I am selling my 2001 Nissan Frontier XE. The truck looks and drives amazingly. Well taken care of and it shows. This is a 1 owner truck, has 157000 miles on it. I have brand new BF Goodrich 31x10.5 tires on Nissan Special Gray Powder Coated Wheels. The truck is a 5 speed, has cold AC, Sliding rear window, truck bed mat, hitch ready Custom bumper, Chrome Running Boards, New clutch, brakes are in great shape. Interior is very clean with rips, tears or stains anywhere on it.  Everything Works. It has the 3.3L V6 and it is a 4WD. This is the King Cab with the extra jump seats.

The only downside to the truck is that the headliner is sagging a bit in a couple of spots, but that is it. No rust, with the exception of 2 spots on the hood, one is about the size of a quarter, the other is about the size of a dime where the paint is starting to bubble.

Of course this is a 12 year old truck with many miles, so the body is NOT Perfect. There are few surface scratches on the upper side of the bed, but nothing that won't buff out.

You can see this truck just outside of Grand Rapids, MI. If you are a serious buyer and want some specific pictures, call me and I can txt/email them to you.

The truck is listed locally and I reserve the right to remove the auction if it sells locally.

Buyer will be required to put a $100 paypal deposit within 24hrs of auction end and to make full payment within 72hrs unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.

If you want it shipped, I will be happy to coordinate for you, but the buyer is responsible for all shipping fees.

KBB Pricing for Private Party is $6799 for Good Condition, $6949 for Very Good Condition and $7249 for Excellent Condition.

Andy Palmer leaves Renault-Nissan to serve as CEO of Aston Martin

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

Aston Martin has been without a helmsman since Ulrich Bez stepped down from the chief executive office at the end of last year, stepping back to serve as non-executive chairman in a semi-retired ambassadorial capacity. The British automaker, now on the cusp of a new era, has been running without a CEO since, but has now named Bez's replacement in Andy Palmer.
If you don't recognize the name, you should: Palmer has worked under the Renault-Nissan Alliance for decades now, rising through the ranks to become one of the top executives under Carlos Ghosn. Most recently he was serving as executive vice president of the entire group and chairman of the Infiniti brand, but like Carlos Tavares, who recently left Renault to run Peugeot, Palmer is now embarking on a new mission as CEO of Aston Martin.
Once the transition period is complete at the start of October, Palmer's role as Chief Planning Officer at Renault-Nissan will be assumed by Philippe Klein, who steps up from his current role as executive vice president of product planning for Renault. Read the statements from both companies below.

2014 Nissan Versa Note

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

The original Austin Mini was not designed as a fun-to-drive, sporty small car. Its go-kart-like handling and general chuckability were an unintended byproduct of essential aspects of its design. Its four wheels were pushed to the absolute corners of the car to maximize interior space, and its front-wheel-drive layout and transversely mounted engine were in contrast to the rear-wheel-drive, longitudinal layouts of the day.
The result was a highly economical car with space for four and some luggage that just happened to be an absolute hoot to drive. Nissan has followed a similar path in the design of its Versa Note, which strives to provide the maximum amount of space and efficiency in a minimal footprint. On this front, it's successful.
First, we must salute Nissan for departing from the styling of the malformed kidney bean it calls the Versa Sedan. The Versa Note is a fashionably conservative design that neither offends nor excites. The front fascia is arguably its most conservative point, with high-mounted headlights and a sharper, cleaner version of Nissan's familial grille. The tail, with its funky I-don't-know-what-shape-I-am taillights contributes most of the car's flair. The large, spacious greenhouse, particularly up front, keeps passengers from feeling hemmed-in while letting in plenty of light.

Nissan Canada to end Versa sales with Micra launch

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

There's plenty of space in Canada. In fact, with the second largest land mass of any country in the world, Canada has a population density of just nine people per square mile. But apparently there isn't enough room for more than one cheap Nissan in the True North, Strong and Free.
As you may recall, Nissan Canada recently announced it would begin offering the Micra hatchback with a starting price of less than ten thousand Canadian dollars - significantly less than the nearly $12k it charges for the Versa sedan. As a result, Nissan will reportedly cease offering the Versa sedan in new home of the olympic gold medal for hockey.
Apparently the Versa was a slow seller in Canada, a country in which European tastes tend to prevail - particularly in the Eastern provinces - more than they do in the United States to the south. Nissan evidently hopes that the Micra (a model created principally for the European market) will do better than the American-centric Versa ever did there. According to sales numbers cited by Automotive News, Nissan sold barely more than 12,000 Versa sedans and hatchbacks in Canada last year, but over 117,000 in the United States.
