You are looking at a truly beautiful Nissan 350 Z, Grand Touring Roadster convertible with only 9,570 original miles.  It is stunning "peaks" white with a blue navy top.  It has frost leather interior which is in great shape, this vehicle has been pampered by adult owners and treated with the respect that a "Z" deserves.  It has been garaged since new, never seen snow, washed weekly during the season and covered.  Before you reed further, I have to caution you about this car. If you want privacy, then this car is not for you.  If you don't like being looked at and sometimes approached and questioned about your car, then this car is not for you.  If on the other hand you don't mind being noticed, people waving or people coming up to you, then this could be the vehicle you have been looking for.  If you appreciate a vehicle that is exceptional, never smoked in, never let anyone eat food in or spill pop, then keep reading.  Although this is a sports car, it has been babied.  I like to cruise, not drive fast.  However, it has the tremendous power that you can expect from the "Z" tradition complimented with its six speed transmission.  What I will say is I have been known to turn up the volume, it is hard not to with the six speaker Bose sound system.  Crusing down the road with your favorite CD playing, the sun beating down on you, nothing better when driving.  The vehicle is loaded with options and as you look at the original invoice you will see it was over $40,000 new.  The vehicle was originally leased then purchased.  I bought the vehicle from that person approximatley 3 years ago and haved loved every minute.  A death in the family and college tuition is the reason for the sale.  Who ever is lucky enough to get this vehicle, I expect will not be disappointed. The reserve price has been calculated by using used car pricing and is not at top pricing.  I believe the vehicle would be several thousand more if sitting on a show room floor which is where it belongs. Please email with questions, there is also a story that goes with the original owner.  Seller reserves the right to end the auction early!

World's Strongest Man champion pulls a dozen Nissan Note hatchbacks to set record

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

On December 1, Zydrunas Savickas, a five-time World's Strongest Man champion, pulled 12 Nissan Notes (the equivalent to our Versa Note) weighing 28,530 pounds over 16.4 feet in 32.9 seconds. The feat, performed in Lithuania at the end of the country's Car of the Year test camp, was enough to secure him the Guinness world record for "Most Cars Pulled By One Man."
"Once I got into my stride pulling the 12 Nissan Notes, [it] was fine," Savickas said after the pull. "Obviously, a big thank you to Nissan for helping me set the record and making it all happen."
"We at Nissan like setting records and are always aiming high," said Taina Erkkilä, Communication Director of Nissan Nordic Europe. "Today we are delighted to have been able to help Zydrunas set another world record and see so many people turn out to support him."

Chrysler has yet to name a replacement for Diaz.

Renault-Nissan zero-emissions car sales whir past 100,000 [w/video]

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

The electric vehicle has gone gold at Renault-Nissan, clocking 100,000 sales in a three-year period that began with the first Nissan Leaf being sold in Silicon Valley, California in 2010. Since then, the Leaf has become the EV champion of the world, selling more than 71,000 units so far, the majority of those in the US. The 100,000th EV sold by the Alliance was also a Leaf and also sold in the US, but on the other side of the country, in Georgia.
By comparison, Renault has sold 30,000 electric vehicles since late 2011, looking after other segments of the EV market with the Kangoo Z.E., Zoe, Twizy and Fluence Z.E. The alliance estimates that its efforts have been driven 5.2 million ion-powered miles and saved 14 million gallons of oil since they appeared. For a bit of sobering context, the US averaged 18.83 million barrels of oil per day in 2011, which is almost 791 million gallons. Per day.
So we're getting there, albeit slowly. Quietly. There's a press release and a video below with more details on the achievement.
