2010 Nissan Gtr One Owner Garaged White With Gloss Black Trim on 2040-cars
Roslyn, New York, United States
Please be patient while I document all the options and extras that come with this car.
I purchased this car new from Westbury Nissan in June of 2010. Immedialty after i brought the car to my local body shop, Manhattan Motor Sports, in Roslyn. The removed all the bronze trim off the car. The removed the mirrors and spoiler. In addition, the hood scoops and all the trim. Stripped the wheels of rubber and painted all the parts Porsche gloss black. Unless you see it in person, you can't believe what a difference this made. I tinted the windows with ceramic tint. I also tinted all the tail lights, headlights and marker lights. I added in a Passport 9500ci with a custom mirror install. Installed parking sensors and rear camera. Removed the exhaust tips and had them jet black coated. Installed a Greddy Aluminum piping kit with Blow off valves and suction kit. Forge overflow tank was also added. I removed the intake manifold and had it professionally polished. Installed a Ctek trickle charger and European daytime running lights. The interior is pretty stock. I installed a switch to allow using the Navigation while driving. I put dyna mat in side both doors for sound deadening. I removed both door handles and had them wrapped in gloss black vinyl. I didn't want to paint them because i knew they would chip. I put a Cobb mid pipe in along with a tune. Changed the brake pads because they were very noisy. I have one of the coveted sets of BBS CHR rims with Yokohama Advan sports. These rims have less than 400 miles on them. They have a set of cloned TMPS valves so you don't have to worry about the dashboard light. I also have a Barteq 400 Tmps tool that can program Tmps valves and can interact with the Nissan Cpu in order for the car to learn new valves. As you can see, i don't fool around. I love toys and do not spare any expense for my cars. Please feel free to inquire about any other specifics. If you're in the market for a GTR i urge you to come visit this once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of my toys. This car has never been launched. Car can be seen by appointment. |

Williams developing hybrid system for next Nissan GT-R?
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Back in June, Nissan announced a new partnership with Williams that would see the Formula One team's applied sciences division help develop a new line of Nismo performance models. It's not the only agreement Renault-Nissan has signed with an F1 team: Infiniti is the title sponsor for Red Bull and Renault powers four teams on the grid. It's also just the latest client Williams has signed a deal with to apply the lessons it has gleaned on the F1 circuit to other racing and sportscars. But now we've got some more info on how Williams and Nismo intend to collaborate on the next-generation GT-R.
According to Australia's Carsales, Williams Advanced Engineering is developing the hybrid powertrain that will boost the next iteration of the supercar-slayer known as Godzilla. Which may seem strange considering that the Renault-Nissan Alliance has plenty of experience with electric propulsion on its own, but then Williams has proven itself something of a leader in the field of performance hybrid powertrains: it supplies them to Porsche and Audi for their Le Mans racecars, and to Jaguar for the C-X75 concept.
Whether Williams and Nismo will settle on a flywheel-based energy recovery system or a more conventional battery-powered system remains to be seen, but brakeforce regeneration likely won't be the only element that Williams will develop for the next GT-R. Expect its expertise in aerodynamics and composites to come to bear as well, which can only mean good things for the replacement for a sportscar that's already one of the most capable on the road.
Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.
Nissan shows self-cleaning car coated in nano paint
Thu, 24 Apr 2014Washing the car is an activity like mowing the lawn that some people love and others find to be an absolute chore. For the latter group, Nissan may have an answer. Nissan is testing a nano-paint coating that could make the car wash a very infrequent place to visit.
Shown on a European Note hatchback, the key is a special layer of super-hydrophobic and oleophobic material called Ultra-Ever Dry that is sprayed over the paint. It creates a protective layer between the body and environment, and it means that when dirt or water come into contact with the car, the gunk just sheets away.
Nissan admits that the coating is still early in testing. The key will be if the stuff can actually last for the long term, and the company will be analyzing it over the coming months to see how it will react in different conditions. At the moment, the automaker has no plans to offer Ultra-Ever Dry as a standard feature, but it may make it available as an aftermarket addition in the future. Scroll down to watch the video of Nissan testing the stuff in some very dirty conditions.
