This is a 1995 Nissan Pickup that has been converted to full electric operation. All manuals and information from the manufacturers of the electric conversion parts and books on how to convert to electric are included. The truck itself is in Good Condition, could use some body work, but runs and DRIVES PERFECT!! Can cruise down the Highway at 70mph NO PROBLEM and has at least a 100-125 mile range. More than that is possible, but it depends on your driving style. Can easily be charged simply by plugging in to any standard 110V plug. WHY PAY HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS TO INSTALL THOSE NEW POWER STATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE NISSAN LEAF AND OTHER EV'S!? Charge at HOME, work, at a rest stop, or anywhere else you can run an extension cord or find a standard plug. If you got a plug-in you got "GAS!" Has full electric motor and standard "clutchless" transmission. DC Amp meters show current usage and the amount of charge left or "fuel left in the tank". All electric ammenities and operations OTHER THAN the motor run off a back up 12V standard auto battery and is charged via standard alternator converted to charge off rear axle power.
Vehicle itself (ENGINE) operates on 144V or 12 - 12V deep cell auto batteries. The batteries are located in the bed of the pickup and protected from the weather with a cap (included), and also includes the charging system, giving you the ability to plug in to any STANDARD 110V household outlet and have a LARGE variety of charging options including but not limited to quick charge, trickle charge, etc as well as a master/emergency shutoff located on the passenger side which can be pulled at any point to disconnect all power to the vehicle in case of emergency or if necessary for any other reason including storage. Meters included in dash tell you current charge level (fuel left) and current usage (elec. version of MPG) for the main batteries (in the bed) as well as current charging volts for the accessory/back up battery (back up batt. is located under the hood).
You will receive all the manuals and information included with the conversion and any information you could ever need or would ever need to know about the conversion for this vehicle AND/OR EVEN TO CONVERT ANOTHER VEHICLE, if you feel up to it.
MOST IMPORTANTLY!! NO TAX BREAK HAS BEEN USED OR REQUESTED FOR THIS VEHICLE SO YOU WILL HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO WRITE THIS VEHICLE AND IT'S PURCHASE/CONVERSION OFF ON THIS YEARS TAXES!!
Wiring schematics etc are also included with mapping of all individual components. All work has been professionally and intelligently done by capable hands with 50+ years of experience with building, designing, engineering, electrical, and inventing PLUS MUCH MUCH MORE KNOWLEDGE! Truly a master of all trades or anything needed to build something with your hands or practically any tool you can imagine. Have no worries when purchasing this vehicle. Although the bodywork etc could be used as a project, the Conversion of this vehicle is NOT A PROJECT, and is complete/finished for the end user!!
PRACTICALLY NO MAINTENANCE REQUIRED!! Never pay for another oil change! Never buy another drop of fuel!
Brakes, tires, and batteries are practically all you will ever need to worry about. As with any automotive battery you should expect to easily get 4-5 years OR MORE out of the batteries with normal and responsible use and care.
This is not a toy, has been adult maintained and adult constructed. If you are looking for a BRAND NEW CAR this is not for you, it is a 1995, however there's less than 400 miles on the Electric Motor and the Conversion. Although there are a few miles on the Truck itself, not much remains of the original truck besides the frame and body.
My Father-In-Law built this conversion, I am simply selling it for him, he is a genius with this type of work! Some may find it silly that he JUST built this and is already selling it, but that's just how he works. How many people do you know can say they can, and have, built an electric vehicle you can drive everyday and plug into the wall in your garage?? He only wanted to prove to himself and others that he COULD build it, and then ACTUALLY build it for the experience. Now it's time for someone else to enjoy it as he moves on to his next project - a Ford F-350 Diesel that he'll convert so it will run purely on firewood/coal (or any other material you can burn) and the gas it expells as it burns OR Diesel, if you choose, with the flick of a switch. He enjoys inventing and converting vehicles (and other things) to run for FREE, or practically free, on alternative sources of fuel.
Please be aware aside from any value of the truck itself, any cost for labor to build and convert the truck, or additional materials necessary, the parts, motor, batteries, chargers, shut-off, etc ALONE cost over $7000! So this is a GREAT DEAL!! This can be a fun vehicle, a project, or even a daily driver!! Great for anyone who drives long distances to work or has a second vehicle that gets 10mpg (gas) but could really use something like this for all the everyday needs and trips.
The last EV (Electric Vehicle) project he helped put together went within HOURS of posting so DON'T HESITATE! BID now! All paperwork is normal as far as Title, Registration, etc. and nothing is different or difficult for you to transfer ownership. Nothing is different or difficult for Inspection, Registration, etc. VEHICLE IS READY TO DRIVE AND HAS BEEN DRIVEN! Title is here and ready to sign over. The vehicle doesn't move until CASH is IN HAND just FYI. Everything you need to Write off the conversion on your taxes will also be included and seperate Bills/Receipts can be written for the vehicle and the conversion if necessary to save on taxes etc for registration/ownership.
The vehicle did pass NYS inspection without any issues, and because it is a 1995 it is not subject to emissions standards and new inspection policies/laws etc. Basically they will check tires, brakes, etc on the vehicle since there is not any emissions to worry about anyway and 1995 is the cutoff for all other inspection standards.

Nissan Kicks concept debuts in Sao Paulo [w/videos]
Tue, 28 Oct 2014The Sao Paulo Motor Show only comes around once every other year, and Nissan - an automaker deeply vested in the Latin American market - isn't missing out on the opportunity to showcase a new crossover concept.
Called the Kicks concept, the crossover seems to slot in size-wise in between the Juke and the Rogue. Nissan isn't saying much about it, though, aside from its having drawn its inspiration from Brazil with a "satin titanium" finish and bright orange trim - the former taking its cues from Sao Paulo and the latter from Rio.
While emphasizing its Brazilian character, Nissan also stresses that the concept's creation was "a product of global collaboration." So while it isn't saying anything about production feasibility, it is seemingly suggesting that if it were put into production - and as we stated previously, we think it just might - it could stand to be a global model and not confined strictly to South America.
Nissan gets new NA boss, lowered forecasts in management shakeup
Sat, 02 Nov 2013José Muñoz, a Nissan and Infiniti sales and marketing vice president, will replace Colin Dodge as Nissan's new North America chief, come Jan. 1, as part of a wide-ranging management shuffle, Automotive News reports. Dodge will remain on Nissan's board, be assigned to special projects and report directly to CEO Carlos Ghosn.
Nissan is working on reorganizing its global operations into six regions, each with a new chief: North America (Muñoz' territory), Latin America, Japan-Southeast Asia, China, Europe and Africa-India-Middle East. Currently Nissan divides the globe into three regions, the Americas, Europe-Africa-India-Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Nissan also lowered its sales forecast from 5.3-million vehicles to 5.2 million for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2014. Last year, the company sold 4.914 million in the same period. In May, after Nissan's market share had fallen to 7.7 percent, Ghosn said he wants to double sales in the US by 2017 and increase its market share in the country to 10 percent.
Nissan Altima takes first V8 Supercars win
Mon, 26 Aug 2013The V8 Supercars championship used to be strictly a contest between Holden and Ford. But just as BMW crashed the Audi and Mercedes party in DTM, so has Nissan (and for that matter, Mercedes) pushed past the door into Australia's popular touring car series. And like BMW, Nissan hasn't waited long before notching its first victory.
Nissan claimed the checkered flag this weekend in the first of three races at Winton, the ninth stop on the calendar. And what a spectacular win it was: not only did Nissan take the checkered flag, they finished one-two. James Moffat drove his Altima to the finish line just ahead of teammate Michael Caruso. It was Caruso who lead the first half of the race after qualifying just behind defending champion (and current points leader) Jamie Whincup, who suffered a gearbox malfunction and retired on only the ninth lap.
Of course that's just one race out of 27 so far and 37 scheduled this season, so that won't be elevating Nissan or any of its drivers to the lead the same way that BMW did upon its return last season to DTM, but it's a good start and a cause to celebrate for Nissan. Mark Winterbottom (Ford) and James Courtney (Holden) won the following two rounds at Winton as Jamie Whincup (Holden) leads Will Davison (Ford) in the standings.
