I am selling a 2003 Nissan 350Z Touring. This car is being sold as part of an estate sale. It has a clean title (no liens or anything), was never in any type of accident, and has always been babied and dealer maintained. It has had only one elderly owner, and only 29K original miles on it. The outside is a rare European orange, and the inside is black leather with orange stitching. The car has all options and is fully fully loaded- automatic transmission, full leather interior, xenon lights, heated seats, bose sound system, 6 CD changer/cassette, keyless entry, etc. It is in great mechanical condition and has always been dealer serviced by the owner. It needs nothing, and will drive you anywhere. EXTERIOR: The outside of the car is in excellent condition. It was always garage kept, and definitely shows it. No dents/scratches, nothing like that. Only one minor scrape on right rear quarter panel that was touched up years ago (pictured). Paint is overall very glossy and looks beautiful! INTERIOR: The interior of the car is in excellent condition as well. The leather seats all look great, heat is hot/AC is cold, and all power/electronic options work as they should. It is a non-smoker car. MECHANICALLY Let me first start out by saying that I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car tomorrow from New York to Florida and then back. Given the mileage and condition, you can be assured it is in excellent shape mechanically. The car has always been looked upon and does not currently need anything. Maintenance has always been kept on it, and it's ready to go anywhere. As a final note, all I can say is that this car is in excellent condition all around. If you're looking for an ultra-low mileage Nissan 350Z that was babied from day one, this is it. Please know the car is being sold AS-IS without any warranty implied or expressed. Next Nissan Titan will get turbocharged diesel V8 from Cummins
Tue, 20 Aug 2013Toyota might be content to eke out an existence in the fullsize pickup market with its lightly refreshed Tundra, but Nissan looks like it'll be a bit more aggressive with its next-generation Titan. The next Titan will make use of a 5.0-liter, turbodiesel V8 from Cummins, the Japanese company announced at the start of its Nissan 360 industry showcase.
Nissan's commitment to a fullsize pickup isn't really open for debate - it made waves back in April when it lured Fred Diaz, CEO of Chrysler's Ram pickup division, down to its Franklin, Tennessee headquarters. But this news of a monster turbodiesel is big. As of this writing, only Ram is set to offer a diesel engine in a non-heavy-duty pickup. Its 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6 will arrive in the Ram 1500 in the not-so-distant future, but that engine will still be a far cry from what's promised with this Cummins mill.
The 5.0-liter V8 is expected to generate well over 500 pound-feet of torque - likely closer to 550, based on the language in the press release - along with over 300 horsepower. Those figures aren't just a shot across the bow of Ford, Chevy, GMC and Ram, they're an opening broadside, meant to demonstrate Nissan's willingness with its next light-duty truck. As Diaz said, "There is no question that the new Titan will turn heads, and with the available Cummins 5.0-liter V8 turbodiesel, we expect to win new fans and attract buyers looking for this unique configuration."
Nissan and Infiniti recall 1.2 million vehicles because backup camera might go blank
Tue, Sep 24 2019Nissan North America has issued a recall for more than 1.2 million vehicles due to the ability to change backup camera settings to the point where there is no image in the display. The recall, which was filed with NHTSA on Sept. 12, 2019, includes cars, trucks, crossovers, SUVs, vans, and coupes across both the Nissan and Infiniti lineups. Reported by Automotive News, NHTSA recall No. 19V654000 affects a total of 1,228,830 vehicles across two brand lineups and more than two dozen models. It includes the 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Versa Note, Versa sedan; and 2018-2019 Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80. It also lists the 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxis, as well as the 2019 Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, and Q70L. According to the recall, it is possible to adjust the backup camera and display settings "such that the rearview image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse." Although this type of occurrence would be extremely rare and most likely a mistake made by the driver, its real possibility means all of these cars are technically breaking the law. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 111, "Rear Visibility," says so. According to Automotive News, this recall is not limited to the United States and also affects vehicles in Canada, South Korea, and Israel. The recall begins Oct. 19, 2019, and Nissan will provide affected customers with a free software update to fix the issue.
Pickup sales may hit 2M units for first time since 2007
Sat, 21 Sep 2013Even as fuel prices creep back up, trucks are still a hot item among new-vehicle shoppers. To see how popular pickup trucks still are, you don't have to look any further than how much effort automakers put into the continual one-upmanship of their trucks. Backing this fact up, USA Today is reporting that the segment could top two million sales this year - a total not matched since 2007, though still far from the pre-recession, three-million-unit levels.
Through August, the Ford F-Series continues to be the segment leader with almost 500,000 units sold, but the Chevy Silverado (328,269), Ram 1500 (234,642), GMC Sierra (122,232) and Toyota Tacoma (110,293) are all seeing at least 20-percent sales increases, helping to account for around 1.44 million truck sales so far this year - not including possible outliers like the Suzuki Equator and Chevy Avalanche.
This year alone, General Motors has completely redesigned its fullsize trucks, Ram and Toyota have significantly updated their offerings, the next-gen Ford F-150 will be out next year and Nissan is promising an all-new Titan around the same time with an eventual Cummins diesel under the hood. It would seem, then, that truck sales are poised to continue their upward trend.
