2005 NISSAN MURANO SL - 87,060 MILES - FOR SALE BY SENIOR OWNER, US $9,700.00, image 1

I bought this vehicle from my best friend in 2011. She bought it in Oklahoma in 2006 and sent it to Atlanta by one of those modern car carriers that hold +8 vehicles at a time.

The vehicle has always been serviced by an authorized Nissan dealer. We put 87,060 miles in the Murano. The vehicle is in Good Condition, as per description of Kelly Blue Book : "This car is free of major mechanical problems but may need some reconditioning. Its paint and bodywork may require minor touch-ups, with repairable cosmetic defects, and its engine compartment may have minor leaks. There are minor body scratches or dings and minor interior blemishes, but no rust. The tires match and have 50% or more of tread. It also has a clean title history, with some service records available, and will pass safety and smog inspection".

I recently moved with my daughter and her family and they will be driving me. The price is non negotiable and I am not in a rush for selling it, but you should be in a rush for getting this vehicle before it is gone, as it is posted for sale at Church. I have had some inquiries from parents of raising Juniors and Seniors at the Church's school because they are starting to shop for cars for their kids.

I am having trouble uploading the +20 pictures. Please email me if you need additional pictures.

I almost forgot to mention we are NON SMOKERS. The vehicle has never been smoked in.

I will go on a trip on May 31st, but I will leave the title of the car with my daughter, already endorsed. She is helping me with this listing and my son-in-law will be helping me with the showings and the selling transaction, he has full power of attorney. You can see the vehicle before bidding on it, but I will only complete the sell through ebay.

" I reserve the right to end this auction early if the vehicle is sold at Church "

Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.

Nissan BladeGlider Concept shows its inner DeltaWing

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

Just like the DeltaWing and ZEOD RC racecars, it takes seeing the Nissan BladeGlider concept live to get a true appreciation for its design. But that doesn't mean it's any less weird. The wedge-shaped, three-seat concept car hit the stage today at the Tokyo Motor Show, and Nissan says the car is an "exploratory prototype" for a future production model.
The BladeGlider is defined by its design with front wheels that are just about three feet apart, while the rear has a more conventional track. Opening the scissor doors reveals a center driving position flanked by two passenger seats with a cockpit-inspired design. Although no power figures were revealed for the conceptual vehicle, Nissan does say that the BladeGlider is an all-electric vehicle with its battery pack mounted toward the rear of the car helping to provide a 30/70 weight distribution front to rear.
Check out our live images of the BladeGlider as well as the Nissan press release below.

Nissan buys jalopy Maxima after seeing filmmaker's epic sales ad

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

When Luke Akers wanted to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE - yes, the one seen above that needs a ratchet strap to keep the front end from bursting with joy - the Florida filmmaker turned on his cameras and yelled "Quiet on set!" The result is a one-minute videographic homage to mankind's monuments, narrated with all the intensity of a BBC documentary to sell a 17-year-old sports sedan that comes "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission."
Just like the car in question, the ad did its job: Nissan bought the Maxima from Akers and the company donated another $1,000 to his charity of choice. Three cheers to both Akers and Nissan for their work. You can check out the video below, and head to the Ikonik Films site for the humorous print ads that were also part of the campaign.
