Up for auction is my 2006 350Z coupe. I'm the 2nd owner and this car has been pampered, babied, garaged, detailed, you name it.

15k miles tells you how often I drive it, it doesn't see rain or cold weather, just beautiful Gulf Coast days. Adult owned and never abused, non-smoker, completely stock.

I just renewed my Auto Butler care package for 5 more years and the engine/drive train have an extended lifetime warranty through Nissan.

If you've never driven a modern Z you don't know what you're missing. Torque is instantly available at all RPMs and the power just keeps coming. This V6 really feels huge for a car this small. Having owned a 240Z, 260Z, and first gen 300ZX, I'm no stranger to the line. Those cars all did some things very well but none of them did everything well like this car does, there's just no weakness.

It barely loses in a straight line to my wife's LS1 'vette but shows no mercy in the curvy sections of road. I hate to sell it but her happiness is more important and we can't keep two rarely driven sports cars.

Exterior: 9.9/10 - aside from the two small blemishes, this car is immaculate, like-new condition.

Interior: 9.9/10 - Almost perfect, no wear on the seats, carpet is great

Nissan reviving Pulsar name for Euro market

Mon, 19 May 2014

The Nissan Pulsar doesn't have what we'd consider a rich history in the US, other than on some models decades ago. However, the nameplate has been part of the Nissan lineup globally since 1978 and has proven popular in Asia and Australia. Now, the brand is teasing a five-door hatch to revive the name and hit European showrooms this fall.
The new Pulsar will be built at the company's recently renovated factory in Barcelona, Spain. It's not clear from the teaser whether this is the same model that is already sold in other parts of the world or a brand new vehicle. Although, Nissan says in the announcement that the car "has been designed to meet the specific demands of European car buyers."
With competitors like the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus, the European five-door hatch market is seriously competitive. It will be interesting to see if Nissan will have something special to bring to the table. Scroll down to read Nissan's full teaser about its latest hatchback in Europe.

GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee

Tue, Sep 8 2015

General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.

Nissan NV200 taxi goes on sale in NYC while mandate still being figured out

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Cab drivers in New York City may not be mandated to purchase the Nissan NV200 "Taxi of Tomorrow" per the orders of a Supreme Court Judge, but that isn't stopping Nissan from beginning sales of the bright yellow people movers.
Speaking to Automotive News, Howard Koeppel, a Queens-based dealer said, "We just got them about three days ago, and we've sold five to individual operators. They're good cars." A fully loaded example of the Mexican-built taxi is priced at $29,700, and are due to officially begin service on October 28.
The NV is meant to be the go-to vehicle for NYC cabbies, mandated by the Taxi and Limousine Commission, although the process of switching over the city's 15,000 cabs has been ensnarled by legal proceedings virtually since the word "go."
