I am selling a 2005 Nissan Maxima SE V6 3.5. The car is silver in color with 20 inch chrome rims. The car is equipped with a sun roof, fog lights and all standard options that come with the SE model. The vehicle comes with a CLEAN TITLE. The engine sounds good; however, the transmission might need to be replaced. The vehicle drives, but it is sluggish when you put it in gear. The vehicle makes a rough bump when you engage the gear. The engine light turns on, but according to a mechanic, it is due to the transmission needing replacement, thus throwing all codes out of whack. The vehicle has a few dents; one on the rear driver side door, one on the rear driver side quarter panel by the tire, one small one on the roof, and a small crack on the front bumper. Hopefully, the pictures will show all the imperfections on the vehicle. Please keep in mind that the vehicle is used. Inside the vehicle: The carpet and seats are in fair condition, the rear passenger seat has a blue stain, which I believe was caused by a blue crayon. The center console compartment, which is underneath the tape-deck, is broken off. Perhaps the person who previously owned it installed and aftermarket radio or screen. The radio turns on, but the speakers are not connected. The sun roof works perfectly. The buttons near the dome light will need to be replaced. I looked up the replacement part for it, and it will cost about $30.00 dollars. The vehicle has a spare tire and come with an ignition single key. The AC will need to be recharge with Freon at your local mechanic shop. I am compensating the repairs needed on this vehicle with the price on the vehicle. This vehicle is worth around $10,000.00 not including the rims valued at $900.00 accorrding to the NADA.com website (if it was running perfectly). This car is being sold AS IS. The vehicle does not have a reserve, so the highest bidder will take this nice car home! The winner of the bid will need to make a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of the closing of the auction. The buyer will need to make arraignments and pay the remaining balance within 72 hours of the closing of the auction. Failure to pay the vehicle within 72 hours after winning the bid, the buyer will forfeit the initial deposit and the vehicle will be relisted. The buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery of the vehicle. Please be advised that the vehicle will be listed in local classified ads and other internet sites, therefore, I hold the right to withdraw the vehicle from this auction at any time. If you have any questions regarding this vehicle, please text me at 915-474-1758. |

Nissan Micra gets fresh new look [w/video]
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Nissan has given its popular Micra a substantial refresh. Completely revised fascias front and rear join small sheetmetal tweaks for an all-new look, and Nissan says buyers can expect to find a host of new technology indoors. That includes audio USB and AUX-in slots as well as a new audio and touchscreen navigation system with a larger display. Designers have also graced the model - known in some markets as the Nissan March - with a revised center console and new trim indoors. Be still our beating hearts.
Under the hood, a supercharged, direct-injection 1.2-liter gasoline three-cylinder engine continues to produce 97 horsepower, complete with a stop/start system that Nissan says helps make this powertrain one of the most efficient in the world. Buyers can also opt for diesel and non-supercharged engines if they so choose.
While periodically rumored, Nissan has no plans to bring the model to North America, but with sales in 56 nations and assembly in four different countries, the little Micra remains a big deal worldwide. You can check out an official video and press release below for more information.
A look inside Infiniti's variable-compression engine
Thu, Sep 29 2016We're sympathetic to anyone who had trouble understanding what's going on with Infiniti's new variable-compression engine. While we got a full tech briefing on the novel VC-Turbo back in August, the visual aids were lacking. The cutaway engine Infiniti brought to the Paris show fixes all of that. You can thank the little green and pink lines on the cutaway for making the whole idea a little more clear. Click through the gallery to see two lines – one green and one pink – that represent the different strokes allowing for different compression ratios. Remember, the compression ratio is the amount of volume in the cylinder on intake compared to the amount at the end of the compression stroke. Leave more room at the end and you lower that ratio. The length of the stroke doesn't change with this system, but where it sits along the cylinder does. Hence those two lines. The variable compression ratio allows this new turbocharged engine to maximize fuel economy when the turbo isn't needed by raising the compression ratio. It will see its first use in the next Infiniti QX50 crossover, previewed by the QX Sport Inspiration concept that's also on display in Paris, and has performance targets of 268 horsepower and 288 pound-feet of torque. After, it will migrate to other Infiniti and Nissan vehicles, with transverse front-drive-based applications first in line. Eventually, it's likely to completely replace Nissan's corporate 3.5-liter V6. We'll be poking around the engine a little more in Paris today to try and get some more info. For now, enjoy those cutaway images and those friendly little lines. Nissan's autonomous cars could drive in US first, maybe by 2020
Fri, Jan 24 2014Future shock could be just six short years away, and coming first to the US. Nissan says it might start making autonomous versions of its cars available in the US by 2020, before the tech hits the road in other countries. The Japanese automaker is in extensive discussions with regulators from California, the best-selling state for the Leaf battery-electric vehicle, for allowing self-driving vehicles to be on its roads, Hybrid Cars says, citing a conversation with Nissan executive Andy Christensen at the recent Detroit Auto Show. Many decisions need to be made between now and then, given the hurdles related to issues such as regulations, liability, safety and technology - and Christensen said the first wave of self-driving vehicles would be able to do their thing only on the highway. The vehicle of choice is most likely to be the Leaf because it's completely battery operated, making the conversion to autonomy that much easier. Last summer, Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn first promised production autonomous cars by 2020. The automaker has teamed up with MIT, Stanford, Oxford and others to extensively test its "Autonomous Drive" concepts since then. Late last year, Nissan tested a self-driving Leaf on Japanese public roads. Nissan is not alone promoting autonomous driving as a way to increase safety, fuel economy and traffic flow, just some of the reasons why the idea may be the wave of the nearer-than-we-thought-future. For example, the company says 93 percent of accidents are caused by driver error.
