Up for sale is my 2009 Nissan GTR with 5,500 miles. The car inside and out is in immaculate condition. Black on black.

The inside still have has the new car smell.

The outside has professionally installed clear bra on the front and back to prevent rock chips.

The car is completely 100% stock other than the clear bra. It has been owned by mature people who have babied it. It has never been to the track and always been garaged.

The maintenance records include a oil change in January 2014. Since the miles are so low, that's all it needed. It can go for another oil change now.

The car has never been in any sort of accident, and has never had any sort of repairs, mechanically or cosmetically.

Reason for selling:
I actually purchased this car a month ago from a private owner in Temecula, CA. It was a spur of the moment decision. Now that it's here, I completely love the car and drive it more than my daily driver, but my being OCD is forcing me to sell. I don't have a garage to park it in and I hate to leave the car outside. It's currently under a car cover which is annoying because everytime I want to drive it, I have to remove the cover and put it back on. The car has always been garaged. The past month is the only time it's been out. The fact that I don't have a garage to park it in makes a second car for me more of a hassle.

However, please don't think I'm selling because there is something wrong with the car. The car is perfect, no issues at all. You are welcome to look up the carfax. You are welcome to call Temecula Nissan to ask the service records. If you are ready to buy, we can take the car to anywhere you desire within 5 miles radius of me to get it checked out.

Regarding test drives:
I will only allow test drives after we have agreed on a price and you have fully inspected the car and are ready to purchase with the funds on you. I do not allow test drives to see if you like the GTR - that is a test drive for the dealership. The test drive in this car will be for the potential buyer who solely wants to make sure this car is in 100% shape prior to paying the funds.

Regarding payments:
I understand some may not have $68k liquid. If you need to get a loan, take care of that stuff prior. Obviously, the car will not leave my possession until I am paid in full. I will not hold the car for anybody.

There is currently no lien on the car; I own the car free and clear.

Regarding price:
Do not call me with any offer lower than asking price. If it doesn't sell at $68k or higher, I'll keep the car. 5k miles on a GTR for $68k is a deal. There was one on eBay with 15k miles for like $72k. 5k miles for $68k or 15k miles for 72k. Weigh the options. I also just looked on Craigslist nearby. There is only one in Los Angeles with 40k miles for $60k and another in Orange County with 15k miles for $63k. If you just want a GT-R to have a GT-R, go with a car with 15k miles or one that has BS mods on it. If you want a practically new car, no modification, maturely owned, in like-new condition, then this is your car.

2013 Nissan Leaf [w/video]

Thu, 16 May 2013

If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It
Look at the 2013 Nissan Leaf - even one parked next to a 2012 model - and you'll be hard-pressed to spot the differences. Changes and updates have been made, but you have to know the details to tell. It's sort of like listening to a hipster tell you why Interpol and The National have completely different sounds.
Nissan says it didn't reinvent the Leaf because what the company has created is working. Over 25,000 Leafs have been sold in the US - 62,000 around the world - since the car went on sale in late 2010. That may not sound like a lot, but it's heads and shoulders above any other all-electric car available anywhere. The car has its detractors - boy, does it ever - but Nissan knows it's hard to argue with real-world success.

Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.

Nissan quietly, quickly installing more CHAdeMO stations

Wed, Jul 2 2014

Nissan Leaf electric-vehicle sales continue to grow. And the number of US fast-charging stations that the Leaf can use are growing, well, faster. As it should be. Nissan has made good on its early-2013 vow to help ensure that the number of CHAdeMO stations in the US tripled by mid-2014, with Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas emerging as the most prevalent US markets, Green Car Reports says. In fact, the number of such stations, which can charge a Leaf to 80-percent battery capacity in about a half hour, has jumped to 633 from about 160 as of January 2013. About 180 are at Nissan dealerships, and that number should continue to surge since Nissan plans to aggressively add fast-charging stations through next March. Nissan spokesman Brian Brockman, in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen, confirmed those numbers and added that companies such as NRG, through its eVgo program, are also adding fast chargers throughout the country. The continued increase is good news for drivers of the Mitsubishi i (okay, we admit, there are not that many of them out there) and future drivers of the Kia Soul EV, as both of the models are CHAdeMO-compatible. Granted, the US has nothing on Europe, where the number of CHAdeMO stations has jumped to more than 1,000 from about 600 stations early last year. Nissan expects the continent to have about 1,800 fast-charging stations by year end. Still, the number of US CHAdeMO stations dwarfs the number of Tesla Motors' Supercharger stations, which total about 100.
