Nice fun project car to enjoy - 2003 Nissan 350z for sale - six speed stick manual transmission Thanks for checking out my listing, its going to need some work so its a good project car. It was damaged mainly on the right side - swipe collision damage, and is missing the right side fender, front bumper cover, right side headlight and right side rocker molding, the driver seat is worn out like an old pair of jeans in one spot. It Runs and drives ,the radiators are good, all airbags are good, and it has a nice set of chrome staggered 18" wheels with barely used tires. The rear wheels are wider than the front wheels -the tires are; 275/35ZR18 ; 235/40ZR18 Hankook Ventus V12 tires .It has a nice Kenwood DNX 7100 - Garmin GPS Navigation radio. The sale conditions are that you are buying it the way it is - AS-IS condition and WHERE IS - you must pick it up from my warehouse in the Bronx NY where it will be safely stored INDOORS until then. Nissan says next Rogue coming September 10
Thu, 22 Aug 2013The Nissan Rogue has been around since 2007, and after nearly seven years on the market, it's about due for replacement. Which is just what Nissan has announced is coming up next down the pipeline.
The Japanese automaker didn't reveal much to go with this teaser image of the headlight and front fender, saying only that "the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10 when it is unveiled." That's the day on which the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors for press previews, so it's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing it at the Messe.
The news follows the spy shots we brought you two weeks ago. Expect the design to follow the lead set forth by the Hi-Cross concept from Geneva last year, with production to take place in Tennessee.
Toyota raises Japanese base wages for first time since 2008
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Toyota is on track for record profits, and in return, its Japanese workers are receiving their first increase in base wages since 2008, plus higher pay based on seniority and a larger bonus for 2014. The Japanese automaker predicts the average laborer will net a 2.9 percent income gain.
The average Toyota employee will earn 2,700 yen ($26.28) more each month, a 0.8 percent increase from last year. Workers will also receive about 7,300 yen ($71.09) more monthly based on seniority and promotions. Finally, the company's union pushed through a median bonus of 2.44 million yen ($23,768) for 2014, the highest in 6 years.
The pay boost comes as Toyota forecasts a record 1.9-trillion yen ($18.5 billion) profit for the fiscal year ending on March 31, according to Bloomberg. It has been helped by the Japanese government's efforts to weaken the yen on international markets and expand inflation. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been asking businesses to increase compensation to end years of deflation and offset upcoming higher sales taxes. Honda and Nissan have also raised their wages there in recent months.
Nissan exec Andy Palmer derides Toyobaru coupes as 'midlife crisis' cars
Mon, 28 Oct 2013Andy Palmer, Nissan's executive vice president, does not like the Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ. To us, that's like saying you enjoy barbecuing puppies, but we'll let him slide, because his statements about the Toyobaru twins are much, much more than just idle trash talk.
Speaking to Motor Trend's Nate Martinez, Palmer said, "Do we have any competitors [in the small, rear-drive coupe segment]? Are you talking about the Subaru [BRZ]? It was a car designed for a 50-year-old. It's for a midlife crisis. That's not what we do." Strong words, but what followed was even better.
"Are you coming to the Tokyo Motor Show? You'll see the answer to the midlife crisis. Except it won't be for the midlife crisis." So, if you were wondering whether Nissan is working on a competitor to the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ, the answer seems to be a resounding "yes."
