2009 Nissan GT-R Premium 725 WHP, Alpha 9, Motec M-1, Forged Performance Stage II Trans Upgrade
This GT-R has several track records at Watkins Glen 2:09, Millville, NJ Lightning ( 1:03;48 ), VIR, Mt.
Tremblance ( 1:39 ), COTA, TX (2:24:20), etc. Like everyone else I had to suffer through a long list of OEM short
comings that make this car poorly suited for a road course event longer then 15 mins in the summer. GT-R currently
fitted with taller wing pylons proven to be necessary with wind tunnel tests and test driving at the track, lower
pylons are available if buyer request.
In order to correct these problems one at a time and to enjoy the true race purebred buried deep inside
beneath all the factory defects, I have upgraded this car with the following systems / parts. For 2 years non stop
I have poured my heart, soul, wallet and engineering experience into solving every single problem that has limited
the GT-R from being the truly great car that it was designed to be. How the factory every thought that 265 F engine
coolant was going to adequately cool 285 F trans oil in a liquid to liquid heat exchanger the size of a soup can is
a mystery. But, by adding the extra Setrab cores, fans, pumps, filters to the trans oil, Front and Rear diff oil,
engine oil, systems even during the most brutal summer race this is the ONLY GT-R that will never red line the
trans oil, cook the diff oil, or worse yet - drop into LIMP MODE doing 180 MPH on the back straight at Watkins
Glen, or the bowl at Pocono !!!
My attention to detail has been meticulous because I am an FAA Aircraft Mechanic and have built and restored
many aircraft both prop and turbine and done 6 car projects as well. So the car is flawless in every respect and it
still retains a 110% premium quality look interior ( can reinstall the rear seat cushions if you want ), exterior
and under the hood. The car is absolutely 100% street legal & currently registered and inspected in PA. A very
serious contender for trophies at all shows and track events. I did not give into the idea that because I was
building a racer that I could justify the use of sheet metal and pop rivets. Look at the detail for the rebound
adjusters on the JRZ shocks - custom machined extensions - everyone else has to leave the rear storage deck out to
get to the knob. Also look at the JRZ canister installations - well engineered and easy to get to - open the hood
or trunk and instant access. Even the factory and Stillen suggest putting the front canisters in the battery &
power steering compartments - SICK !!! - not in this car.
Check out the overhead aviation type switch panel - not a panel cut into the dash with a razor knife and caulk like
some owners have done. This switch panel is where the overhead sunglass case was and I had to temporarily remove
the dash, all the A pillar trim, airbags, head liner to install all the fused wiring for this sub-panel with a
Master, Front Diff Pump, Rear Diff pump, Trans oil pump, Fans, Aux. fuel transfer pump switch from the 18 gallon
race fuel cell in the trunk, cool shirt pump, and Traqmate GPS Data Acquisition system master. Every switch has a
unique LED indicator light on it so you can easily see what you have turned on while doing 170 MPH on the front
straight at the Glen. That one switch panel speaks volumes as to the detail that has gone into all the work on this
car.
I have over $ 120 K invest in just PARTS and SUB Contracts, not including my 2,000 man-hours for engineering, fab,
and install in the car beyond the current market value.

believe me YOU DO NOT - NOT - want to do the dual Bosch 44 fuel pump install yourself - by necessity it is 8 #'s in
a 5 # bag all working through a 6" opening in the right saddle tank - after you dump 100% of all the fuel in both
tanks. You have to clock each worm clamp so in its final position the worm screw and tail don't fowl something else
- also have to trim all hose clamp bands to precise lengths so there isn't any excess - it's insane - but worth it
once you get on the dyno and see those 800 ++ ponies. I had them dial back the tune to protect the internals - and
at 725 -750 HP you are very safe with the stock engine.

MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Nissan reportedly rejecting Renault proposal for closer ties
Tue, Apr 23 2019TOKYO Nissan Motor Co Ltd will reject a management integration proposal from French partner Renault SA and will call for an equal capital relationship, the Nikkei newspaper said on Monday, citing sources. Nissan's management feels the Japanese company has not been treated as an equal of Renault under existing capital ties, and a merger would make this inequality permanent, the Nikkei reported. The outlook for the alliance Β one of the world's top automaking partnerships Β has been in focus since the arrest in November of its main architect, Carlos Ghosn, on charges of financial misconduct. The former Nissan and Renault chairman has denied the charges against him and has said he was the victim of a boardroom coup by Nissan executives opposed to closer ties. To which, Bloomberg reported that it has seen emails in which Nissan executives were working with Japanese government officials to defend the company's independence, as Ghosn was pushing for a full merger. The emails indicate growing concern at high levels of the Japanese government, in the months before Ghosn's arrest, that his merger efforts would boost Renault and its largest shareholder, the French government, and harm Nissan, in a relationship the Japanese already saw as lopsided. The emails indicated a desire to keep the existing structure of the alliance with a "re-balancing of the shareholding" to reduce Renault's 43 percent stake in Nissan, and stated that Nissan's independence "should be respected." Nissan declined to comment directly on the emails, while reiterating that misconduct by Ghosn and his former aide, Greg Kelly, is "the sole cause of the chain of events." Renault saved Nissan from the brink of bankruptcy two decades ago and under their current capital alliance, the French company holds greater control over its much larger partner. Nissan Chief Executive Hiroto Saikawa declined to say whether the company had received a merger proposal from Renault. "Now is not the time to think of such things," he told a group of reporters outside of his house in Tokyo. "At the moment we are focused on improving Nissan's earnings performance. Please give us time to do that." Renault declined to comment on the report. Renault has argued in its proposal that an integration would maximize synergies within the French-Japanese alliance, according to the Nikkei. The Financial Times reported last month of Renault's intention to restart merger talks with Nissan within 12 months.
Nissan leaning on JATCO to remedy CVT problems
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Nissan's decision to fit continuously variable transmissions across even more of its new models may be coming back to bite the Japanese automaker, as it's been hampered by customer satisfaction issues relating to its XTronic CVTs, which are provided by a supplier called JATCO.
From what we're understanding, the issue largely relates to customers' unfamiliarity with the non-traditional shift nature of a CVT. Dealers have reported complaints and service visits from owners over the belt-driven automatics (did these people not test drive the cars before they bought them and notice that they don't shift conventionally?).
The company, which Nissan owns 75 percent of, has come under fire from none other than Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, who's spoken about JATCO and its troubles rather openly. "Every time you launch a new CVT you always have some risks," Ghosn said in an interview with Automotive News. "So we now have a process by which, before we launch any new CVT, [JATCO] come before the Nissan executive committee to explain all the measures they have taken to make sure there are no surprises."
