Up for sale is my 50th anniversary edition 84 300zx turbo. This is a beautiful, great running, great handling, great stopping, very mechanically sound car. It has a good and clear Michigan title. It has no known mechanical defects or leaks, doesn't burn or consume any excess oil or fluids. Professionally built, tuned and maintained. It has a very clean interior overall. The car does have some rust but it is definitely well worth restoring. They only made about 5000 of these anniversary editions and who knows how many are left. I was in the process of restoring this gem but I now need to sell it so that my wife and I can buy a house. The car is completely loaded with power everything and working digital gauges. It has many many new parts. New wheels and tires with about 2000 miles on them 17x9 bronze mb weapon wheels with nitto nt555 255/45/17 in the front and nitto 555r drag 275/40/17 out back they fit great with no rubbing and have plenty of tread left, new clutch with around 30 miles on it, new function and form type 2 fully adjustable coilovers modded to fit this car (currently lowered around 1.5 in, you can't buy coilovers for these cars) with about 2000 miles on them, 88 turbo front spindles mounted to Z32 4 piston aluminum calipers with dogbone adapters and 12.75 in cross drilled/slotted 350z track rotors with stainless braided lines all with around 2k miles on them, new rear calipers cross drilled/slotted rotors pads and stainless braided lines all with around 2k miles on them, 480cc injectors, jecs fuel pump, z32 maf, nistune installed and is fully real time programmable via laptop, has low mileage n/a 9:1 engine stronger and better shifting n/a 5 speed trans and n/a 3.9 rear end all from a parts car with about 70,000 miles, new full 3" mandrel bent custom exhaust from the downpipe back with a stainless magnaflow muffler (not overly loud, has a nice deep tone), rebuilt factory t3 turbo running around 12lbs with a mbc on 93 pump gas (this car is easily tunable and e85 ready), urethane engine mounts, short ram intake mounted away from the engine not sucking excessive hot air or water, sequential bov, clutch fan delete with electric fan, mild weight reduction and engine bay clean up (no ac or cruise, egr delete, vacuum cleanup), boost gauge in a pillar pod made for this car (not coming with wideband afr gauge) all new fluids in the car (engine oil, trans and rear end gear oil, coolant and dot 4 brake and clutch fluid recently changed), has brand new timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor, alternator belt and power steering belt. Hood and hatch lifts work. Power antenna works. The headlights go up and down fine and betty works. For the uninitiated betty is the voice that tells you things like the left door is open or low fuel or headlights are left on. It's coming with a prothane master busing kit I never had the chance to install. It has the full anniversary edition package complete with the bronze ttops, black leather and badging. The body sonic amplifier isn't hooked up as the car has a modern aftermarket dual receiver with cd player. The digital climate control works. This car is extremely responsive with almost instant boost, it sticks to the road like glue and stops on a dime. It's all set up for e85 or a bigger turbo and would just need to be retuned for either but the ecu is fully real time programmable with the installed nistune. The nistune software also has full real time diagnostics. Low reserve and selling at a big loss, it has over $4000 in mods alone not counting labor. It's coming from a non smoker and is very clean inside. Any questions please ask, I've tried to be thorough here and I'm not trying to hide anything. I have made sure this car is in good order before posting it up for sale. Please read the full description and look at the pictures before bidding. Selling as is with no warranty and all sales final. I am also selling locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time so I am including a buy it now. She was just professionally detailed and is all ready for her new home. Take the ttops off and enjoy the drive. It's ready for a trip across country or a weekend of autocross, your call. It was my baby until my wife and I had a baby of our own and I'll be sad to see her go.

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is Japanese for "Zero Competition"

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

It was only a little more than a year ago that we were wondering if there would be a new Nissan GT-R, now here we are writing about the introduction of two of them. Carlos Ghosn himself unveiled the new 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo and the standard-in-name-only 2015 GT-R on which it is based. The Nismo is all about ape-chested mojo, coming with the tagline "Zero Competition," GT3-derived tweaks without and within and a 'Ring time of 7:08.679.
Nissan also brought the actual 'Ring-running car to the event and you'll notice that it has a different rear wing than the two show cars. We were told that the wing on the time-setting car would be available on the car that goes on sale, Nissan intending to keep its "production car" promise.
You can check out the Nismo above in the new Dark Matte Grey exterior hue and in Brilliant White Pearl, as well as the new GT-R, its new Ivory interior and LED light signature below. We haven't written this in a while, so allow us to bring the challenge back: Porsche - your move...

The 11 best scenes from the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Tue, Jun 30 2015

Over the last three days, the Goodwood Estate has played home to the eponymous Festival of Speed. Thrown by the biggest gearhead in the British aristocracy – Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Earl of March and Kinrara – the Festival of Speed is essentially a tremendous, gasoline-fuelled party, complete with a very large lawn sculpture, that features the world's hottest, weirdest, fastest, and loudest race, production, and historic models. While there are quite literally dozens and dozens of videos from the event – not to mention the full-day replays (of which only day one is available, at present) – we've sifted through them to pluck away the very best. There's stuff from the official Goodwood YouTube channel, as well as several videos from automakers and other third-party channels, and it's all available below. 2015 Ford Mustang GT350R Looks Barely Controllable If you thought the highest-performance Ford Mustang would somehow get more tractable or civilized once it moved to an independent rear suspension, this video shows you have nothing to worry about. Watch as an unnamed driver wrestles the new Shelby GT350R and its flat-plane, 5.2-liter V8 up the hillclimb circuit. Even with the new suspension and sticky tires, this Mustang wants to go any direction but straight, especially following its launch. 2016 Ford Focus RS, Is Very Loud, Blue Ken Block makes his first appearance on our list. Before he steps into his Hoonicorn Mustang, though, the Gymkhana expert tackled the hill in the all-new Focus RS. The vicious bellow of the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder is the star of this commentary-free video, although the gorgeous Nitrous Blue paint job is a nice accompaniment, as well. 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn Runs Hill, Nearly Kills Lord March Mr. Block's two runs behind the wheel of the Hoonicorn were, unsurprisingly, very eventful. While one attempt goes off without a hitch, seeing the American rally driver slip and slide his way to the top of the hill while taking a short break for a donut, the other is slightly more dramatic. Block, along with Lord March in the passenger seat, carries a bit too aggressive an angle into a turn and nearly puts the NASCAR-powered Mustang into the hay bales. Check out the first video above, and the second one below. Kimi Raikkonen Makes Us Miss F1's V8 Era The latest Formula One cars have been maligned for the lackluster noise produced by the new 1.6-liter, turbocharged V6.

Why China will soon lead the electric vehicle market

Sat, Jan 16 2016

China could be the world's largest electric vehicle market by 2020, thanks to significant government subsidies and the major drawbacks of owning an internal combustion model there. The country's populace registered 75,000 EVs in 2014, and sales figures in 2015 looked even better. In a new video, Renault-Nissan examines the trend and why it happened. Chinese cities heavily encourage buyers to go green through vehicle incentives, but they also make it a hassle to be a polluter. In some places, there's a lottery to limit vehicle registrations and alternating driving bans for even or odd license plate numbers. However, these limits don't apply to EVs, and the country's automakers have benefited from the regulations by introducing small, inexpensive electric models, albeit with sometimes hilarious styling. China's emissions regulations will get even tighter in the coming years. In fact, a Honda exec recently predicted the company wouldn't be able to sell any models there without some form of electric assistance by 2025. Get a better look at the country's electric push to clean up vehicle pollution in Renault-Nissan's video. Related Video:
