Up for auction is a 1994 Nissan D21 XE Extended Cab Pickup Truck
About the truck:
It is a 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive automatic transmission with just under 132k miles and gets 25mpg highway
It has AC, power steering, power mirrors, sliding rear window and fold out side windows
It has a cap with a sliding rear window and a bed liner
It seemed well maintained when I bought it and I have kept it in good running condition
Everything in the truck works and it is mechanically sound
Some of the improvements I made are:
New AM/FM single disc mp3 player with four new speakers
new exhaust system, front brakes and rear shocks
Alloy wheels and tires last year
I am the second owner and as far as I know it has never been in an accident.
I bought it from a small used car lot in Pennsylvania 2 years ago.
The original owner ran a small handyman business and this was his work vehicle
What's wrong:
The truck has some rust on the bumper and the rear drivers side wheel well (see pics)
The rear bumper on the drivers side is dented (see pics)
The drivers seat has a tear on the side near the back of the seat (see pics)
The inside headliner droops and should be replaced
The tachometer is flaky, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't
These problems were all there when I purchased the truck
I did a check on Kelley Blue Book and this is what I found
For a private sale For a dealer trade
Good condition -- $5450 Good condition -- $4100
Fair condition -- $4950 Fair condition -- $3500
I was going to trade it to a dealer but I decided to put it up for auction first
If you read the KBB description I feel the truck falls somewhere between good and fair.
It is almost 20 years old but still runs great.
Good Luck and thanks for looking

Nissan leaning on JATCO to remedy CVT problems
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Nissan's decision to fit continuously variable transmissions across even more of its new models may be coming back to bite the Japanese automaker, as it's been hampered by customer satisfaction issues relating to its XTronic CVTs, which are provided by a supplier called JATCO.
From what we're understanding, the issue largely relates to customers' unfamiliarity with the non-traditional shift nature of a CVT. Dealers have reported complaints and service visits from owners over the belt-driven automatics (did these people not test drive the cars before they bought them and notice that they don't shift conventionally?).
The company, which Nissan owns 75 percent of, has come under fire from none other than Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, who's spoken about JATCO and its troubles rather openly. "Every time you launch a new CVT you always have some risks," Ghosn said in an interview with Automotive News. "So we now have a process by which, before we launch any new CVT, [JATCO] come before the Nissan executive committee to explain all the measures they have taken to make sure there are no surprises."
Nissan Note getting a little louder with Nismo versions this fall
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Nissan's Nismo performance division has been getting more chances to shine recently with tuned models like the Juke Nismo RS and GT-R Nismo. But its latest creation moves closer to the bottom of the Japanese brand's lineup to make a hot hatch out of the (Versa) Note.
At least in Japan, the new model is due this fall, and Nismo is keeping a lot of the details about its latest creation a secret for now. What we do know is that it'll be available in two trims - the Note Nismo and the sportier Nismo S. "The development concept of this model was to build a car that makes you want to keep driving, no matter where your destination may be," said the division's chief product specialist, Hiroshi Tamura, in the company's announcement.
Aesthetically, the Note Nismo looks the way a tuned Nissan should, with the division's signature red trim outlining the car. It also wears a new, mesh grille, lower air dam, red side sills and rear spoiler. Inside, the S gets standard sport seats with full Recaro buckets as an option. Nissan didn't release technical specs for either version, but it promises that the S also gets a tuned engine with a five-speed manual.
