1990 Nissan Maxima Gxe Sedan 4-door 3.0l As Is. on 2040-cars

Year:1990 Mileage:160000 Color: Mirrors
Location:

Port Jefferson, New York, United States

Port Jefferson, New York, United States

I am the second owner of this car.  First owner had it for 10 yrs and I had it for the last 14.
All service records are available as a PDF via email on request.
Smoke Free Car.
Recently was keyed on passenger side from front door to rear panel.
It has a few rust spots on the paint and the paint is worn.  This is not as visible in the photos since it is gold which hides it well, but you can see it in the photo of the rear bumper.  Typical for 24 yrs old.
It also has rust bubbling the paint along the edge around the trunk sill and along the floor board where the doors close.
The engine runs great and it gives a reasonably good ride.  Steering is responsive.
Other than a few minor items stated above that are typical with age, and the body being a 24 yr. old body, mechanically this is a sound car.
The interior is in very good shape and the original floor mats show little wear.
I'm selling it because my family got me a newer car and I don't need two cars.

See above for additional info.

New Nissan Pulsar marks brand's return to the European C-segment [w/videos]

Tue, 20 May 2014

Following a small teaser, Nissan has unveiled its newest entry into the hotly contested European C-segment. Making new use of the Pulsar nameplate, it will attempt to take the fight to market stalwarts, like the Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf and Vauxhall Astra.
The new five-door will be built on Nissan's modular CMF2 architecture, which also underpins the Euro-spec Qashqai and X-Trail (known in the US as the Rogue). It's a larger vehicle than one of its main challengers, the Golf, riding on a 106.3-inch wheelbase, which is 2.4 inches longer than the VW. It's also longer overall, at 172.6 inches.
The new Pulsar is a moderately powered little five-door, boasting an engine lineup familiar to anyone that knows the Qashqai. A 1.2-liter, turbocharged gas engine offers up 113 horsepower, while those that need a bit more oomph can wait for the late-availability, 187-hp, 1.6-liter turbo that American drivers will know from the Juke crossover. Diesel fans will be able to opt for a 1.5-liter mill that delivers 192 pound-feet of torque and 108 hp. No surprise here, but continuously variable transmissions are the order of the day.

European new car sales drop nearly 8% in first half of 2019

Thu, Jul 18 2019

PARIS — European car sales dropped 7.9% in June, led by bigger declines for Nissan, Volvo and Fiat Chrysler (FCA), according to industry data published on Wednesday. Registrations fell to 1.49 million cars last month from 1.62 million a year earlier across the European Union and EFTA countries, the Brussels-based Association of European Carmakers said in a statement. Calendar effects resulted in two fewer sales days in most markets, accentuating the decline. Registrations for the first half closed 3.1% lower, ACEA said. For European carmakers, weakening demand at home compounds the pressure from a sharper contraction in China and emerging markets that may yet bring more profit warnings. NissanÂ’s aging model lineup contributed to a 26.6% June sales slump while Volvo Cars, owned by ChinaÂ’s Geely, saw deliveries tumble 21.7%. Registrations also fell 13.5% last month at FCA, 10.1% at BMW, 9.6% at Volkswagen Group and 8.2% for both Mercedes parent Daimler and FranceÂ’s PSA Group. The Peugeot makerÂ’s domestic rival Renault suffered less, posting a 3.9% decline. By the Numbers BMW Chrysler Fiat Nissan Volkswagen Volvo Peugeot Renault

Kaz and Shiro talk Gran Turismo 7 details, Titan Nismo and more in AMA

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

One of the greatest innovations to come about thanks to the gigantic popularity of Reddit is the Ask Me Anything (AMA) question and answer format. The AMA becomes especially worthwhile, of course, when the person(s) answering the questions have detailed information or insight on products we love.
So, in the case of the recent AMA session with Gran Turismo creator and mastermind Kazunori Yamauchi (above), and his buddy and Nissan chief designer Shiro Nakamura (right), it was basically must-read stuff.
The pair really lived up to our expectations, too, with Kaz offering a lot of useful information about the future of the Gran Turismo franchise (especially the upcoming GT7 for Playstation 4), and Shiro promising to bring some interesting new ideas back to his colleagues at Nissan.
