2005 Nissan Frontier Se Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Tupper Lake, New York, United States
Up for sale is my 2005 Nissan Frontier 4x4. It has been a great truck for me for the last 4 years but I am looking to up-size to an older full size. I have taken good care of this truck, gets dirty from time to time but never abused or trashed. Its a six speed manual and the clutch was replaced the year I bought it and it's still as strong as the day I drove it home. 4x4 still works great as well as well as A/C and heater. Always ran Mobil 1 synthetic oil and changed every 5000 miles. Starts in -20* F every single time. I have upgraded a few things including:
-3" leveling kit in the front -1" add-a-leaf lift in the rear. -Bilstein extended rear shocks -Volant cold air intake (better MPG) -Helix Throttle body spacer (better MPG) -Stock muffler replaced with Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler -Rockford Fosgate front speakers -Infinity Reference rear speakers -33" Hankook Dynapro MT on Nissan steel wheels painted black -31" Wintercat SST snow tires on Nissan Alloy wheels -Red/black seat covers made for this vehicle so they fit snug and look great. Two things wrong with it: -The top of the gas cap broke off in the -20* weather but the bottom of the cap still screws in and seals as it should. -Service engine light comes on and goes off occasionally (does not blink) O2 sensor I was told but I do not have the money to put into it at this time. Local pick-up only. May be able to meet halfway depending how far. Call with any questions (518)524 nine-six-zero-zero |

Nissan Leaf sets new November sales record, Chevy Volt drops again
Tue, Dec 2 2014When you talk to people in the plug-in vehicle industry, one theme you hear repeatedly is that the more plug-in cars that are out there, the better things are for everyone. One reason is that more EVs build a need for more public chargers, and more chargers mean more people see that plugging in is feasible. But there's still something to be said for old-fashioned competition, and in the sales race between the two long-running plug-in vehicles in the US, the Nissan Leaf is resoundingly beating the Chevy Volt for 2014. In fact, it won't be long before the EV's cumulative sales top the PHEV's. But that's a topic for another month. For now, we have the sales results from November. Unsurprisingly, Nissan set another monthly record (that is, the best Leaf sales in any November, the 22nd time in a row we've seen a monthly record) with 2,687 sales last month. That's up 34 percent over last November and up 35 percent year-to-date. Toby Perry, Nissan's director of electric vehicle marketing, said in a statement that, "Our 'Kick Gas' ad campaign and 'No Charge to Charge' launch in Chicago and Atlanta drove an increase in November Leaf sales. Even with gas prices falling across the country, consumers appreciate that the cost of driving a Nissan Leaf is still a fraction of that of a gas-powered car." Over on the Chevy side of the ledger, there were 1,336 Volt sales last month, down 30.4 percent from the 1,920 sold in November 2013. So far this year, Volt sales are down 16.4 percent and Chevy has sold 17,315 Volts in 2014. As we said last month, the Volt slump might be due to people waiting on the new version to make an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show next month before going on sale in the second half of 2015. So far in 2014, Nissan has sold 27,098 Leafs. Look for our detailed post of US green car sales in the near future. Until then, please discuss last month's Leaf and Volt sale in the comments, below. Next Nissan Titan will get turbocharged diesel V8 from Cummins
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Toyota might be content to eke out an existence in the fullsize pickup market with its lightly refreshed Tundra, but Nissan looks like it'll be a bit more aggressive with its next-generation Titan. The next Titan will make use of a 5.0-liter, turbodiesel V8 from Cummins, the Japanese company announced at the start of its Nissan 360 industry showcase.
Nissan's commitment to a fullsize pickup isn't really open for debate - it made waves back in April when it lured Fred Diaz, CEO of Chrysler's Ram pickup division, down to its Franklin, Tennessee headquarters. But this news of a monster turbodiesel is big. As of this writing, only Ram is set to offer a diesel engine in a non-heavy-duty pickup. Its 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6 will arrive in the Ram 1500 in the not-so-distant future, but that engine will still be a far cry from what's promised with this Cummins mill.
The 5.0-liter V8 is expected to generate well over 500 pound-feet of torque - likely closer to 550, based on the language in the press release - along with over 300 horsepower. Those figures aren't just a shot across the bow of Ford, Chevy, GMC and Ram, they're an opening broadside, meant to demonstrate Nissan's willingness with its next light-duty truck. As Diaz said, "There is no question that the new Titan will turn heads, and with the available Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbodiesel, we expect to win new fans and attract buyers looking for this unique configuration."
