Up for sale is this super clean 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S Coupe. Unfortunately, this vehicle was involved in a fresh water flood and is being sold with a salvage title. The previous owner drove this vehicle over a puddle of rain water and the intake on the vehicle sucked water into the engine, causing the motor to hydrlock. We purchased a low mileage engine from a Nissan specialist in Upstate New York and had this motor installed in the vehicle by a local technician in staten island NY. We have all the receipts for this work and the new motor runs perfectly. The vehicle runs and drives like dream now and we also had the technician do all the scheduled maintenance on the vehicle. This vehicle runs as if it were brand new. Besides the water entering the original engine, there was no other damage done to the vehicle. No water entered the interior of the vehicle and there is no corrosion anywhere at all. The vehicle runs and drives fantastically and everything in the vehicle works the way it should, and I mean everything (see my video)! This vehicle needs nothing at all! We went through this vehicle from top to bottom and its ready to be sold to its next proud owner.
This Altima is super clean and has a black onyx exterior with black interior.  The seats are in like new condition as well as the rest of the interior. This Altima just turned 31k miles and it runs and drives fantastically! The drive is so smooth and comfortable, its like floating on a cloud. Every feature in the car is working the way it should including the AC, Stereo system, Tire pressure monitoring system, and all other power accessories. This vehicle is ready for its new owner and needs nothing at all done to it. We just had it professionally detailed inside and out.
This Altma is loaded up with all the power options that you could possibly want in an Altima. This vehicle has power windows, power locks, power mirrors, Cruise control, In-dash CD player, tire pressure monitoring system, remote keyless entry with smart key, push button start, very econical 4 cylinder engine, on board trip computerm, Ice cold ac, and too much more to list. This vehicle has all the comfort features.
This Altima comes with the TWO original Nissan smart key fobs. We also have all the original floor mats, the unused spare tire and jack, and the complete tool kit as well. Its all here.
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. This vehicle was never involved in any collisions on the carfax report. The car has all matching Continental tires all around. We have driven it 1000 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. You can literally jump in this vehicle and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has new brakes, new rotors, and new windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is clean. The paint is nice and glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. The body is in above average condition and there is no real blemishes to point out on this vehicle at all. The car shows extremely well, especially for its age. You will be hard pressed to find another Altima in this shape, especially with all these options.
The interior of the vehicle is also super clean. The seats have no cracks or rips and the cushions are very firm and supple. The dash and door panels are also very nice and clean.  All the interior trimmings and other interior panels are in perfect condition. The interior is perfect condition in my opinion.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle is being sold with a salvage title. It is the buyers responsibility to know the laws and requirements for registering a salvage vehicle in their state. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. I do drive this vehicle daily, so the mileage might be slightly higher at the end of the auction. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646- 243- 9866. Thanks and good luck bidding!

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida rules out closer capital ties with Renault

Mon, Dec 2 2019

YOKOHAMA — Nissan is committed to its automaking alliance with Renault but will not look to deepen its capital ties with the French automaker any time soon, its new CEO said on Monday. On his first day in the new position, chief executive Makoto Uchida also pledged to repair profitability at Japan's No. 2 automaker and said setting realistic targets would be key toward that goal, as it tries to make a clean break from the leadership of former chairman Carlos Ghosn. "Closer capital ties with Renault are not a focus in the short term," he told reporters. Uchida became CEO of Nissan on Dec. 1, as the car maker tries to recover from a profit slump and draw a line under a year of turmoil after the Ghosn scandal. The ousted chairman is fighting financial misconduct charges in Japan. One of the new CEO's big tasks is to salvage ties with Renault, which have deteriorated since Ghosn's ouster as chairman of both companies. Renault holds a 43.4% stake in Nissan after it saved the Japanese automaker from financial ruin two decades ago, and has pushed for the two companies to merge. In rejecting a notion of a merger with Renault, Uchida, 53, echoes his predecessor Hiroto Saikawa, who stepped down in September. He added that the alliance must re-think how it can serve all of its three members, which also includes Mitsubishi Motors. "The alliance has to benefit each of its partners in terms of revenue and profit," he said. "We need to re-evaluate what has worked and what hasn't worked in the alliance in the past few years." The CEO called for Nissan to set "challenging but achievable" targets, adding that this and the launch of more new car models and vehicle technologies would be key to its financial recovery. Nissan is bracing for its lowest annual profit in 11 years and has slashed its dividend by 65%. Its struggles come at a time when car companies desperately need scale to keep up with sweeping technological changes like electric vehicles and ride-hailing. "Somewhere along the way we created a culture of setting targets which could not be achieved," Uchida said, adding that this had resulted in a focus on short-term results. "Years of this had led Nissan to its current "difficult situation," he said, using heavy vehicle discounting in the U.S. market as an example of how aggressive sales targets to grow market share had deteriorated the company's brand.

Datsun's lackluster initial sales fall below Tata Nano

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

When Tata introduced the Nano back in 2008, everyone was amazed at how cheap it was. They called it a game changer, but no game was changed. In fact, it took Tata five years to sell the 250,000 units it had the capacity to build in a single year. As it turns out, even buyers in what economists call "developing markets" like India aren't necessarily interested in buying an ultra-cheap automobile. And now it appears that Nissan may be falling into the same trap.
A little over a year ago, Nissan revived its old moniker Datsun to serve as a budget brand - similar to what ally Renault did with Dacia. Its lineup (consisting of models like the Go hatchback, Go+ minivan, On-Do sedan and Mi-Do hatch) is largely based on old architecture, packaged with little more than basic equipment and sold at rock-bottom prices. But Bloomberg reports that, even in the brand's core markets like India and Indonesia, the new Datsuns haven't been selling.
According to local industry figures, Datsun has sold fewer than 10,000 units of its $5,100 Go hatchbacks in India since its introduction back in March. Maruti Suzuki, by comparison, sells twice that many of its similarly priced Alto hatchbacks every month. In fact, after peaking in April, Datsun only sold 607 units in India this past July, dipping 77 percent to drop below even the number of Nanos which Tata sold that month.

Nissan previews new Sport Sedan Concept ahead of Detroit debut

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

When the Cobo Center opens its doors in a couple of weeks for the Detroit Auto Show, there'll be plenty of new metal on display - and this is the latest.
Nissan announced today that it will bring a new Sport Sedan Concept to the Detroit show, releasing the short statement below accompanied by the teaser image above. Expected to hint at the next Maxima, the concept "previews a new energetic design direction that amplifies Nissan's legendary approach of applying sports car principles to a sedan."
That's about all Nissan is saying for now, so we'll have to wait a while longer to find out more. But the concept will be joined on the show floor by the IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo concepts that'll be showcased for the first time in North American after their debut at the Tokyo Motor Show over a month ago.
