2013 Nissan Juke, Manual!, +$2k Accessories, Less Than 5000 Miles, Nearly New! on 2040-cars
Sacramento, California, United States
This is a nearly new 2013 Nissan Juke SV--a bold design that definitely
stands out from the typical bland cars of today. The nearly 200 hp
turbo-charged engine and a very hard to find 6 speed manual transmission
combined with grippy tires mounted on large, but light, alloy wheels
complete the sporty package, really making this an engaging yet
economical driver's car.
This mid-range SV model includes a host of nice features, some of which includes: -Vehicle Dynamics Control + Traction Control and disk brakes front and rear with ABS for excellent handling on slippery roads (and a whole bunch of airbags if you still manage to get it wrong) -Auto Climate Control system with a slick double screen for adjustable drive-mode controls (I-CON) -Power windows, mirrors and Sunroof with dark-tinted windows in the rear -intelligent key/push-button start -steering wheel audio controls, satellite radio, iPhone/Pod interface and Bluetooth hands-free system -premium material sporty cloth seats In addition to factory equipment, I've added over $2k in Genuine Nissan upgrades and accessories including: -Rear roof spoiler in matching body color -Front fog lamp kit with correct replaced OEM turn signal combo switch -European-spec rear-fog lamp (special ordered from Europe, not available on US cars) -20-color interior light kit (just because some days you just feel like having orange feet and other days maybe green) -Floor mats, front, rear and cargo floor + extra set of thick rubber mats -Rear Cargo cover -Mud flaps on all 4 wheel arches Also, I've installed a couple of aftermarket items including a stainless-steel performance exhaust by Stillen and lower grill 'wine rack' guards by customcargrills to help prevent road debris from impinging the radiator or turbo-intercooler. (original parts available and will go to new owner) Nissan only offers the manual transmission in front drive. So sorry, you can't have both AWD and a manual. You've got to choose, and I chose the manual because it so much more fun when driving the Juke day to day. As a side benefit, compared with the AWD version, the front-drive models such as this one have an additional storage area under the cargo bay floor and they also have a larger fuel tank and get better real world fuel economy; together that offers better range per tank. This car is finished in deep Gun Metallic gray exterior over black interior. It has only just under 5k miles on it and is in superb condition; it has never been involved in any kind of accident or had any paintwork, or any other kind of repair. It's been flawless since the start, requiring only its first oil change at 3750 miles, which was completed perfectly on time. I have a clean, clear California title in hand and registration is paid through Dec 2014. The VIN is: JN8AF5MR8DT203798, you are welcome to verify by carfax. I'm only selling because I just got yet another new Nissan through my work. This car is as near to new as you are going to find, but with some significant savings from the dealer and with a bunch of nice additional upgrades on top! |

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
Nissan Leaf EVs slip through French village to make a quiet point
Thu, May 1 2014Bjork's 1995 freak-out hit It's Oh So Quiet may have reflected the singer's oddball Icelandic sensibilities, but Nissan is making the concept of relative silence a French thing. The Japanese automaker recently promoted its all-electric Leaf by staging a mini-rally through what it called "one of the quietest villages in Europe." And with the exception of a couple damaged trash bins and a destroyed rear-view mirror from an old-school archway, the race kept the drivers wide awake but everyone in the Southern French village in Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur sleeping. Nissan sent four vehicles on a five-kilometer jaunt through the village in the wee morning hours. Screeching tires and a couple booms notwithstanding, the company said everyone in town stayed snoozing. There was a broader purpose to this exercise, of course, which Nissan blatantly admits was a stunt. Nissan was helping celebrate 19th Annual International Noise Awareness Day (INAD), which took place on Wednesday and highlighted the emotional and health issues as well as high blood pressure and insomnia caused by excessive exposure to noise. NISSAN LEAF CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL NOISE AWARENESS DAY WITH A NIGHTTIME "SILENT RIDE" ROLLE, Switzerland – To mark the 19th annual International Noise Awareness Day (INAD), Nissan has taken to the streets of one of Europe's quietest villages during the middle of the night with a silent "ride" of its 100 percent electric Nissan LEAF. The activity, complete with a start and finish line in Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur, was designed to demonstrate the noise reduction levels of the Zero Emissions car compared to traditional combustion engines. The World Health Organization (WHO) states at least 13.5 percent of Europeans are exposed to road traffic noise at levels exceeding 55 dB, which is considered detrimental to human health*. The medical effects of noise levels include insomnia (50dB), obesity (50dB), psychic disorders (60dB) and reduction in life expectancy (50dB)*. As a result, Nissan has filmed a 'silent ride' to help support INAD in raising awareness about noise pollution levels across Europe.
Recharge Wrap-up: Formula E's other events, continued record EV sales
Fri, Mar 4 2016Formula E wants fans to know that it is more than just a race. During each ePrix weekend, the electric race series hosts a variety of events. For each race, Formula E sets up an eVillage where fans can meet drivers and get autographs, learn about electric vehicles, spectate Formula E's School Series races, enjoy live music and dance performances, play games, eat food and take part in numerous other activities that don't make their way into the television broadcast. Or course, though, the race is always the main event. See more in the video above. Electric vehicles enjoyed a fourth straight month of record sales in February. Despite low oil prices, customers bought an estimated 7,881 EVs last month, up 13 percent from a year before. 52 percent of those sales were battery electric vehicles, while the rest were plug-in hybrids. BMW i3 sales dropped 77 percent over a year ago, selling 248 cars. The Tesla Model S and Chevrolet Volt sold the most, while the Ford Fusion Energi outsold the Nissan Leaf for the first time. The Audi A3 E-Tron sold 248 units (same as the BMW i3) despite low inventory. Read more at Inside EVs. Renault more than doubled its EV sales in January compared to a year before. Sales were up 104 percent, at 1,886 units (1,977 if you include the Twizy). This January marked higher EV sales for Renault than the three previous years. The biggest selling Renault EV, which also happened to be Europe's best selling EV, was the Renault Zoe, up 105 percent at 1,416 units sold. Read more at Inside EVs. Nissan's "No Charge to Charge" promotion has expanded to Orlando, Florida. This is the 27th market in the US to offer free charging to Nissan Leaf customers.
