Up for sale is a 1989
Nissan Skyline GT-R [BNR32-001853] This vehicle was purchased from one owner in Japan. The previous owner kept this vehicle in immaculate condition and in its stock form without modification to the interior or exterior, less the fog lights and NISMO cat-back exhaust system you see on this. I chose to purchase this vehicle because of the rarity of it's condition. The miles you see on this vehicle is original, and unlike some of the vehicles you see for sale on eBay or elsewhere in the US and some including in Canada, the miles on this vehicle have not been tampered, rolled back or replaced with a secondary gauge cluster. Buyer beware of those who lurk to take advantage of naive buyers with quick scams and deceptive sales points. The proof is in the documentation as this is something I ensured to obtain from the previous owner as it was very important to me prior to purchase. The vehicle (as can be seen from the images, and video files as well as an in-person look) will no doubt show proof of the care that was taken by the previous owner to preserve this vehicles chassis (exterior and interior) condition. The drive-train, wire harness (engine, cabin and rear) have never been cut, spliced or tampered with. The shocks, wheels down to the tires are in their original state of condition. That said, the previous owner (as can also be seen from the original miles) has only used this vehicle from time-to-time thus preserving the drive-trains overall health. This vehicle has been legally entered into the US commerce with proper DOT and EPA documentation filed and approved. All customs duty and entry documentation fees have been paid and this vehicle is now located in Orange County, California. Rest assured that you will not be buying a lemon or some beat to hell, defective, high mileage rust bucket. Apologies for the blurred video towards the end. [DISCLAIMER] Vehicle is sold AS/IS Unless otherwise stated
therein, these vehicles are not able to be registered in California unless the
buyer takes the proper steps to bring this vehicle into compliance with
California Air Resource Board (CARB). Please
check with CARB before bidding on this vehicle or contact me for further
details. This vehicle, however, can be
registered in all 49 states since CARB does not have an equivalency in other
states besides California. If you still
insist on driving this vehicle in California, then I suggest you look into
registering it out-of-state. This vehicle however can be insured by any auto insurance carrier as this is currently insured by Farmers Insurance with its original BNR32-001853 VIN. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate in contacting either: Franz (714) 600-8969 or Frederick (714) 269-8521. Happy bidding and God Bless! |

Nissan NV200 Mobility Taxi adds a dose of accessibility to the new-look cab
Thu, 28 Mar 2013Nissan has been making hay with its NV200 light commercial vehicle in New York. We've known since last year that the van will see service as a taxi in the Big Apple, and more recently, we learned that a variant will be kicking around to rescue ailing Gibson guitars. At its press conference this year, Nissan continued the onslaught with a wheelchair-accessible version of its NV200 Taxi.
The automaker has teamed with BraunAbility - a company that styles itself as the world's largest maker of wheelchair-accessible vans - to create this NV200 Mobility Taxi. The cab features a fold-flat ramp for rearward wheelchair accessibility, as well as a restraint system to keep said chair snugly in place at speed.
In addition to showing off the Mobility Taxi, Nissan announced at its press conference that it will be making both hybrid and fully electric versions of the NV200 Taxi available, as well. Scroll down for the Nissan press release, or take some time with our extensive live and stock image galleries of the NV200 Mobility Taxi.
Nissan Qashqai getting Juke-R treatment
Wed, 20 Mar 2013As long as there are sacred cows, there will be heretics sharpening their knives in anticipation of the butchering. When Nissan first carved into the mighty GT-R to create the Juke-R, onlookers quickly fell into two camps: those who thought the plan was sheer genius and those who believed cannibalizing a GT-R to feed a Juke was a new brand of obscenity. We fell firmly in the former camp. Now Severn Valley Motorsport is looking to take that theme one step further by shoving the go-faster bits from a GT-R into a Nissan Qashqai. That noise you hear? It's us cackling like mad men.
While we can't say for certain, we're guessing the project should yield the world's fastest Qashqai thanks in no small part to the twin-turbocharged VR38DETT V6 engine from the GT-R. Throw in the all-wheel-drive system and the little CUV should change demeanor dramatically. We can't wait to see this thing in action.
10 automakers sued over keyless ignitions
Thu, Aug 27 2015Keyless ignition has rapidly proliferated throughout the auto industry to become a fairly normal feature on new cars. It's supposed to offer the convenience of keeping the fob in your pocket and just pressing a button to drive away. However, ten major automakers are now being sued in US District Court over claims that the system is dangerous, Reuters reports. The suit alleges that people are forgetting to shut off the engine, and the lack of an idle timer is the cause for 13 deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning and multiple injuries. The suit currently includes 28 plaintiffs, according to Reuters, but the lawyers are asking for class-action status to potentially add many more. The case goes after a major swath of the industry, including BMW, Daimler, FCA, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen, plus their related brands like Acura, Infiniti, Mini, and Lexus. In all, over five million vehicles are affected. The assertion here is that people walk away from their vehicle without shutting it off because they believe the engine shuts off automatically. If parked in a garage, carbon monoxide can build up, leading to poisoning. The lawyers claim automakers know this is a problem and also cite 27 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the issue, according to Reuters. The plaintiffs are asking for an automatic shut-off and damages from the companies. These concerns have come up before, though. Toyota previously faced a lawsuit over a carbon monoxide death after a woman accidentally left her Lexus running. Also earlier this year, GM recalled 64,186 examples of the 2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt because owners weren't shutting them off. The problem resulted in two injuries, and the company released a software update to limit the idling time.
