This car runs decent and shifts well through all of its six gears. It does have a Check Engine Light on I scanned it and it says Misfire on Cylinder 3. The exterior of the car is in good condition, with some minor dents shown in the pictures, as well as some scuffs and dings around. Overall, the condition is very good for a car with this kind of mileage. The interior is in very good condition with very mild wear; definitely above average for its year. All electronics work fine (power windows, power door locks, moon roof, stereo). The air conditioning is ice cold. Wheels are in good condition. Front tires are about 20%; rear tires are about 40%. This car does need two front catalytic converters that are broken on the inside; they are making noise and need to be replaced. This car also needs a left ABS wheel sensor and a crash sensor for the airbag system. In addition, the vehicle has a cracked windshield, which needs to be replaced. The car also needs to have the rotors resurfaced or replaced. This Maxima definitely does need some TLC but when all fixed will be a very nice car. This car is being sold as is, wear is. Nissan hopes to inject some spice into Rogue with 'Open The Briefcase'
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Nissan is in the midst of rolling out the redesigned 2014 Rogue and has launched an interesting social media game called Open The Briefcase. The video that launches this game depicts a simple ride-share gone very wrong, with a man getting embroiled in a high-speed chase in a bid to escape with a strange briefcase. Eventually, it all goes haywire, and the man and his driver are captured. The only question seems to be, what's in the briefcase?
The contest, which asks participants to select one of three briefcases by cracking a code, is set to reward three individuals with a new Rogue. New attempts can be made each day, and participants can get additional chances to open a briefcase by sharing the video. The contest kicked off on January 3 and will run until February 14. Nissan won't downsize the next Armada
Wed, 28 Aug 2013The Nissan Armada is aptly named, because in relative automotive terms, it's not just the size of a ship - it's the size of a whole fleet. And that, according to reports, isn't about to change.
While many of the larger SUVs on the market are gradually being phased out or replaced by smaller crossovers, Nissan apparently plans on keeping the Armada right where it is. And that means a large, truck-based, eight-passenger colossus, because there are buyers out there who expect no less and Nissan isn't about to lose them to the likes of the Toyota Sequoia, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, or a General Motors lineup that includes the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade.
That doesn't mean that the next Armada - which Edmunds expects will arrive in 2015 or 2016 - will be immune to constricting environmental regulations, so Nissan will have to get creative. A vehicle the size of the Armada has all the aerodynamic efficiency of the side of a barn, but Nissan is reportedly aiming to streamline that in order to boost efficiency, for starters.
Some NY cabs could avoid hybrid ban
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The Nissan NV200 is having a rough go of it as New York City's Taxi of Tomorrow. The Greater New York Taxi Association wants the van banned on the grounds that it isn't a hybrid, and has gone so far as to sue the city to keep the NV200 out of taxi fleets. According to The New York Times, the city has responded by proposing to allow taxi drivers to use certain hybrid vehicles. The Taxi and Limousine Commission's proposal would allow any vehicle with an interior volume of 138 cubic feet or more. Unfortunately, that excludes nearly every machine that isn't the size of the NV200.
Technically, Nissan is working on a hybrid version of the Taxi of Tomorrow, but it may be years before that model hits the streets, and the Greater New York Taxi Association isn't satisfied with the city's offer. In a statement, the Association said, "These rules look like they have been created to short-circuit the litigation. We do not consider this to be a serious proposal."
