, fuel economy and traffic flow, just some of the reasons why the idea may be the wave of the nearer-than-we-thought-future. For example, the company says 93 percent of accidents are caused by driver error.
