2011 Nissan LEAF SL-E
100% electric!  No gas to buy, ever, and the cost of charging averages around 1/4 the cost of gas for equivalent driving!

This car is in near-new condition. Everything works perfectly, of course, and this car is completely loaded with all options available. No accident history. One-owner, purchased new in September 2011.

In addition to Quick-Charge Port (you want this, trust me), Bluetooth, Nav (with charging location finder function built-in), Intelligent Key, satellite radio, aux input, Homelink, LED headlights, fog lights, all-weather mats, rear spoiler mounted solar panel (trickle charges 12v accessory battery), and CARWINGS data-link system, this car gives you the ability to set timers for climate control or charging. This allows you to plug in the car for the night, then come out in the morning to a pre-heated or pre-cooled car, without having used any of your battery pack's juice! This is really a nice feature. I have a garage, and the ability to come out to the car already warmed up in the winter was a treat. If you park outside, it would be doubly nice! Also, the same features, and the current charge status, can be remotely accessed via your smartphone! This thing will even text you when it's done charging!

Also, I had the factory trickle-charge cable professionally modified by a LEAF specialist to permit either 120v OR 240v charging with the same cable. Many LEAF owners have done this, and it's very nice to have, whether you use it, or not. You will not need a "home charging station," with this mod completed. All you need is a 'dryer outlet' type 240v outlet, and you will get the same charging performance as with an expensive charging station. I wired the outlet in my garage myself. The mod ran about $350.
I'm a long-time Prius driver, and the tech in this thing was still a whole new level for me.
I would be more than happy to answer any questions about the car, including general electric vehicle questions, if needed!

How did Nissan tweet a response to the Royal Baby announcement so quickly?

Sun, 14 Sep 2014

A mere seven minutes after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced they were pregnant with their second child, Nissan had the perfect post circulating on the Twittersphere. How did Nissan know to expect Kate and William were expecting? By paying attention to the Internet zeitgeist.
It could be triplets and there would *still* be enough room for the Queen... #XTrail #SevenSeats #RoyalBaby pic.twitter.com/k4HiNAb7lq

2014 Nissan Rogue

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

The compact crossover segment is crowded because it offers near-perfect transportation for small families and empty nesters alike. As more and more consumers discover the benefits of compact crossovers - riding tall in traffic, enjoying four-cylinder fuel economy and the confidence of all-weather traction - automakers are jumping into the game to meet the increasing demand. Today's choices, in no particular order, include the Honda CR-V, Jeep Cherokee, Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Mini Countryman, Subaru Forester, Kia Sportage, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Escape, Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota RAV4 and this Nissan Rogue. Nearly all start around $22,000 in base trim and work their way reasonably upwards with more appealing trim levels and options. If you spend much over $33,000 in this segment, you are a glutton for frosting.
The latest player from Nissan is its all-new second-generation Rogue, introduced late last year as a 2014 model. After a brief First Drive in October, we recently welcomed back the Rogue for a week-long review. The plan was to embed the compact crossover into a family routine during the holidays, where it would receive a hearty workout hauling everything from five adult passengers and their shopping bags to trays loaded with warm honey-glazed hams and pecan pies for a dinner party. The compact CUV handled all with poise, but everything wasn't as sweet as its edible cargo.

Nissan's new GT-R boss says next car will go for more volume

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

Since its introduction in 2008, the Nissan GT-R has seen a steady increase of power and price almost every year, but the big news for the next-gen supercar might be an increase in production. Automotive News recently spoke with newly appointed GT-R chief engineer Kinishi Tanuma who said Nissan needs "more of a volume car." Nissan has sold a little more than 2,000 GT-Rs in the US since 2012 - 1,188 last year and 952 so far this year.
Of course, a key limiting factor in the GT-R's production is its hand-built engine. Currently, only four people are qualified to build the GT-R's twin-turbo V6, but Tanuma says a fifth is in training. Even if production numbers are raised, Nissan also wants to add more quality and value into the GT-R. There is still no word as to what kind of timeframe Nissan is looking to start pumping out more GT-Rs, but with a new Nismo model rumored to be bringing a two-second 0-60 time, demand is sure to be on the rise.
