1992 Nissan Sentra Se-r Project/race Car on 2040-cars

Up for bid is my 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R. I have had the car for about two and a half years now, but I have lost interest and decided to move onto some other projects. The vehicle is currently in a non-running condition and the entire interior has been removed. Vehicle ran without issue when parked. Vehicle has been sitting apart for about 6 months. This would make a great Project/Race Car for someone who can take the time to put it back together. All of the basic parts are there, it just needs some time and effort to put it back together. I had planned to get a full roll cage installed. There is NO RESERVE on this auction, so the highest bidder will own this vehicle when the auction is over.

Basics: 163K on Chassis. Car is red in color. Car has clean and clear North Carolina title (not currently registered).

Recently installed JDM SR20DE engine (mileage unknown). New clutch. Short throw shifter. New header (EBAY Special). Vehicle has Kirk Racing 4-Point Roll Bar (bolt-in) installed. Optima Red-Top battery relocated to trunk (battery installation will have to be completed, there is currently no wiring installed for the battery). Steel braided brake lines. Koyo Aluminum radiator installed. Cusco Front Strut bar installed. Progress front and rear sway bars installed. Unknown spring and shocks installed. Auto-Meter Oil pressure and low oil pressure warning light included. Has bronze 15-inch Nissan Sentra SE Wheels with street tires installed (spare is currently installed due to one of the tires being flat, it will be repaired when vehicle is sold, tires are in fair condition). Lots of spare pieces and parts included with the vehicle (too much to list).

The following is every issue that I know about the car. The sunroof has been removed, there is a metal plug currently duct taped the roof to keep the elements out. This vehicle has all of the interior removed and most of it discarded. There are no seats or carpet at all! The only interior pieces left are the dash board, center console pieces, gauge cluster, heater box, and door panels (still installed). Front bumper and drivers side have some cosmetic damage (see pictures). Power steering has been disabled. ABS has been disabled and wiring to rear speed sensors removed. A/C removed. Engine ECU and interior wiring had been disconnected.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask at all! I will respond ASAP! I have tried to be as up front as possible about the condition of the vehicle and what parts are missing. The pictures were taken the day of the auction listing.

Trailer and trailer accessories in pictures are not included with the vehicle.

Vehicle is located in Southeastern NC. Winning bidder is responsible for pick up of vehicle and all spare parts. I will help out with this as much as possible.

$100 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit is required via PayPal at auction end. Balance can be paid with CASH or via PayPal at vehicle delivery.

Nissan Leaf, e-NV200 get orange treatment for Ultraman Ginga S

Fri, Jun 13 2014

The automobile-as-crime-fighting-teammate concept dates back at least to the 1960s Batman television series, gained further currency during the 1980s with Knight Rider and was referenced in the recent Kia ads featuring Los Angeles Clippers basketball star Blake Griffin and Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock fame. Now, Nissan has put a bright, colorful spin on the idea by tricking out both a Leaf electric vehicle and an e-NV200 electric van for the Japanese television show Ultraman Ginga S. A far cry from the aforementioned muscle cars (the Leaf powertrain delivers just 107 horsepower), the vehicles still cut dashing figures by featuring a lot of orange, a bunch of geegaws, a body kit and cannons. Yes, cannons. They were shown off at the Tokyo Toy Show. The Ultraman Ginga series debuted on Japanese television just last year, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). Nissan started making the real-world e-NV200 electric van in Spain in May. No plans have been announced for US sales, though the Japanese automaker will export the van to its home country. There's an explanatory video and Nissan's press release about the Ultraman Ginga vehicles below, but we apologize in advance, as you will need to be able to read Japanese for the PR. Some NY cabs could avoid hybrid ban

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The Nissan NV200 is having a rough go of it as New York City's Taxi of Tomorrow. The Greater New York Taxi Association wants the van banned on the grounds that it isn't a hybrid, and has gone so far as to sue the city to keep the NV200 out of taxi fleets. According to The New York Times, the city has responded by proposing to allow taxi drivers to use certain hybrid vehicles. The Taxi and Limousine Commission's proposal would allow any vehicle with an interior volume of 138 cubic feet or more. Unfortunately, that excludes nearly every machine that isn't the size of the NV200.
Technically, Nissan is working on a hybrid version of the Taxi of Tomorrow, but it may be years before that model hits the streets, and the Greater New York Taxi Association isn't satisfied with the city's offer. In a statement, the Association said, "These rules look like they have been created to short-circuit the litigation. We do not consider this to be a serious proposal."

Renault to propose joint holding company with Nissan, Nikkei reports

Fri, Apr 26 2019

TOKYO — Renault SA will propose to Nissan Motor Co a plan to create a joint holding company that would give both firms equal footing as the French automaker seeks further integration with its Japanese partner, the Nikkei newspaper reported on Friday. Under the proposal, both firms would nominate a nearly equal number of directors to the new company in which ordinary shares in both Nissan and Renault would be transferred on a balanced basis, the newspaper said, without citing sources. This would effectively dilute the stake held by the French government in Renault to around 7-8 percent, from its current 15 percent, it added. The new company would be headquartered in a third country, such as Singapore. Renault plans to make the proposal to Nissan soon, the Nikkei said, having modified an earlier merger idea that Nissan rejected on April 12. Nissan declined to comment on the issue. The Financial Times newspaper reported that both Nissan and the Japanese government have refused to engage in merger talks with Renault. The report of the proposal comes as the outlook for the alliance — one of the world's top automaking partnerships — has clouded since the arrest in November of its main architect, Carlos Ghosn, for suspected financial misconduct. It also comes as Nissan's financial performance struggles following years of focusing on volume sales over building its brand, particularly in the United States, its biggest market. Nissan slashes its forecast This week, the Japanese automaker slashed its profit forecast for the year just ended to its lowest in nearly a decade, citing weakness in its U.S. operations. Renault for years has been vying for a closer merger with Nissan, which it rescued from the brink of bankruptcy two decades ago. Ghosn had been working to achieve a deeper integration before his arrest on financial misconduct charges in November last year. While the automakers have been consolidating many of their operations over the past decade, including procurement and production, many executives at Nissan have opposed an all-out merger with Renault. Instead, Nissan has argued for a more equal footing with Renault, which holds a 43 percent stake in its bigger partner. Nissan holds a 15 percent stake in Renault. It was unclear whether Renault would hold the casting vote in major decisions at the new company, as it did in Renault-Nissan B.V., a strategic management company jointly held by both companies that oversaw operations for the partnership.
