THIS WAS RUNNING GREAT AND THEN IT STARTED RUNNING LIKE IT HAD WATER IN THE GAS. IT SMELLS LIKE IT IS RUNNING REALLY RICH. THEN IT WOULD DIE. I REPLACED THE COIL AND FUEL FILTER AND THEN TOOK IT IN. $1,000 LATER IT STILL DID THE SAME THING AND HE SAID I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO SOMEONE WHO COULD PUT IT ON A BETTER MACHINE. I NEVER DID AND IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. SINCE 07 I THINK. I HAD THE BELTS REPLACED IN 06. IT HAS LOTS OF ANNOYING ISSUES. THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS ARE OFF TRACK AND WILL NOT ROLL UP. THE LOCK DOES NOT WORK. IF IT GETS LOCKED, THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET IN IS WITH THE KEY THROUGH THE BACK. THERE ARE SOME SMALL DENTS AND DINGS. THE DRIVERS SEAT IS IN REALLY BAD CONDITION. THE LEATHER IS TORN AND PART OF THE INSIDE IS MISSING. AT SOME POINT IN TIME, THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE ORIGINAL ENGINE REPLACED WITH A REBUILT ENGINE. I THINK THAT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND 2000. SO I EXPECT THE MILEAGE THAT SHOWS INCLUDES THE MILEAGE ON THE OLD ENGINE ALSO. IT GETS ABOUT 16 MPG. IT WILL NOT SMOG NOW. THE PLASTIC GISMOS OUTSIDE IN FRONT OF THE WIPERS ARE BROKEN. THE FINISH ON THE PAINT IS FLAKING. IT IS DIRTY TOO. I EXPECT IT CAN BE REPAIRED AND PUT BACK ON THE ROAD OR IT WOULD BE A GOOD PARTS VEHICLE. YOU WILL NEED TO PICK IT UP HERE AT MY HOUSE. Nissan Rogue, Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 recalled for loose lug nuts
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Nissan has announced a small recall affecting 334 vehicles built just a few months back. 2014 Nissan Rogue and Pathfinder and 2014 Infiniti QX60 CUVs built between March 7 and March 10, 2014 could be susceptible to a loose lug nut on the passenger side wheels.
We shouldn't have to explain why a loose lug is a bit of an issue. Thankfully, it's also a ridiculously easy fix. Nissan obviously recommends reporting to your local dealer - and it will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles - but this is one of those rare recalls that has an easy DIY element to it.

Renault and Nissan forge deeper alliance
Tue, 18 Mar 2014If the automotive industry's current era could be summarized by one trend - from a corporate aspect, anyway - surely it would be conglomeration. But of all the major auto groups that have emerged over the past several years, none have kept themselves at arm's length quite like the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
Much like Fiat and Chrysler, Renault and Nissan are presided over by a common chief executive. But whereas Sergio Marchionne's Italian-American alliance has moved swiftly from a transatlantic partnership to a merged company in the span of less than five years, Carlos Ghosn's Franco-Japanese alliance has stood oceans apart since 1999. But now the Renault-Nissan Alliance is following the lead set by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in bridging that distance through several key measures.
For one, Renault and Nissan will make increased use of common platforms, R&D, systems and testing. The two automakers will also cooperate more closely on manufacturing and supply chain management, purchasing and human resources. To manage the increased cooperation, the alliance has appointed several new executive vice presidents from within its ow ranks and a new management committee to be chaired by Ghosn, details about which you can read in the press release below.
2015 Nissan Murano to hit the stage in NY
Tue, 18 Feb 2014When the Nissan Murano launched in the early-2000s it was one of the first crossovers to eschew truck-like looks in favor of more sporty styling. For the third generation, Nissan is rumored to be taking the CUV's design even farther with inspiration from the wild Resonance concept that debuted at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. According to Edmunds, Nissan will unveil the next-generation, 2015 Murano and an unnamed concept at the New York Auto Show in April.
The new Murano will go on sale this fall on the same front-wheel drive platform as the Altima, Pathfinder and next-gen Maxima. Its size will be roughly unchanged compared to the current model, and there won't be a seven-seater option. Nissan spokesman Dan Bedore told Edmunds that it already offers "three rows in the Rogue as an option and three rows in the Pathfinder for everything. We don't need another three-row crossover." There will also be a rumored hybrid version using the Pathfinder's supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 22-horsepower electric motor and lithium-ion battery. To disappoint the dozen people who will miss it, the much-maligned Murano CrossCabriolet will not make it to the third generation. Let's all shed a tear.
