Nissan : 350z Coupe, 2005, 3.5 V6, $2k Stereo, Auto, 99k Miles, Great Condition! on 2040-cars
Spruce Pine, North Carolina, United States
This car is in near perfect shape. I have only had one problem with it, after having owned it for 55,000 of its current 99,000 miles. The Cold Air Intake that I had installed would pull water from the ground and trip the computer into "limp-home" mode. I had the CAI cut to where this is no longer a problem. The car runs like a dream and sounds amazing! It has around 312 HP and can easily be built up to 400 to 500HP, or you could keep it purely original as a show car or Sunday driver. It drives and handles like a true super-sports car. Nissan made the suspension and steering stiff and ultra responsive. There is no body roll or delay when making quick maneuvers. This 350Z is by far the best Nissan has made. Factory OEM Options: HID Headlights, Alarm System Remote Entry, 6 Speaker Stereo W/ CD Player Power windows, locks & mirrors Traction control (can be turned off to spin tires) Airbags, anti-lock brakes, garage door opener Cruise control, tilt wheel, MPG gauge 3.5 liter V6, A/T, rear wheel drive Aluminum Alloy Rims Aluminum Hood & suspension components, rear window wiper and washer fluid squirter And much more! The only issues with the car is that there is a small dent on the passenger side of the front bumper from a small animal that was hit. Also, the clear coat on the side mirrors has faded. These are simple fixes, but I have been in school and have not had time to get them repaired. You can view the dent in the pictures above. The tires are BF Goodrich G Force Sports high performance tires - the last 4 of these tires in the country! I hate to sell this Z, but I need the money! Trades: I want to sell this car for cash as I am moving to NY for an internship and need the money for rent. Was around $41,000 new! *REASON FOR SELLING*: I have an internship in NYC and will be leaving my hometown to live in an apartment. Due to the congestion in the city and the cost of living, I am having to sell the car. I love the 350Z as it has been my pride and joy for 5 years. I have been sure to take great care of the car because I love it so much. I hate to sell it, but I need the cash for rent and living expenses. Modifications: AEM Cold Air Intake - Red (matches exterior of car) 2 10" Kicker Subwoofers and Amp Custom Subwoofer Box Touch Screen Stereo (damaged due to summer heat, but still works properly) Please read important details below.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and to have satisfied themselves as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement. Winning this auction does not entitle you to come inspect the car and decide if you want to purchase it, but obligates you to complete the purchase. I need the money for my trip to New York for schooling and an internship that I have acquired, so please make fair offers. Thanks! |

The next steps automakers could take after sales drop again in April
Tue, May 2 2017DETROIT (Reuters) - Major automakers on Tuesday posted declines in U.S. new vehicle sales for April in a sign the long boom cycle that lifted the American auto industry to record sales last year is losing steam, sending carmaker stocks down. The drop in sales versus April 2016 came on the heels of a disappointing March, which automakers had shrugged off as just a bad month. But two straight weak months has heightened Wall Street worries the cyclical industry is on a downward swing after a nearly uninterrupted boom since the Great Recession's end in 2010. Auto sales were a drag on U.S. first-quarter gross domestic product, with the economy growing at an annual rate of just 0.7 percent according to an advance estimate published by the Commerce Department last Friday. Excluding the auto sector the GDP growth rate would have been 1.2 percent. Industry consultant Autodata put the industry's seasonally adjusted annualized rate of sales at 16.88 million units for April, below the average of 17.2 million units predicted by analysts polled by Reuters. General Motors Co shares fell 2.9 percent while Ford Motor Co slid 4.3 percent and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV's U.S.-traded shares tumbled 4.2 percent. The U.S. auto industry faces multiple challenges. Sales are slipping and vehicle inventory levels have risen even as carmakers have hiked discounts to lure customers. A flood of used vehicles from the boom cycle are increasingly competing with new cars. The question for automakers: How much and for how long to curtail production this summer, which will result in worker layoffs? To bring down stocks of unsold vehicles, the Detroit automakers need to cut production, and offer more discounts without creating "an incentives war," said Mark Wakefield, head of the North American automotive practice for AlixPartners in Southfield, Michigan. "We see multiple weeks (of production) being taken out on the car side," he said, "and some softness on the truck side." Rival automakers will be watching each other to see if one is cutting prices to gain market share from another, he said, instead of just clearing inventory. INVESTORS DIGEST BAD NEWS Just last week GM reported a record first-quarter profit, but that had almost zero impact on the automaker's stock. The iconic carmaker, whose own interest was once conflated with that of America's, has slipped behind luxury carmaker Tesla Inc in terms of valuation.
Renault planning a Tata Nano rival. Again.
Wed, 28 Nov 2012Four years ago, Renault confirmed that it would partner with India's Bajaj Auto to develop a rival to the Tata Nano. At the time, as everyone waited for the Tata Nano to arrive, you could have used a Richter scale to measure the tremors the executive suites of any automaker with an interest in the low end of emerging markets. Then the Nano, still the cheapest car in the world, didn't sell so well - at the end of last year its sales were just six percent of its most conservative projections - and everyone seemed content to let Tata spend the money to figure out if there really was a market for the cheapest car in the world.
Renault believes there is, kind of. Automotive News Europe reports that it will partner with Nissan to build two low-priced cars for emerging markets, one for €3,000 ($3,888 U.S.) and another for €5,000 ($6,400 U.S.). The price of the least expensive offering is nearly $1,400 more than a Nano, which costs $2,500, and that can't be considered a small sum in comparison. But one of the hindsight knocks on the Nano has been that even in emerging markets buyers don't want a car whose biggest lure is that it is cheap; they'd rather give their aspirations a bit more of a workout.
Renault's offerings are scheduled to hit the non-Western market in late 2014, which is coincidentally the same year that will see the return of the budget-minded and emerging-market-specific Datsun nameplate. They'll be built in Renault facilities in Chennai, India, with no mention made of Bajaj this time around.
Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test
Tue, Oct 25 2016The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
