2009 Nissan Murano Le, Merlot Red, Under Warranty, Fully Loaded, Well Cared For on 2040-cars
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
This listing is for a 2009
Nissan Murano LE AWD. The LE is the top
of the line Murano with all available options, and this example is in really great,
well cared for condition. You can
purchase this vehicle worry-free, as it is still under bumper-to-bumper
EasyCare warranty from Nissan until 10/30/15 or 78,150 miles. Please review my description and photos carefully
to get an accurate picture of the details and condition of this vehicle. I encourage any serious buyers with questions
or interest in a test drive to contact me directly. The LE trim includes all of the options you want,
including: -
Full leather interior with wood trim -
Xenon headlights -
Panoramic glass moonroof -
20” premium alloy wheels -
Heated seats (front AND rear) -
Rearview back-up camera -
Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity -
iPhone/iPod integration with connection
for iPhone 3, 4, 4S or 5 (including lightning connector) -
Powered liftgate (tailgate opens and
closes itself on command) -
Memory powered seats -
Powered folding rear seats Maintenance This garage kept Nissan is my wife and my personal
vehicle, and all maintenance and service has been performed on schedule. We purchased this Murano Certified Pre-Owned
from Nissan in 2012 with 42k miles, and it is still under an extensive EasyCare
bumper-to-bumper warranty. The warranty
literally covers all repairs other than regular maintenance (oil, filters,
brake pads, tires). All warranty repairs
have been completed by the Nissan dealership, and all maintenance has been done
at either the dealership or my own garage.
The Murano will be delivered to its new owner with a fresh oil and
filter change. Other recent work
includes new air filter, new cabin carbon air filter, new battery, new rear
brake pads, and a brand new power steering pump, which was replaced under
warranty. The brake pads still have a
lot of life left, and the tires still have decent tread, but will likely need
to be replaced within the next several thousand miles. This vehicle is properly aligned, runs and
drives as it should, and does not have any warning lights, noises, leaks,
smoke, or other issues. I take
meticulous care of my vehicles, and this Murano is no exception. Exterior The paint and interior on this car are both in very
good condition. The “Merlot Metallic” (burgundy
red) paint shines beautifully with no fading, clear coat peeling, or major
blemishes. There are some minor rock
chips and small scratches on the exterior, as would be expected for a well-kept
car of this age and mileage. The most
notable scratch is on the front bumper, which I attempted to photograph. Interior The interior is in beautiful condition and has no major
blemishes or signs of wear. My wife and
I do not have children, and this car has not been abused as so many Muranos
have. There is no significant wear on
any of the leather surfaces, and no cracks or other damage to the wood or
aluminum surfaces. There are no stains,
spills, or other issues anywhere on the interior. Please keep in mind that the car is not brand
new, but that wear is minimal for a car of this age and mileage. Options/Electronics All of the electronic components and options work
properly without any exceptions. All
buttons and controls are in excellent condition and work as new. These items are all currently under warranty
and have been properly cared for. Details The car has a clear IN title in my name, free of all
liens, and ready to transfer to the new owner.
A $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of
sale. The balance of payment is due
within 10 days of sale via certified check, wire transfer or cash in
person. Pick-up or shipping of the
vehicle is the full responsibility of the buyer, but I am happy to meet your
shipper to load the vehicle at a mutually agreed upon time. Full payment must be cleared before vehicle
pick-up. Please ask any/all questions before purchasing or making
an offer on this car. If you would like
to speak via the phone or see the car in person, please send a message to me
with your phone number, or send a request and I will provide mine. Thanks for your interest! |

Kayaba, Sumitomo to pay millions for price-fixing in US
Sat, Sep 19 2015Kayaba Industry Co, which does business in the US as suspension parts maker KYB, and Sumitomo Electric Industries are facing payments in the millions to settle price-fixing cases about the components that they make. As part of the Department of Justice's ongoing crackdown of price fixing in the auto industry, KYB agreed to pay $62 million and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to set the cost of shock absorbers from the mid '90s through 2012. The company allegedly worked with co-conspirators to keep the cost of the parts high, and those components then made it into vehicles from Honda, Kawasaki, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, and Toyota. "Any collusive agreement among competitors to restrict price competition undercuts our free enterprise system and violates the law," said Carter M. Stewart, US Attorney of the Southern District of Ohio, in the DoJ's announcement. Over the past few years, the DoJ has brought cases against 37 parts suppliers and 55 executives, leading to over $2.6 billion in fines. The investigations haven't always been so successful – some of the Japanese execs fled from the US to avoid prosecution. Critics allege that price fixing is simply how business is done. According to Automotive News, Sumitomo Electric Industries is also facing a $50 million settlement in a civil lawsuit that's related to price fixing of parts like wiring harnesses and heater control panels. The plaintiffs include owners and dealers that purchased vehicles with these parts. The company asserts that the violations are from before 2010, and it now has different process in place to avoid further violations. KYB Agrees to Plead Guilty and Pay $62 Million Criminal Fine for Fixing Price of Shock Absorbers Kayaba Industry Co. Ltd., dba KYB Corporation (KYB) has agreed to plead guilty and to pay a $62 million criminal fine for its role in a conspiracy to fix the price of shock absorbers installed in cars and motorcycles sold to U.S. consumers. According to charges filed today, KYB conspired from the mid-1990s until 2012 to fix the prices of shock absorbers sold to Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (manufacturer of Subaru vehicles), Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Nissan Motor Company Ltd., Suzuki Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Company, including their subsidiaries in the United States.
Datsun expands low-cost revival with new Mi-Do in Moscow [w/video]
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Those who were disappointed when Datsun changed its name to Nissan over three decades ago may have been pleased to see the marque revived last year, even as a budget brand. Nissan's counterpart to its ally Renault's Dacia budget brand, Datsun has been steadily expanding its lineup of low-cost transportation for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback in India, the Go+ minivan in Indonesia and the On-Do sedan in Russia. And now it has returned to Moscow to reveal its fourth model, the Mi-Do.
Based closely on the On-Do sedan (which itself is based on the Lada Granta) the Mi-Do takes on a five-door hatchback bodystyle but with no more frills. It uses the same front-drive chassis with the same wheelbase as the sedan, but its chopped tail makes it a good foot and a half shorter overall. Into that compact shape, Datsun has fitted dual airbags, ABS and... well, that's about it. It's got a 1.6-liter, eight-valve inline-four kicking out a grand total of 87 horsepower to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Bare bones, this is.
While delivery of the first On-Do sedans commences next month (with the first example going to an IT specialist in Omsk), the Mi-Do is set to begin delivery early next year. Scope out the video and press release below from the Mi-Do's reveal at the Moscow Motor Show.
Automakers' sound systems: Crank it, don't yank it
Thu, Jun 21 2018Years ago, one of the first things most music lovers did after buying a new vehicle was drive to an aftermarket stereo shop to get the crappy stock components swapped for better gear. And you'd typically get not only better sound but also more bang (and boom) for your buck. But in the past decade or so, the overall quality of OEM audio has dramatically increased, while car electronics became more complex, removing the incentive for most new vehicle owners — and all but the most hardcore DIYer — to start from scratch. In 2010, I did a comparison of the average costs for OEM electronics vs. similar offerings from the aftermarket, and back then automakers' stock premium systems were by far the best bargain — and are probably an even better value now. The premium 14-speaker, 1,200-watt JBL system in the all-new 2019 Toyota Avalon is a prime example of this trend. It's standard on the top two Limited and Touring trims and is available as a $680 audio upgrade on the XLE and XSE. I doubt you can even buy 14 speakers and 1,200 watts of amplification from the aftermarket for 700 bucks, much less have it all installed. And because the system is bundled with Toyota's Entune infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and a surround-view camera, removing the head unit means you would likely lose these features. Another advantage of OEMs and their audio partners is they can design the car around the audio system. In the past, automakers would typically place speakers where convenient for packaging, not for optimal sound reproduction, and audio engineers were forced to compromise. But as with the Avalon's premium JBL audio system, this is starting to change. At a recent behind-the-scenes peek for media into the process of developing the system, Toyota and Harman engineers delved into the minutia of sealing the inner panel of the front doors to create an enclosure for 6x8-inch woofers, making space in the pillars for JBL horn tweeters and extensively measuring the acoustic properties of the interior to tune the sound to the space. I'm met some creative and skilled car stereo installers, but none with a degree in psychoacoustics. The system is also the first to feature Quantum Logic Surround that creates a multi-channel listening experience from two-channel sources. And it includes Harman's Clari-Fi processing that "rebuilds key details lost" in compressed audio formats used by streaming music services and MP3s.
