If you have any questions i did not answer please message me. It took me about 1 full day to put all this together so please take the time to read this listing as i have put a lot of time into describing the truck and what I have done to fully restore this truck in the state it is now! Please do not ask me how i swapped the engine in my truck or if i can help you with your swap! There's plenty of info online to help you with your swap, my time is pretty limited so i don't want to be swamped with dozens of messages regarding trouble shooting or your swap. But anyhow... here we go full description below
HOW I GOT THE TRUCK
Ok so as stated the truck has a full SR20DET swap! Fully running with no engine problems! I got this Nissan Hard Body in 2006 from my cousin that used it as a daily beater. In 2006 i had a Nissan Titan and i was looking for a small pickup to drive back and forth to work since gas prices were high at the time and still are to the date but i figure this little Nissan will get a lot better gas mileage then my Titan! I asked my cousin if he would sell me his truck and he said yes ill sell it to you, so that was the start of all this madness! When I got the truck it wasn't the best looking truck, needed a lot of work lots of work to be exact but like any guy we love our project cars right lol! Posted a slide show video on youtube with few pics of what it looked like before the body was actually pretty straight just the paint was nasty original paint tho, interior was worn and old (ugly) needed a full restoration and i was actually thinking about not restoring this truck but like i said we love our projects right so i went ahead a took my money out of the bank and started this project!
PAINT AND BODY WORK
In late 2006 i started ripping everything out! took the whole interior out, removed all the glass, took all the moldings off, fenders off, hood off, bed off, cab stayed in place not messing with taking that thing off it was pretty much just a frame with a motor! By the time it was at the body shop it was early 2007 around April because i remember getting my tax return at the time taxes really helped me out with the cost of getting the paint and body work done. Sorry if i am making this a long story but its taking me back to memory lane and i'm trying to remember every detail. So i took it to the body shop and it took a few months to get it back, while it was there they made me aware of a few stuff that would help me save some money and speed up the process. I was told to replace the fenders and the hood, reason being was it was gonna cost more in labor to fix them then to buy replacements so that's what i ended up doing. Replaced the front 2 fenders and the hood i really didn't care they were aftermarket just wanted the truck to look its best! The tail gate was also replaced with an aftermarket tail gate lid because someone actually stole the lid. The rest of the truck of course is all original slight body work was done to make it as straight as possible, truck was fully prepped and blocked. Truck was fully shot taken apart, the interior, door jams, bed, were shot as if they were new. Truck was shot inside and out completely! We saved some paint by not painting the floor and part of the door where the door panel would cover it just a waste in paint.
The color code paint i used on this truck was the factory 2005 Nissan Titan Q10 Polar white blizzard, My Titan truck was white and at the time i had bought a tonneau cover that was not painted so i bought a full gallon of PPG Q10 paint for both of my trucks, painter said a full gallon would be more then enough to shoot my cover and my truck complete. If you know about paint once you reduce the paint it makes close to 1.5 to 1 3/4 gallons depending how it covers. Clear coat i bought was Glasurit clear! If you don't know about Glasurit clear coat search it online. Glasurit clear coat is top of the line clear coat and looks and shines just like glass! Look at my truck! Its been 5 years since they shot it and it looks new! Looks like this because its been garage kept it for years in my garage!
INTERIOR
In late 2007 i started putting it all back together, this was very time consuming and it was a pain in the you know what if you know what i mean! I ordered new black carpet, new headliner and ordered all the door moldings inside and out! Took the bench seat and the door panels to this upholstery shop that a friend had recommended to me were they do good work. Bench seat and door panels were covered with vinyl black with dark grey see the pics, turned out pretty good. This truck has an aftermarket sunroof, it does not slide back and forth its an old pop up sunroof, the factory headliner did not fit perfectly and had to be modified to fit just a bit looks good to me. Got the carpet, door panels, window cranks etc etc the interior is done now its time to put the dash back on, before i did that i replaced all the vents on the dash. These vents were old and broke off so i had to get new ones from the dealer, tried the junk yard but they would always break off when i tried to get them off so i was forced to buy them new. I ended up painting the dash matte black with SEM paint, this paint does not scratch off if done properly, wasn't digging that ugly brown dash. The dash does have a crack on the top the rest of the dash is ok, i was gonna upgrade the dash to the new style dash but ended up not swapping the dash ended up keeping mine and covering it with a black dash pad so you cant see the crack on the top. Alpine CDA-9847 installed plays mp3 cd's and is I-Pod compatible with the correct cable. Steering wheel was replaced with an aftermarket steering wheel, that old Nissan steering wheel was huge not to mention brown so it did not go with my new interior, new hub and steering wheel was put in place. Horn does not work and Horn button is a knock off bride horn button.
EXTERIOR
After the interior was done started working on the exterior of the truck. As i had stated all the glass was removed, ended up having to replace the wind shield in the front because it was old and cracked when removing it, not only that but had lots of rock chips and kinda looked yellow so i was glad to see it go. Rear glass is the original glass and new molding was bought to give it a new tight seal. All the exterior door moldings were replaced as well. Cowl vent panels where the wipers are were also replaced with new OEM vents they were old and also broke when they were removed. Front end of the truck is the new style front end, new 1 piece bumper was bought, clear corners, clear turn signals, new chrome grille. Just recently put the projector style headlights on the truck looks really nice in my opinion, everything seems to look pretty good still. Lower valance is OEM and bumper brackets are OEM as well. Tail lights are after market altezza style black tail lights. Fiberglass roll pan (unpainted) installed ugly rear bumper removed, bed liner installed to keep the truck bed scratch free. New door lock cylinders were put on as well, the old cylinders were not working at all so ended up putting new ones. New mirrors & Outer door handles installed as well.
SUSPENSION, BRAKES, WHEELS & TIRES
Truck was lowered with 2 inch lowering blocks, Air shocks are installed in the rear in case you have a heavy load also makes the ride a lot smoother. Front was lowered just about 1 inch turning the torsion bars down, new front shocks were recently replaced and have a lifetime warranty. Brake rotors are crossed drilled and slotted, these rotors have held in for quite a bit and still have a bit a life left. As stated i had a Nissan Titan and the wheels you see on the truck are my stock 18 inch dark grey Titan wheels. Wrapped them in 245/50/18 tires, nice and wide and not to low profile still give the truck a nice good ride. Titan wheels had to be bored out to make them fit on the hard body, believe it or not the bore is a lot bigger then the Titan wheel bore. Didn't want to run a spacer and have the truck shake at high speeds, they would also stick out which was not what i wanted it to look like. After i got them back they fit perfect looks like they came with the truck. Alignment was done at the time of wheel and tire install.
ENGINE & SWAP INFO
What you all have been waiting for engine and swap details. This truck has a full black top SR20DET swap! So sometime in 2009 the stock 4 speed transmission on my stock Z24 which is the stock engine started taking a dump. I started looking for alternatives since i did not want to rebuild the stock transmission and in all honesty i wanted more power. Stock Z24 had about 240,000 miles on the original engine and still running strong but i started searching for swaps online and came across a SR20DET truck that was some sort of show truck with all these mods, finally i started doing some more research and came to the decision that this swap is what i wanted and i had to make it happen. First thing i did was rip out the old Z24 with the transmission then started shopping for my new swap. Didn't want to buy my swap on Ebay since if i bought it on Ebay i would be a nightmare returning the swap if it wasn't good, Ended up buying from a local shop that imports engines from Japan and it was not cheap at all. Bought the Black Top SR20DET engine with matching 5 speed transmission, complete wire harness, ignitor, mass air flow sensor & ECU from the shop with a full warranty. Got to hear the engine run before i bought it and fully tested it since i was gonna take more then 90 days to complete my swap. I told the shop owner about my swap and he told me he wanted to see it when it was done, also he gave me a number of a gentleman now a good friend of mine that does wiring for SR20DET's on full race & drift cars.
When i started this swap i was pretty limited on time since i was working a lot and working quite a bit of overtime. 2010 rolls around and my swap is still not complete then in mid 2010 i get laid off, for me it was not a bad thing but a good thing since i had plenty of cash and now would have the time to complete my swap. First thing i tested the swap in the truck and noticed the head was longer then my stock Z24 head and was hitting the firewall so I searched online and seen a few people saying the firewall had to be pushed back to make room for the engine. There are 2 ways of doing this 1. cut weld and fab up something pretty 2. sledgehammer so sledgehammer it was lol. after hitting the firewall success fits all the way in and mounts line up. Before i bolted it down for good i replaced the clutch with a complete exedy stage 1 clutch kit, the stock clutch was still good but i was thinking way ahead and i did not want to undo the swap again when i could have done it while it was out so that's what i did. Resurfaced the flywheel, new rear main seal and it was ready. Bolted the swap down, routed all the hoses before hand because there is no room behind that wire wall. After it was bolted down noticed a lot of things that had to be modified, the transmission is longer so the stock shifter was further back. Had to buy new carpet again since the carpet would now have a hole in the wrong place, seat and carpet out again for the mean time to figure out the new configuration. Drive shaft had to be cut and shortened since the transmission was longer, Drive shaft was cut, welded and balanced by a professional shop. Rear end is the stock rear end, holding up perfect no issues. Pathfinder LSD can be put on but you gotta modify & cut the brakets off to make it fit correctly, you also may have to shorten the drive shaft since it looks like its a tiny bit bigger. Was gonna be my next upgrade but decided not to go thru all the hassle since the truck runs perfectly fine and has plenty of traction in the rear
After i figure out the drive shaft and the shifter part that was done and i was on to the front for the car. I had a few decisions to make and all were pretty easy for me. 1. had to decide if i wanted to have A/C in the truck, decided not to run A/C because there was no room for the A/C condenser since i was gonna run a front mount intercooler. 2. Power steering was not installed with my truck from the factory and is manual steering which means you have to have some muscle to turn this bad boy on a complete stop, once its rolling this truck handles really really good better then any truck i have driven. 3. heater core was leaking from the inside and i ripped it out and did not replace it just looped the hoses and that was it.
Cut up some aluminum pipe for the intercooler and made it fit the best i could, all the correct fittings where placed and fitted on the pipes so everything is working as it should. EGR system was taken off and not used. Front mount intercooler installed behind the front bumper looks like a radiator no one will ever know especially cops or highway patrol. Installed new Walbro 255 fuel pump had to do that since this swap requires more fuel. After we got all the plumbing down time for the fun stuff wiring, decided to call this guy up Dan that is a good friend of mine now at the time he was a stranger so i decided to give him a call to see if he can help me with the wiring part. Comes over and 3 hours later the truck is running and wires up my swap. My buddy Dan is no joke, wiring is full plug and play. No soldered wires, No cut wires, he used my factory plugs and swapped the wires into the correct plugs. If you ever need to take the swap out you can unplug the complete harness and re-connect it simple as that! Dan also wired up the cluster no make it work, everything works as it should. Reads fuel, temp, speed & tach.
Apex turbo timer was also installed at this time and it also works great, you can set the timer up to turn off the truck to allow it to cool down. Autometer Oil pressure & Boost gauges also installed to give you important engine vitals. HKS air filter installed, air filter element recently replaced. Greddy manual boost controller installed to adjust boost. Ebay blow off valve installed works pretty good surprised lol. Electric fan with flex a lite adjustable thermostat
EXHAUST
Exhaust in 2.5 in straight piping all the way down to a magnaflow muffler with a gibson stainless steel tip. No cat installed! It is straight pipe all the way down to a magnaflow muffler. Sounds nice and mellow on start up and mean at wide open throttle
WORK THE TRUCK NEEDS OR ADJUSTMENTS
1. motor is completely healthy runs strong no leaks. will need a new throttle position sensor or an ignition coil. when you open it wide open throttle around 4k to 4500 rpm the truck sounds like its bogging out or like misfire of some sort. if you drive it normal and don't open the whole throttle up you can rev it to red line but this only happens under a load. checked the intercooler pipes for leaks all is good unless its an intercooler leak which i doubt sometimes finding a leak in a pain in the butt, spark plugs changed so its not that. mass air flow sensor changed slight improvement. got it trouble shooted and its either a bad TPS or bad coil. easy fix once again motor completely healthy you can run any test compression or leak down test only before the auction closes not after don't want to deal with that after the auction closes.
2. tires are 40% up front and about 30 to 25% rear still have a bit of life will get you by for a while. only run 245/50/18 these tires are expensive especially this size, look on craigslist for some take offs that will save you alot of money. its up to you what tire size to run but i like the tires i am running right now since they have plenty meat and are wide for plenty of traction
3. door locks need to be adjusted, driver side locks but you will have to make some adjustments to it to make it open properly. passenger door disabled the handle so you can only open it from the inside still locks just can no be opened from the outside.
4. tailgate disabled as well, since it got stolen once i disabled one latch on one side. you can simply open the tailgate sticking a flat head and pulling on the handle, my anti theft mod lol
5. e-brake needs adjusting was working some time ago but does hold just a bit.
6. recommend changing the ebay shifter i put in, kinda loose but works fine. junk yard will be the cheapest option
7. anything you may want to change

I have had lots of fun and have a lot of memory's in it. It has been a complete learning experience and joy to put my pride and joy together but there comes a time where you have to part ways with your vehicles and the time is now. I would like to find my truck a great home and someone that will take great care of it as i have for many many years. I would love to keep it but it just sits in the garage and this truck is ment to be driven and enjoyed! So if you think your that one lucky person bid on my truck it will not let you down plus to find another truck like this anywhere is nearly impossible especially in the condition it is in! I am the only person i know with this swap only and the only other people i seen are on you

Nissan and Infiniti are the latest automakers to issue recalls involving faulty airbag inflators from Takata. The Japanese automakers have announced campaigns covering about 226,326 units from seven models built in the early 2000s because they contain the bad part in the passenger-side, front airbag. The affected vehicles include the 2002-2004 Nissan Sentra, 2002-2003 Pathfinder and 2002-2003 Maxima, and it also covers the 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4, 2002-2003 I35, 2003 FX45 and 2003 FX35.
Like the other vehicles with the faulty inflators, it's possible for the part to rupture during airbag deployment and spray metal shrapnel at occupants. Nissan and Infiniti have even included vehicles with replacement airbags in this campaign because those parts also could have been defective. Both companies were also part of the earlier regional campaign to fix cars in high-humidity climates where the problem has been found to be the worst.
As is the usual response, Nissan and Infiniti will notify owners of the affected vehicles and will make the repair at no charge. According to the filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these fixes will commence around August 11. Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA, or read the full defect notice as a PDF, here.

Well before quick Honda Si models of the '80s or the performance juggernaut that the Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7 became in the 90s, the Datsun 240Z was an early stake in the ground for Japanese sports cars. It was affordable, but the original Z-car was also a capable coupe that could show its tail to European and American rivals. Today, Nissan celebrates the car each year with fellow enthusiasts at its ZDAYZ event, and this year in North Carolina, it's surprising fans by launching the 2015 370Z Nismo there with some significant upgrades.
The biggest change is that the 370Z Nismo is available with a seven-speed automatic transmission for the first time. The six-speed manual is still standard, of course. But for those who don't want to use a clutch, Nissan is offering the new automatic with Downshift Rev Matching and a manual mode via paddle shifters. Power is still provided by the same 3.7-liter V6 as last year, producing 350 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque with a limited-slip differential at the back for added traction.
This hottest 370Z model also receives a brand-new GT-R-inspired bodykit that features a deeper front fascia, LED running lights and blacked-out headlight bezels. It also sports a new chin spoiler bearing the Nismo emblem and red accents that flow from the front, down the side sills and all the way to the rear bumper. At the back, there is also a smaller ducktail spoiler for a more mature look. The 2015 also wears cool 19-inch forged aluminum wheels by Rays with a new twin-spoke design and charcoal finish. Compared to last year's model, it's a much more mature-looking coupe.
